    Once his tactical awareness and physicality improves, I believe he'll be unstoppable. Dixon's potential is very high to be very great and stays humble as he continues to work hard.

    I believe that the jff should setup a system where the players that arent overseas or playing for a league outside of jamaica keep training right through until everyone is on a international level.

    Id prefer Jamaican born players no matter where they are playing who knows the culture. Those players were good enough to transcend the JPL.

      @rnhor4924 Месяц назад +2

      Exactly. Not necessarily where a player borned is where a player is been raised and cultured Jamaican. They'll transfer their national duties to the JPL.

    I think we should pick the best players. Thats what all the successful countries do that have a diaspora population, including USA.
    If the coach wants to have local camps to look at players, that's fine, as long as he is the one watching games and selecting the players for those camps. If hes letting other people do it, imo its a waste of time.
    When it comes to selecting the actual squad for proper games, we have to be realistic about the level of the JPL and the fitness levels in the league.
    Having some locals on standby in case people get injured or whatever and there is no time to fly replacements in, is fine.
    I don't see the quality in the jpl, bar a few with potential and one of them is definitely not fit enough to play at the top level imo.
    You want to press, you cannot do it with part time football players.

    Representing colors us very important and understanding the Jamaican culture. I think that all foriegn based players should be given the National Anthem and they should try to learn it.. Even if they don't know it completely, at least they can move their lips when it is being played.

    Pick up team will not work all when Jamaica 🇯🇲 get new players it will not work if it’s pick up team we need to have a domestic camp 5 days a week to build then we bring in big players you will look better and start to win games

  • @gunnersboss7502
    @gunnersboss7502 Месяц назад +1

    Jamaica national football team must be 60 percent JPL and 40 percent from the diaspora. Bypassing the JPL players who are available will kill the football at all levels in Jamaica 🇯🇲 youths who play sports first Dream is to represent their country . The wholesale recruitment of players from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 will discourage them.

    The only way to guarantee that JPL players will be in the team is to have a quota, and we all know that the JPL is nowhere near a top league. We just got embarrassed by the US & a dat him fwd wid? This coach drink the Kool-Aid TPC. We are back at square one!

  • @GMerrick60

    pick the team based on form ,talent and experience, regardless of the league in which they play. If a locally based forward is on fire, pick him over Antonio, whos' not scoring for example.

    • @krislegends

      @earlyb4335 you never could have said it any better. I don't see what the foreigners doing what JPL players can't do and you don't have to can play the game to know that. Common sense tell us that the homegrown players are more anxious, hungry and will stand on the aircraft to travel and represent us, win, lose or draw.

      @@rnhor4924 you are so wrong brother, what happen from 2000 to 2022 using mostly locals? Bro I was with cavaliers training system for 3 years, I will tell you, first none of the club teams in Jamaica have any professional equipment, go to even turkey the cheapest clubs using 50 million USA training systems , just imagine what Europe clubs using, when I go to Europe to analyze the training it makes us look bad , ALL the local coaches uses old school method, the training level is the easiest you will find not lots of work ethics, even a 4th division in England have full video breakdown technology, recovery programs.etc, we have nothing home, that puts other teams light years ahead of jamaica, every local coach i talk to will tell you that, if you really believe Jamaican locals on the nation team can beat any top teams ,it's laughable, I seen USA 5 years ago play the national team when It was mostly locals and usa had the position 83% of the time, go look when USA play teams like Colombia, its the opposite, locals players only can beat regional small island teams, it's beyond a joke, me and a well known locals coach was talking bout this last week

  • @odellowe7340
    @odellowe7340 Месяц назад +5

    No, local born players are good to play against small island teams, but you are disrespecting yourself trying to put a cavalier player to play against south american are European teams, who have seen every scheme and tactics with international players, they would run circles around a player who play for whitmore or other local clubs, to make world cup and play in world cup you need players who plays in good systems, even in 1998 when jamaica went to world cup they brought in 7 british player, that's why they qualified, the coach took heat at the time for doing it but we went to the world cup, and now where football is more tactical, you have to use less locals, its the reality and i do watch most local matches by the way

      Jamaica qualified from the semifinal round of 98 qualifiers with local players and top the group involving Mexico and Honduras. The 4 English players came at the latter stage of qualification during the break of the hexagonal round and we were in 4th position at that time. The other 3 English players came after qualification.

    • @millrock78
      @millrock78 Месяц назад +1

      Jamica qualified with only three British players, Burton, Simpson and Hall, all the other British players came in after we qualified.
