2015 Infiniti Q50 P0720 (speed sensor)

Getting code P0720 on Infiniti Q50 can mean 1 of 2 things a bad speed sensor or a bad tcm within the valve body on the transmission in this case the speed sensor was bad we tested while spinning the driveshaft and got no reading whatsoever so we know it’s bad .

I hope you are right my man. I thought the same but it was the TCM,

I just got the speed sensor code on my Q70L. From what I'm seeing, the entire valve body may have to be replaced. How'd you come to the conclusion that it was your TCM?

@@sizzystaydizzy Yes, I got the valve body straight from Infiniti and had them install it too. For a new the new valve body, a new valve body gasket and about 10 quarts of trans fluid, they hit me for about $2600 including parts and labor. It's a one day job too They initially quoted me close to $3600, but sometimes you can order the parts straight from their website yourself and catch some crazy deals and have it shipped to the closest dealership for free. Smh it's expensive af, but it did the job.
