I have seen so many walking tours of India and pretty much same thing everywhere. Too many people, way too dirty, rotten facades, damaged roads, etc. Im starting to think that it's not just a matter of money, but that the people there either dont know how to keep the streets clean, the houses stable and so on, or that they simply dont care...
I have seen poorer countries, yet still much cleaner.
Why would anyone be surprised?. Some cities and neighborhoods in the India are definitely third world.
