This is about inclusivity. Encouraging people to learn a sport and join a community that they disproportionately don’t have the opportunity to. Not politics.
The amount of people who downvoted this is a good sign of why it's important to broadcast stuff like this. People don't understand just how different it is and feels for black women in our society. Anyone downvoting this please consider what it might feel like for these people if this is such an important endeavor for them.

Surfing is apolitical, meaning not political. Stop politicizing sports! Sports such as surfing bring people of all backgrounds together, not to segregate or make political statements. Shame on VOA and all politicalization of sports. Maybe if Breonna Taylor had been a surfer she wouldn't be selling drugs? We'll never know. We pay for this propaganda?
