My God she was glowing thoughtout this interview. Absolutely gorgeous, she looked so relaxed, honest and with her usual great sense of humor. Keep it coming! Great reaction. ❤
I so remember this. I have it on a VHS tape in my archives. That Tom Ford for Gucci™ jacket must have been the audio and TV director's pet peeve. She did another longform interview wearing the same outfit with Johnny Vaughan that same week. I think it's one of her most relaxed and candid interviews she did in that era. It's worth watching.
Really glad you covered this fascinating 1999 interview. Madonna opened up here is a credit to the perception that Larry King is a benign, inquisitive interviewer who doesn’t have that paparazzi style “gotcha” tabloid agenda that thrives on scandal and intrigue. His ‘no malice intended’ questions allowed her to respond and give her take even on some controversial, some very personal matters and relationships she’s had. As usual her authenticity, wit and humor shown. She did not bad-mouthed any body, only had complimentary and positive things to say about the people she worked with and had relationships-despite how scandalous and terrible the media and tabloids exaggerated and exploited these in their reporting to bolster their viewership. I really think her success and longevity is a tribute to her self discipline, her positivity, how she rose above all the noise, pettiness and hate. She recognized how to manage and balance her personal life, motherhood, fame/fortune/celebrity culture very well-and she succeeded in compartmentalizing them and avoiding the pits and falls of being a celebrity. The skill, balance and discipline shown by that dancer who deftly twirled roped flame that she featured in her Nothing Really Matters video and Grammys performance was a perfect metaphor for her own skill in navigating her life and artistry. ❤ your reaction and insight.😊
Aww, thank you! ❤️❤️ "She did not bad-mouthed any body, only had complimentary and positive things to say about the people she worked with and had relationships-despite how scandalous and terrible the media and tabloids exaggerated and exploited these in their reporting to bolster their viewership." Yes! She seems to take life experiences in stride and use them as vehicles for continued transformation.❤️
@@OurAnxiousReactions I think the wisdom she learned and discovered in her spiritual journey through eastern mysticism specially of Buddhism and the discipline of yoga has given her a practical guide in navigating this life-such as the karmic principle of cause and effect that every thought, word and deed have consequences-that positivity, kindness and compassion ultimately leads to fulfillment and happiness-this is also the underpinning of her advocacy for many worthy causes.
I have watched this interview dozens of times. To me, her interviews always just cemented and validated my love of/for her 😍 (I can't tell you how many times I have had arguments about her for the last 40 yrs). Her interviews always showed that she's not the bad person that the tabloids made her out to be. Always, intelligent, always thought-provoking, always down to earth and real. You guys got it when you said she doesn't just give canned answers. You can see that she's really listening, she contemplates the questions being asked and answers them honestly. I also love that she has this knack of turning the tables around on the interviewer and ask them questions. She's so damn smart, funny, and worldly. Not to mention she's Hott 🔥 in that leather jacket. 🥰 Thanks again Ladies. I love watching others that get it and are as excited to talk about Madonna as I am.
Aww, thank you so much! ❤️❤️ "I also love that she has this knack of turning the tables around on the interviewer and ask them questions." Yes! Love that she always keeps the interviewers on their toes as well. ❤️
Creamy smooth pop icon goddess/performance artist 😉 I haven’t seen this since it aired. I really miss Larry King Live!! Ty for reviewing this ladies, I loved your reaction. Have a great day! ♥️
Love your smart, not anxious reactions, you ladies are lovely, please react to Madonna’s showcase promo in Paris for her American Life album, you’ll experience Madonna at her best on a very intimate show, she’s absolutely awesome.
Hello girls there is a very nice interview where the questions asked to Madonna were taken by the fans through a contest for the best questions to propose to M. Madonna - Ray Of Light Promotion - Much Music Canada Interview, 1998
I want to say that I love your reactions. You two are so elegant and sincere when reacting to the videos. I would like to ask, Please react to Madonna's videos from the 2019 Madame X era. The videos are: Medellin, Crave, Dark Ballet, God Control and Batuka. Kisses from Brazil to you. 😘🇧🇷
Aww, you're very sweet - Thank you! ❤️❤️ Sounds like there are lots of great videos for the Madame X album - Can't wait to see them when we get there! Sending lots of love your way! ❤️😘
A new one for me!!! EDIT: The dates on the photos are wildly incorrect, they are from the mid 2000s when she was married to Guy Ritchie. This must have been a repeat with those added. D'Oh hehehehe EVEN MORE EDITED: I just realised that if I selected the little black bell, I'll get notifications when you two ladies post! Yippeeeee
6:36 Two things here: 1- she mentions this because she has tried to go sightseeing while on tour, there’s even footage of her in Brazil wearing regular clothes, a hat and a wig, and still people managed to recognise her. So she basically travels places but she doesn’t see those places 2- she started the interview saying she was not a very artistic child, but there’s a story I just love! When she was 12 she danced in a school play to Honky Tonky Woman, wearing nothing but a bikini and neon flowers painted all over her body. She was in a catholic school and she got suspended and her father gave her a spank because of that. I forgot on which interview she told that!
22:13 I wonder why Larry didn’t go too deep in this question about Antonio Banderas. He was probably fishing for an answer here related to what she said in Truth Or Dare. She said she had watched Almodóvar films because of Banderas and she got really upset that when they finally met, she found out he was happily married
I said it before and I say it again: I love this woman!
❤️❤️

Great reaction. Great interview. Miss Larry King Live -- back when CNN was much better than it is today, imho.

loved this! Larry's style of interviewing was so random and off the cuff

I can't get how her hair frames her face, making her look stunning, especially from this camera angle. ❤
❤️❤️
This was that time when I thought she looked like Rachel Weisz. 😊
Great interview. 🔥🔥🔥

I love her look ❤ and image in this video - she’s so intelligent and beautiful - just like you two Xxxxxx Alan - England xxx❤

@@nicocdc5658 she could be. But I remember she mentioning this number in the interview, so that would be on her 😂
@@DanielCostadaSilva I believe that happened in 1972, so she was 14
Thank you for sharing those stories with us! ❤️❤️
Love that she was putting her art first (and risking the consequences) even at the age of twelve! ❤️
She said after she left Spain for Great Britain she could relax a lot more. She did marry again of course- Guy Ritchie.
❤️❤️
It’s funny that Madonna is totally not sold on marriage in this interview because a year and a half after the interview she married Guy 😭😅😂
that's what happens when you see a shirtless handsome hunk ;)
😂 Guess it shows you never know what's in store! ❤️❤️
Guy was a bad influence on her and Rocco, kept her back from doing and being who she truly was at the time and he’s a homophobe.
The both of you grabbed your headphones exactly at the same time….. 👀
We were in sync for that one, weren't we? 😂❤️❤️

Maybe he could tell she wasn't "going there" in her responses (since she was so complimentary of Banderas).
May I you girls, what you use to view your videos to make your reactions.. the program? I'm looking for on myself
We use OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) for our reactions. ❤️❤️
6 children is not too far 😅
Exactly! 😂
Oh my, I thought you two were a couple, not mother and daughter! 😂
😂😂😂
