    Worked like a charm! My wife had bent one of the clips that hold the element and it was stopping it from spinning. Bent it back and found another clip that came off. Fixed that too and ran diagnostic and it’s back to working .

    I had this issue of the washer stuck in a blinking clean light, and no proceeding with wash or stopping, even after unplug/replug.
    My washer is exactly the same model as in the video. I could not see any problem with the heater.
    The sequence of buttons to reset the washer worked exactly as described, and the machine is now initiating a new cycle!!
    Thank you! A life saver!
    However, I jmagine there is an underlying problem that remains not addressed?

    This was super helpful for a 10 year old Maytag (Whirlpool) unit. Someone snagged one of the heating element wires during installation or removal and it unplugged from the element terminal. After reconnecting it and powering up the unit, I was getting the flashing Clean light. Checked element continuity, which was fine, and checked the float switch moved freely and clicked, then I put it into diagnostic mode as per this video. Once it completed the test cycle, the unit works perfectly, no blinking Clean light. Running a cycle with the sanitize rinse enabled right now to make sure element is working properly. Thanks!

      I finally got my whirlpool into diagnostic mode. It went on for over 4 hours, occasionally going into the rinse function for a minute and stopping for 20 minutes or longer. I ended up unplugging it and mopping up the water that never drained by completely deconstructing the inside. Jesus Christ! What a fuckin nightmare

    I have an under the counter Whirlpool Dishwasher that was stuck in “Heated Dry” mode and the start button wasn’t functioning as usual.

    I have a similar Whirlpool Quiet Partner IV. It runs past the time for a cycle. For ex a 82 min cycle, after 82 mins it gets stuck at 44 mins and stays indefinitely. It has also taken at times 20 minutes for the timer to go down 1 minute. Turbidity sensor and control board has been replaced but the problem is still not solved. Thoughts?

    Great video - but…today the “sanitized” light started blinking on my Kenmore DW. Should I try the same thing? It washes fine and is steamy when through. The heating element has no burn spot but is pale gray in sections. Should I replace the element?

    • @thbailey52
      @thbailey52 2 года назад

      I did the normal/heated dry process and they all lit up and then cancel turned them off. So if it come back on I should replace the heating element?

    • @thbailey52
      @thbailey52 2 года назад

      I decided that “running a diagnostic” means actually letting it run so when all the lights came on I closed the door and it started. It washed back and forth from Normal to Quick Wash. It all turned off in less than 15 minutes and no lights stayed lit. I take that as a good sign?

    Question: I replaced heating element (which was clearly bad) and plugged back in. Clean was still flashing pattern so I normal/heat cycled buttons. All leds are on and the clean is flashing very fast. LEDs won’t go out. There’s a pattern to the super fast flashes 6 short, 1 long.

    My heater has continuity through it. And I have done this reset to get my costumer to use it one. After looking over everything. The heater,drain pump, motor, thermal, door latch. Control board, float switch. I could not pinpoint anything that was going on. I came to the conclusion that is was the main control board. I installed it and that fixed it for a day but then the clean light blinking happened again. 🤷🤦‍♂️

    f this did not work, take the dish washer panel off and use some (do not use WD40) CRC QD Electronic Cleaner (Wall Mart under $5.00) or any electrical contact cleaner. TURN OFFTHE POWER BEFORE STARTING THE REPAR !!!!!! This may work on your garage door, microwave (worked on all three for me )washer, dryer , computer and any other circuit board and electrical connections Your contacts on your circuit board and wires may be dirty. So don't be stingy (it will not hurt any of the electronics) soak the connections and boards. Have to do this with my microwave (if you boil a lot of water) and my garage door opener. Fixed my dishwasher today and they are all over 10 years old.

    This worked the first time , here it is the third week and this reprogramming isn't working . It's 13 years old not going spend any money on one this old . Was told that they last 8 to 10 years , and all of them are made in China now . None of the lasting 15 too 20 years anymore . Sometimes. These videos are great , but not for this died one .

    None of these videos are even remotely helpful. My heated dry button won't stop blinking. I even replaced the control board. The instructions to reset are always the same. Or they somehow involve depressing the heated dry button to get it into diagnostic mode. If the heated dry button itself blinks, it's not gonna work. Please, if you know something, help. I can't afford a whirlpool technician
