Beautiful! When trombones die, they go to trombone heaven. They then hear Trombone Angels welcoming them to heaven with full honors. It would sound like this I think. ha.
Make our garden grow arrangement was something to behold. So much controlled power. That was so enjoyable. They did that song (and many others ive watched) justice. A wall of sound.
Absplutely stunning! I am an aspired trombonist and am 17 years old. How would I go about auditioning to partake in such a grand venue with such passionate musicians?
Can you become great at trombone without being a music major or ever having a legitimate teacher? Been playing for three years (switched in college for marching band from flute). I feel like it's my second half and that I made a life mistake by not starting out playing it. I'm going to grad school to be a scientist, but I never want to stop performing and playing... I just want to be good.
I don't think you actually need a professional teacher (but it certainly can help). What is vital however, is having great recordings like this to listen to, so you know what you're working towards achieving.
Why? Is a woman somehow incapable of doing this? Is a woman less intelligent maybe? Physically incapable? Lacking of the right attitude or dedication? Please explain
@@5rc Well that's a much better reason to think they would be less likely to play low brass than outright sexism, which I had assumed was the reason originally. But I can guarantee you're wrong about lung capacity inhibiting prowess on these instruments for women. I've had classmates on bass trombone who blew the tenor trombone section of boys out of the water in terms of volume (and it was GOOD volume too, like a fat edgy tone)
Wow, that is completely ignorant, guy. Some of the best trombone players I know are women. And I know a LOT of trombone players! You need to get out and listen some more. A lot more.

10/10 best recording of these on RUclips. At the 6:00 mark is why I love studying trombone.
Thank you so much for posting these recordings! I love showing them to my band students!
Beautiful and sublime presentation.
I love that piece from The Danserye! Very nicely done.
I wish you this group could put together some kind of album... AMAZING!
I'd LOVE a HiFi recording of this stuff!

Go to college, practice every day
The Shostikovich (spelling) piece is incredible
Pardon my language, but HOLY CRAP, at 6:00 it gets INTENSE!!

Anyone know where I can get any of these arrangements (free is obviously best)? Thanks.
The guy at the drums has to be deaf after that :-D
Muito bom!!!
q coisa linda
OMG: Star Wars 14:44
I would have preferred the the Throne Room portion.
Great performance. Awesome. It is not 19 in Shostakovich, is in fact 14.
You're right, the discrepancy is in the trombone choir arrangement. Jon Bohls' arrangement has it written as prelude 19, OP.34

You can do whatever you want. Just practice
You need a professional teacher, definitely. Without your practice has no measurements...

Omg 5:40 😀😀
How def is that drummer? :P
WHAT?!
✌️☺️
Gorgeous…right up until the BLARING LOUD ANNOYING ADS right in the middle. 🤦🏻♂️
Beautiful music. As an Allstate member 3/4 of my HS years, the Trombone isn't a female's instrument. They should stick to flute, clarinet, or violin.
The best Bass Trombonist I've ever had the privilege of playing with (Tuba player here) was female, your argument is invalid.
Why? Is a woman somehow incapable of doing this? Is a woman less intelligent maybe? Physically incapable? Lacking of the right attitude or dedication? Please explain
Lung capacity immediately puts them at a disadvantage, it doesn't seem like an instrument of choice either. Similar with tuba.

@@5rc What a hilariously bad and sexist take. Have you played flute before? It requires just as much air, if not more, than low brass.
Outstanding ! Goes to show a trombone ain't a girl instrument ! They should stick to playing the flute and violin !
I know plenty of world-class trombone players who are female.
Wow dude that is such an ignorant statement.

Indigo Bone He has probably had his ass (and his bone) kicked by a chick, and is feeling inadequate. What we refer to as bone performance anxiety.
I 100% agree. Females can only play flute, clarinet, or violin. Well said Joe!
Awesome!
Awesome!
