I light up every time you talk about homeschooling your son. I've been homeschooling since 2010 and have loved learning alongside my children! We started with Waldorf, then moved to Charlotte Mason, and have ended up mostly unschooling.
The ONLY thing I find missing from the Common Planner - and that I LOVED about the Kokuyo Biz Planner is an undated Week Plan. In your earlier video, you mentioned that you might repurpose the December 2022 month as a weekly plan. I’ll be doing that, but it will require a lot of doctoring with correction tape and all to make it so. May I request for the 2024 version an undated generic Month Plan spread and a Week Plan spread? It would be so handy to have a dedicated space for planning recurring tasks and routines! 🙏 (In pencil or frixion, obvy! 😅) Other than this, the Common Planner is a dream come true marriage of the best parts of the B6 Slim Kokuyo Biz, the Hobonichi Techo, and my B6 Nanami Café Note!!! (I also appreciate the understated typography, the monochrome color scheme and the fact that your grid is lighter than the Nanami and the NUMBERED PAGES. Yass!!!)
Thank you, Catherine! This was very helpful. Also, I received my latest order so quickly, and the clear cover fits perfectly!! The stickers are so lovely, too! I wasn't expecting it until after the holidays. Thanks again!
11:55 Hello! Thank you for the video. I just received my first Common planner and am watching your videos to set it up. Your vision board is lovely. What printer did you use to make these pictures come out so beautifully? It seems, I all the printers I ever use never get the quality I am looking for. Thank you!
I used a mix of mild liner and another brand from jet pens, but most highlighters do not bleed through. I haven't used one that bled through so far. But I think mild liner is a safe bet. I used ball pen (not jet stream) for the monthly section because I wanted to highlight over it without smudging.
I’ve never had a highlighter bleed thru in TRP but I use mostly mildliners because they don’t smear like a tombow does. But even using brush pens to highlight they never bleed thru.
i’ve found that the Canon Selphy Printer is way better quality than my Ivy, which stopped working after a year. You might also look into the Polaroid Hi Printer, which is also a dye sublimation mini printer, about the same size as the Ivy. I’ve found them more reliable in terms of quality than Zink printers, which seem to go haywire after awhile.
I really love this but I don’t journal and usually just like the take a note format. Will you be having something similar along with the common planner next year? Please say yes!
Thank you so much for sharing and for your inspiration! Would you be able to share the dimensions of the goal breakdown sheet? I really like how it looks printed :D
Catherine, is it true that you don’t use bookmarks of any kind in your planner? I thought I heard you say that in one of your videos. I’ve watched so many! Just curious. I’m starting to possibly see why myself, if so.😊
Catherine thank you for this informative video. I have a question. When anyone uses the number of the week, what is its purpose since one has the month's and days to keep the year in focus?
It gives the week more importance, it gives the week a header just like how the months have a name. I put weekly important tasks under the week number so it also helps to break up the different weeks from each other. It also helps me to "slow down" time, instead of thinking of the year as just 12 months, adding week numbers break the year into 52 smaller chunks which is helpful for me to not get overwhelmed.

Haha same! Waldorf > Charlotte Mason > Unschooling. Basically we do a mix now but we graduated one and have 4 more to go! I love Catherine’s videos!
What is Waldorf?
How did you print that out to fit in the squares perfectly?? Please do tell and also what are the measurements if you don't mind?
For VDS per Petra, heighten 6mm for a clear cover. I just had one done:) TFS!
I appreciate your videos. I learn so much! I like the idea of having the goal break down as a fold out. Do your sell it as a PDF printable?

I thought about adding a vision board to the front of my planner…now, that I’ve seen your I’m going to do it. 😊
Can you share the brand (link) of matte clear sticker paper you use. I need some for printing in my planner.

Would you mind posting the pens you use again for me? Thank you for the video. It was very helpful.
Thanks for all the inspiration.
Thank you so much!
I’m so excited to be using my Common Planner this next year! What type of highlighter do you use that won’t bleed through?

The TAN is awesome 👏🏻 I keep asking them to make a B6. I hope that if we ask enough they’ll do it.

When are the dated planners going to be available again?

What pen do you use? Your writing is gorgeous
Will you guys only be releasing the date sticker with the kits monthly? Or will there be an option to purchase them all at once soon.
Hi. Your website only shows pre-order for B6 July-Dec. Do you not have the full 2023 B6 planner available?
No unfortunately they are all sold out and there wasn’t much interest from our customers for preordering the full year version
