I see at video point 4:48 the Ultrasonic Sensor at 8.729876 that is greater than 8 - yet the output Y001 indicates active , also rung 2 DF5 is 9.032536 which is less than 10 and y002 is hilited in blue. SO which one of these rungs is not properly indicating its output state ?
Hi Ken, You are seeing artifacts of the coms between the PLC and the Computer display. If you wait a split second later the display catches up and everything makes sense. Bottom line: Remember that the monitor function is intended to give you a roughly real-time representation of what is going on and is heavily dependent on the communication speed between the Computer and the PLC.
@Kevin Schnell, thanks for the comment. They are both indicating correctly. 8.729876 is greater than 8.0000000. and 9.032536 is less than 10.00000. This is comparing a floating point to a whole number integer, so think of the whole number in terms of a decimal value.
How come AutomationDirect sells the Cmore-hmi, but does not offer a STRONG-ARM type counterbalanced enclosure? Each operator needs to position the Cmore for the best view.
