As a current hawick resident, I can tell you it is. There's not much going on here.
Still have the common riding every year but even that isn't as good as it use to be.

Wow, this is truly too beautiful a town, Scotland is so scenic, seeing old castles and complexes reminds us of their former history, superb film, thank you! Happy walking!

It is one of the great gifts of the internet to be able to have access to the reality of the world. What I love about your videos is that you show beautiful places, interesting places, places I would love to visit, but you do not shy away from showing those aspects of those places that might not be so beautiful. As a result, watching the video feels more real and more immersive. By the way, I note the beautiful grey stone and it reminds me of the quarries around the Lake District that produce the grey slate. A wonderful look at a town/city I do not know at all.

I think that's one of the reasons I started this channel - to not only show the "popular" areas but also show the real country and what it's like outwith the tourist hotspots. Thank you for your words once again!

My great great grandmother immigrated from Hawick. I have her school certificate from Drumlanrig public school given on November 25th 1889. I emailed the local museum/archives office for more information. They sent me a response today. I'm going to call my grandmother today to get more information. I know i have more documents from my great great grandmother, and I'm going to find them today. I'm so excited to see what I can find out.

Possibly filmed first thing in the morning, that's why it's quite some very nice shops on the High Street. Hawick's Park is stunning and well worth a visit .👍🏻

For someone like me it's breathtaking. But I'm from Pascoag Rhode Island in the United States. The streets are full of trash. My great great grandmother immigrated from Hawick. I found a school certificate given to her from Drumlanrig public school on November 25th 1889. I emailed the local museum/archives office for any information, they sent a response today. I can't wait to see what I can find.
