Looks to be a much faster workflow then the Field, what would be the longest song or program you could create or is there a limit? Could you go 15-20 minutes per program? I am totally loving everyone bitching about the price of this thing. People are just trained on cheap electronics. I mean it's not that far away from a top smartphone. Premium things cost premium prices.
Did you notice any changes to the sequencer from the Z? I wish they would have included a scale mode for inputing notes in addition to the transposition track/THE BRAIN 🧠 Great tracks as always. You were the king of the OP-Z in my book.

Lovely sounds. For this price, I have a nit pick with how the LED lighting bleeds through the entire body of last four white sequencer buttons. Wish the plastic was thicker to avoid that as it reminds me too much of cheap plastic. At this price premium, perfection is expected.
Finally, some demos that are solid amidst an ocean of bad music, which made it seem like the OP-XY was just a toy for spoiled kids. So there are people who buy the OP-XY and actually have musical taste. That’s reassuring. Very interested myself, but the price barrier is still holding me back… I mean, I should probably think about saving for retirement, right?
Why are so Many People so mean and negative in the comments under XY Videos ? If you like this Musical Style why dont just compliment and be nice, without shitting on other Videos ?
@@samprock yes exactly, you arrange scenes in song mode by stacking them chronologically, you have 32 slots for scenes per song. Each scene contain a selection patterns and you have 99 scenes per project

Thank you, its a fairly simple pattern with only three synth tracks involved. Brain transposing the three sequences and i have two brain clips which are alternating. most of the Crunch is actually from the cranked up delay with some added saturation from the saturator and master compressor.
Best? example thus far! - So, in the first track, there was a lot of transposing an Arp to follow different chords. How did you do it, with this particular user interface?

Portable, battery powered multiengine synth with unlimited number of tracks and unlimited length of each track - a little bit bigger than OP-XY but so many more features! Cheers!
Thanks :). i have not though about the Deluge mainly due to two things, its looks like shortcut command hell and i really do not enjoy grid sequencers and keyboards. for me setting a fixed scale kind of inhibits my creativty
@@MichaalHell Honestly it is easier in usage than it looks like - there are exposed buttons for almost everything so you have super fast access to all functions without digging in endless menus. Extremally elastic modulation options, euclidean sequencing, randomness, CV in/outs - all that makes it a Swiss Army Knife in a synthesizers/sequencers/samplers/grooveboxes world. People say that if something can do everything, it actually can't do anything well.... I think Deluge is a contr-example for this statement. Worth tor try - especially now when community firmware is expending functions of this device beyond imaginable barriers.
The deluge is the only thing that actually seems to be somewhat comparable to the OP series. I would argue that the portability factor and size is still the biggest caveat, but like you said it seems to have a ton more flexibility- I definitely want to try one!

It has nice graphics, the feature with auto-transpose is quite unique... but it is missing so many basic function that it is a little bit crazy that they ask so much for this instrument. And how the heck it's possible that you have to use 4 -fingers combination on this device!
Check out Ricky Tinez’ latest video, he showcases a guitar preset in the sampling or synth engines. He uses it with a chord player and it sounds shockingly good. I thought he sampled someone actually playing guitar.
I know you can program different velocities, but is it velocity sensitive? The piano sound is actually decent and sometimes piano is what I love to pull up when composing
@@erikmartinez9460 it is velocity sensitive. And regarding the piano sound on the first sound, that is my own multi sample from sampling my shitty out of tune piano directly from the XY mic, so it’s not really a great demonstrator of a proper piano sound 😆

Even with a talented beat maker like yourself these tracks do not convince me of the price point. The problem with many TE instruments is their sound, good with the drums but most of their synth sounds are grainy and eventually all sound the same and with a mushy blend. For the price of a 98 Toyota it should sound better but I guess that’s what you get with digital.

@@MichaalHellim curious, because i cant see it from demos that are now online;) your demo is neat but it reminds me a lot of Syntakt with added sampling and of course polyphony;) i just remember when i saw vids of op-1 in 2010 and was so surprised by innovation of it. i always thought that when TE will release successor to it that it will be step up innovation and i feel its just okay successor. of course it can do a lot more than op-1, but for now it seems like not so new, as even op-z product felt. thats why i feel kinda dissappointed by TE, because even if many of products from last years were overpriced they were surprising me with ideas, while op-xy seems like something that could be imagined by regular users. but im curious about more music from op-xy and loved beats and beautifully emotional melodies you put here:)
@ i think putting up a hype campaign as TE did for OP-XY is a bit problematic because you cause people to start imagining impossible things of what the device will be, especially when it comes to a company like TE. So I partially blame that for people being let down. A year ago EVERYONE was asking for a Op-Z Field and when it arrives then people are let down.
Cool demos. Am I correct that this doesn't have radio? And if that's true, then why does the XY have that white little 'notch' where the radio antenna is on the op-1f? Cheers.
