Everyday I am grateful that I was baptized Catholic at birth. My mother was Anglican and converted to Catholicism to marry my father. She went on to become a Catholic school teacher. She passed away almost 2 decades ago, and my father since does not go to church, and has taken in views more of a protestant. That's what I tell him, and I tell him he has no idea how blessed he is to be Catholic, all he has to do is go to confession. Please pray for my Dad.🙏🏼 God bless you all!
That was an amazing analogy when you said the Pharisee saying that Jesus was a man, how can he be a God, same with the Eucharist. How could be a wafer be Jesus himself? Protestant converts will be the new face in Catholicism. They have that fire and a different insight which only a convert can only discover.
Protestantism - truly the McDonald's/Burger King of Christianity. "Have it Your Way” 🍔👑. Ironically, it was Luther's constant quoting of "Wisdom of Sirach" that made me buy my first Catholic bible. I have no doubt faithful Christians will be led more and more to Catholicism over the next 5 years.

When I went back to the Catholic Church on Dec 22, 2019 I remember when I took Communion for the first time being away 20+ years from the Church. I got so sick it was insane. During the first 2 weeks of going back my life got flipped upside down and nothing could prepare me for what was to come. I 10000000000x believe that Communion is the body of Christ from what I've experienced. Second, I've done many water fasts a week long, a few days etc. If I've fasted and taken Communion during those times the amount of spiritual warfare and craziness is absolutely mind boggling on what happens. It's like dropping a nuclear bomb in the spiritual world. The power of praying the Rosary is beyond anything I could ever comprehend. I can't explain it, but it has transformed me beyond anything I could ever imagine. Thanks for your video and putting yourself out there for the world to see. Very much appreciated.

ST. POPE JOHN PAUL II: “When brothers and sisters who are not in perfect communion with one another come together to pray... their prayer is the soul of the whole ecumenical movement. If Christians, despite their divisions, can grow evermore united in common prayer around Christ, they will grow in the awareness of how little divides them in comparison to what unites them.” “It is absolutely clear that ecumenism, the movement promoting Christian unity, is not just some sort of “appendix” which is added to the Church’s traditional activity. Rather, ecumenism is an organic part of her life and work, and consequently must pervade all that she is and does.” Ut Unum Sint, May 25, 1995
Praise be to God for such a timely video. Thank you sir for posting this video (first video I watch of yours) thank you for going in depth about many things I have questioned throughout the years. I have been on this journey for months learning more about the Catholic Church and TRUTH. Time after time God has confirmed that I am to convert. Currently attending RCIA in obedience to God, willing to give it all up to follow His will for my life.
I have been raised a protestant my entire life and I'm going to attend my first Catholic service tomorrow. I had a revelation after I prayed for the Holy Spirit to explain Revelation chapter 13 to me & it left my arms trembling. After this event I remember Candace Owens explaining that she was converting to Catholicism & explained that she's tired of an Israel focused religion that never seems to get around to Jesus. I feel silly saying this, but when you're raised in a household where the TV is on TBN all the time, and you are surrounded by Christian zionism, you don't even know this isn't what the majority of Christians believe. Now there is a channel on here called CNB. On a particular day when many people died in Gaza, including a lot of children, their correspondent to the middle east uploaded a video from his own RUclips channel, his first name is Chuck but I can't recall his last name. He seemed giddy with delight, like he was high on the amount of bloodshed. His only complaint was that the IDF hadn't gone strong enough. It's really hit me hard in the past few months that this is the fruits that the reformation has to show for itself. When I discovered that the Pope refused to endorse the Zionist project in 1904 & that Rothschild just went around it by paying Scolfield to write his reference Bible so many things started to make sense. It came down to exactly what you said here. There is no authority, and anyone can start a new church or new movement without having to be accountable to anyone else. There's more wolves in sheep's clothing than sheppards. The prosperity gospel, Christian zionism, the contempt for the blessed Virgin Mary, the obsession with accelerationism to bring about Armageddon & twist God's arm into the second coming, and much more. Mercy & justice are seen as weakness & the practice of political idolatry is rampant. They seem to outright reject Galatians 3 & Hebrews 8. They're actually happy to crush out Christians in the West Bank & Jerusalem. They will continue to hemorrhage members to both the Catholic Church & the Orthodox Church as the Holy Spirit leads people out of this madness.
@notawinemom8540 - Prayers that you discover Christ's presence in the breaking of the bread - as our brothers @Emmaus did so many centuries ago! Yes, there's a reason why Moses/Israelites weren't allowed into the promised land, yet JOSHUA/descendants WERE! Difference? Obedience!! And even Joshua set a Rock of Obedience (just as Jesus did Mat 16:18) @ Joshua 24:24-27- and many ignore to their own peril! We're even show this @ Sirach 46:1 - but Prots removed that too!

Please go! However, please refrain from receiving Communion, as receiving means that you agree with everything Christ teaches through His Catholic Church - that takes time and the Holy Spirit to come to full belief. Grab a Missal (booklet) from the pews when you arrive and page to the date in question. It will lead you through the mass. Basic advice is to sit when others sit, stand when they stand, sing when they sing, etc. I have no doubt that you would benefit from a copy of Catholicism for Dummies. It clearly explains the history, beliefs and practices of the Catholic Church. Please ask and we will answer questions to the best of our ability. Prayers ascending on your behalf.
The issues you point out are primarily the errors resultant from the _false prophetic_ interpretation embraced by Dispensationalism, not Protestantism itself. Are you aware of the origin of Dispensationalism and its intended purpose? By "origin", I am not referring to Irving/Darby/Scofield but rather the propagation of Futurist eschatology from which it evolved: It was the Jesuits during and after the Reformation; first Francisco Ribera and later Manuel de la Cunza. Its purpose: to re-conceal the identity and current presence of the antichrist which had been revealed and whom all Protestant denominations acknowledged as such in their confessions of faith.
The eucharist is central to the practice of Catholicism. The prayer the "Our Father" given to us from Jesus alludes to the eucharist. Daily bread in the Greek is epiusion which literally translates to "supersubstantial" bread.

Call your local Catholic parish and find out when they offer it. Some parishes offer 24/7 Adoration. Simply go, sit in Christ’s Presence. TAKE YOUR BIBLE! Read scripture, contemplate, pray. Tell Christ of your love of Him, and of your worries and doubts, even your fears. Then, be as patient with Christ as He has been with you. Grace will flow and when you receive the grace to know that HE IS THERE, you will be forever changed. Miracles occur in Christ’s Presence - of that I can personally attest. Worst case: You read scripture and pray for one hour. Best case: You are lead to Jesus Christ in His Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity. Win-win.
Hi sister. I just left the Catholic church 4 years ago. Great people but I realized that some doctrines cannot be substantiated with any evidence and this was troubling for me. For example, I was taught that the intercession of Saints was absolutely biblical and I used to pray to St. Jude often. Unfortunately, I realized the truth: there is no evidence that St Jude could hear me. I was taught that Hebrews 12:1 teaches that the cloud of witnesses are saints that surround us on earth and therefore know what we're going through. The truth is, the cloud of witnesses are the heroes of the faith previously mentioned in Hebrews 11 (i.e., Samson, David, Enoch, Elijah etc.). So, this text isn't evidence for the intercession of Saints......I was also taught that Revelation 5:13 is evidence that the Saints could hear billions of people from all over the world, simultaneously. The truth is, this was a one-time event that was unique to John alone. Trying to say that all the Saints could do this on the basis that John was able to one-time is like saying all the Apostles were able to walk on water on the basis that Peter was able to do this one-time. It's also said that asking Saints for intercession is exactly like asking your friend to pray for you. Yet this is not true. The truth is that our friends are people whom we hangout with and talk to daily, so we know they hear us when we speak to them. But how do you know that the Saints in heaven could hear you when you ask them something? You don't! In fact, the only way they could hear billions of people simultaneously asking them something is if they are (1) omniscient or if (2) God gave them the ability to be omniscient. Unfortunately, there no evidence that either of these two options are the case. Nowhere does scripture teach that the Saints in heaven are omniscient or that God gave them the ability to be omniscient. I could go on and on. But I took the time to try to help you see that this doctrine of intercession of Saints has no scriptural support whatsoever yet the Catholic church would have us to believe that the doctrine is biblical. This is but one example. I don't mind demonstrating how there are other doctrines that have no evidence to support to justify them..If you have any questions, just let me know, okay? God bless you 🙏
@@SilverRaysBeauty44You are still very confused. There is only one body of Christ- not one on earth and a separate one in Heaven. Jesus is the head of the Body. Revelations 8:4 is Bible verse you missed. The Saints and angels offer our prayers at the throne. You have turned your back on Christ in the Eucharist (John 6:53-56)return to the one true holy Catholic Apostolic church! Christ commands the body to pray for one another.
You raised a very good point. Protestants believe that the bible is the infallible, inerrant word of God written by mere fallible men but who were graced with infallibility so they can write God’s word free from error. If God can do that for scripture writers, he can do it for his Church and its leaders as a group and most especially the pope!
For me a strong argument is to ask "how do we know how many and what book go into the bible?". The only way to know which books belong to the bible is through reading the Church Fathers, because the bible doesn't say how many books go into. If you accept their text to prove the bible, then you have to accept how they make typology and what their teachings were. As you read them you understand they are deeply Catholics. You can't simply pick what you want from the church fathers and throw the rest. If you wanna prove your bible you have to affirm their texts.
Christian "chain of transmission" on the reliability of the bible: The claim that Christians can trust the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) were written by the apostles or their close associates is based on several lines of evidence, including historical tradition, early church writings, and scholarly research. Here's an overview of the key points supporting this claim: ### 1. **Historical Tradition and Church Fathers:** Early church fathers, such as Papias, Irenaeus, and Clement of Alexandria, provide testimonies that link the Gospels to their traditional authors. These figures were not merely ignorant; they were historians, theologians (both Jews and Gentiles), and philosophers: - **Ignatius of Antioch (c. 35-108 AD):** Early Christian writer and bishop of Antioch. In his letters, Ignatius quotes from the Gospels, indicating their early use and acceptance in the Christian community. He also emphasizes the authority of the apostles. - **Papias (c. 60-130 AD):** According to Eusebius, Papias reported that Matthew wrote his Gospel in the language of the Jews of their days and that Mark wrote down Peter's teachings accurately. - **Polycarp (c. 69-155 AD):** A disciple of John, who in turn influenced Irenaeus. - **Justin Martyr (c. 100-165 AD):** Early Christian apologist and philosopher. In his writings, Justin refers to the "Memoirs of the Apostles," which most scholars believe to be references to the Gospels. This shows their widespread use by the mid-2nd century. - **Tatian (c. 120-180 AD):** Early Christian writer and apologist. Tatian compiled the *Diatessaron*, a harmony of the four Gospels, around 160-175 AD. This work indicates that the four Gospels were well established and authoritative by this time. - **Irenaeus (c. 130-202 AD):** Irenaeus explicitly names the four Gospels and their authors, attributing Matthew and John to the apostles and Mark and Luke to close associates of the apostles (Mark to Peter and Luke to Paul). - **Clement of Alexandria (c. 150-215 AD):** Clement notes that the Gospels with genealogies (Matthew and Luke) were written first, followed by Mark and John. - **Tertullian (c. 155-240 AD):** Early Christian author from Carthage. Tertullian frequently quotes the Gospels and attributes them to Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, supporting their traditional authorship. - **Origen (c. 184-253 AD):** Early Christian scholar and theologian. Origen's extensive writings confirm the authorship of the Gospels as traditionally attributed. He also provides interpretations and commentaries on these texts. - **Eusebius of Caesarea (c. 260-340 AD):** Early church historian. In his *Ecclesiastical History*, Eusebius provides valuable information about the origins of the Gospels and quotes earlier sources, solidifying the chain of tradition. - **Athanasius of Alexandria (c. 296-373 AD):** Bishop of Alexandria and key figure in early Christianity. In his 39th Festal Letter (367 AD), Athanasius lists the 27 books of the New Testament, including the four Gospels, reflecting their accepted status. (Here’s a fun fact: The Council of Nicaea held discussions between Athanasius (defending the uncreated nature of Jesus) and Arius (defending that Jesus was created). The debate was not about whether Jesus was divine but whether Jesus was created. It was therefore Trinitarians against Unitarians. Fun fact for Muslims: Constantine persecuted the Trinitarians and was baptized by Unitarians (oops... Muslim conspiracy theory debunked).) ### 2. **Manuscript Evidence:** While we don't possess the original manuscripts of the Gospels, the existing manuscripts and their early dates of composition, plus the chain of narration mentioning them, support their reliability: - The Gospels are believed to have been written between 60 and 100 AD. - The earliest fragments of the Gospels, such as the Rylands Library Papyrus P52 (a fragment of the Gospel of John), date to around 125 AD. ### 3. **Internal Evidence:** The content and style of the Gospels reflect the backgrounds and perspectives of their attributed authors: - **Matthew:** Written for a Jewish audience, with a focus on how Jesus fulfills Old Testament prophecies. - **Mark:** Considered to reflect Peter's perspective, with a straightforward, action-oriented narrative. - **Luke:** A well-researched account, addressed to Theophilus, showing a concern for historical detail and a Gentile audience. - **John:** A theological reflection on Jesus' life, focusing on his divine nature and written by someone close to Jesus. ### 4. **Chain of Narration:** The concept of a chain of narration involves tracing the teachings from the apostles through their disciples to subsequent generations. ### 5. **Scholarly Consensus:** While there is ongoing debate and scholarship around the exact authorship and composition of the Gospels, many scholars agree that the traditional attributions are plausible based on the available evidence. ### Conclusion: The claim that Christians can trust the traditional authorship of the Gospels is supported by historical tradition, testimonies of early church fathers, manuscript evidence, internal literary analysis, and the concept of a chain of narration. However, it's important to note that this evidence is interpreted within the framework of faith, and some scholars offer alternative perspectives on the origins of the Gospels. ---------- Let's not forget the ***Didache***: #### **Overview:** The Didache is a short early Christian treatise that includes instructions on Christian ethics, rituals such as baptism and the Eucharist, and church organization (basically is like a Catequesis/Instructions manual). It is believed to be one of the earliest (if not the earliest) non-canonical writings, providing a window into early Christian practices and beliefs. #### **Relevance to the Gospels:** 1. **Early Use and Authority:** - The Didache refers to teachings attributed to Jesus and reflects the moral and ethical instructions found in the Gospels. This indicates that the core teachings of Jesus, as recorded in the Gospels, were already being disseminated and followed by early Christian communities. 2. **Liturgical Practices:** - The Didache outlines practices such as the Eucharist, which align closely with the Last Supper accounts in the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke). This consistency suggests a common source of tradition and supports the early formation and use of Gospel texts. 3. **Community Structure:** - The text describes the roles of bishops and deacons, echoing the organizational structure mentioned in the pastoral epistles and Acts. This reflects a continuity of leadership and teaching from the apostolic era, supporting the chain of narration that links the apostles to the Gospel writers. 4. **Teachings of Jesus:** - The ethical teachings in the Didache closely parallel the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) and other Gospel teachings. This indicates that the oral and written traditions captured in the Gospels were widely recognized and authoritative in early Christian instruction. - **Support from Church Fathers:** - Early church fathers, such as Eusebius and Athanasius, acknowledged the Didache as a valuable document for understanding early Christian practices, further validating its significance and the teachings it contains. ----------- References to the Gospels by opponents of early Christianity can also lend credibility to their early and widespread acceptance. The fact that critics of Christianity felt the need to address the Gospels indicates that these texts were significant and authoritative enough to be worth opposing. Here are a few examples: ### 1. **Celsus (2nd Century AD):** Celsus was a Greek philosopher and a vocal critic of Christianity. In his work *The True Word* (circa 177 AD), Celsus critiques Christian doctrines and quotes from the Gospels to argue against them. His detailed knowledge of the Gospels and his efforts to refute them suggest that they were widely known and influential by his time. The fact that Origen felt compelled to write a comprehensive rebuttal (*Contra Celsum*) further underscores the importance and acceptance of the Gospels in early Christian communities. ### 2. **Porphyry (3rd Century AD):** Porphyry was a philosopher and critic of Christianity who wrote a series of works against the Christian faith, including *Against the Christians*. He attacked the authenticity and reliability of the Gospels, particularly focusing on inconsistencies and perceived errors. Despite his criticisms, his engagement with the Gospels indicates their widespread use and significance. ### 3. **Emperor Julian the Apostate (4th Century AD):** Julian, a Roman emperor who rejected Christianity and attempted to revive paganism, wrote *Against the Galileans*, in which he criticized Christian beliefs and the Gospels. Julian's need to address the Gospels and the points he raised against them illustrate their authoritative status within the Christian community. ### 4. **Rabbinic Literature:** Jewish critiques of Christianity in rabbinic literature often reference Jesus and the Gospels, albeit sometimes in veiled or polemical terms. These critiques acknowledge the influence and spread of Gospel narratives. ### Conclusion: The engagement of critics and opponents with the Gospels indicates that these texts were recognized as authoritative and central to the Christian faith from an early period. Their attempts to refute or discredit the Gospels actually serve as indirect testimony to their significance and widespread acceptance.
Well done! The Truth will set you free. I welcome all the Protestants who have had their eyes opened to come home to the Catholic Church. It is the Truth.
What amazes me about Protestants/Baptist/Lutheran and other Christian religions is, all of them started hundreds and even thousands of years after the time of Christ. Protestants always seem to want to ignore this to justify their religions. The Catholic Church is the only church that can date its time directly back to the time of Christ through the succession of popes, cardinals bishops and priests. If the protestant religions are the true religion of Christ, then for all of those hundreds and even thousands of years before they were established, who was leading Christians? Also, there are over 40,000 different Christian denominations in the world. How can 40,000 different denominations all be the word of God when none of them can agree with the other? They may agree on some ideas about Christianity, but some of the most important Christian teachings they do not. But they all claim to be speaking the word of God. Ridiculous. Satan hit a grand slam home run through Martin Luther and did incredible damage to the Catholic Church and Christianity. In Protestant religions, if you don’t like your church, you can go and start your own. Ridiculous! And clearly with over 40,000 different protestant religions, that is exactly what has happened 40,000+ times. Talk about watering down Christianity. One cannot go out and start their own Catholic Church. Martin Luther tried it, but he called it Protestantism. Most Protestants don’t realize why they are called protestants, it was because Martin Luther was “protesting “the Catholic Church. Protestantism can only date its time back to Martin Luther. What happened to the previous 500 years?
There were many before Luther, but they were persecuted and killed by the militant roman catholics. Anabaptists had a confession of faith before Luther and they were killed by both the protestants and roman catholics.

You’re right, people are seeing and hearing about Catholicism in its own words for the first time due to the internet. I was and still am a Reformed Presbyterian but will be coming into the church this Easter. It’s the chaos of Protestantism that woke me up, having gone through a church split and the pain it caused my family caused me to realize that this isn’t normal, this isn’t how it should be. We’re in late stage Protestantism; it’s a house or houses really built on the sand. Another thing that stood out to me as a Protestant was how we could never unite around anything, as soon as you said, “Lets do X” a bunch of people would materialize to throw rocks at you and tell you that you’re wrong and denying the gospel. Sola scriptura is a recipe for chaos.

POPE BENEDICT XVI: “Members of the Church should not feel jealousy, but should rejoice if someone from outside the community does good in the name of Christ...” The pope quoted St. Augustine, 4-5th century saint: ‘Just as one can find that which is not Catholic in the Catholic Church, one can also find something that may be Catholic outside of the Catholic Church.’ This, the Pope said, is what Jesus wishes to explain to his disciples, that “good and even miraculous things” can happen outside their circle when others “cooperate with the Kingdom of God” even in small gestures such as “offering a simple glass of water to a missionary. The tendency toward jealousy can exist within the Church when Catholics resent holiness and goodness being attained by non-Catholics. Instead we should all be able to always appreciate and respect each other, praising the Lord when he acts in the Church and in the world.”
The Lord Jesus in John 17 prayed for unity, what did Luther did? “division” Lord Jesus longs for unity one church one body. Division is satan’s tool to destroy the true church but Jesus said even tha gates of hell will not prevail.
I know you’ve touched on the hypocrisy of Protestant practices, but would you consider doing a specific video on the many ways their practices often contradict their proclaimed beliefs - In a Loving, Charitable way, of course, as much as is possible? For example, 1.) the renunciation of “Graven Images”, yet often found wearing a cross necklace, nativity scenes, pictures in children’s bibles. 2.) “Call no man Father” (or Teacher) 3.) Intercession, yet asking friends, etc., to pray for them. 4.) Idolatry, yet making their denomination or even written Word an Idol; or idolatry of worldly things. 5.) Claiming Bible-Alone is the sole rule of faith for Christians, yet listening to parents, pastors, radio preachers, and bible-study groups about understanding what Scripture teaches. 6.) “Believing what bible ‘plainly’ teaches”, yet denying Eucharist, allowing Divorce.. Etc…? Love your channel❣️❣️❣️
Re 2) I noticed many pastors on RUclips let their followers and members of their churches call them "father" or even "papa", while sometimes being VERY prejudiced against Catholicism. Notably, Mike Signorelli, he is very vocal about this. Not only is he the "father" of his church and refers to himself as "papa" but his wife is the "mother". And no wonder, he has Catholic roots that he completely rejected.
1) Wearing a cross is not a grave image, especially given the fact that Protestants don't bow down to the necklace, kiss the necklace, or act like the necklace is unique. 3) Asking a friend to pray for us is not analogous to intercession of Saints because we talk and hangout with our friends, therefore we know for certain that our friends hear us. However, there is no evidence whatsoever that the Saints in heaven hear your prayers. In order for them to do so, they would need to be omniscient or God would have to give them the ability to be omniscient - yet there is no evidence of either of these. 5) Sola Scriptura is not that the Bible is the only thing that we must obey, rather, it is the teaching that the Bible is the only infallible authority. We believe that other things can be authoritative, but the Bible alone is the only one that is infallible. My gosh!!! You need to stop learning Protestantism from whoever taught because they clearly don't understand what Protestants actually believe and cannot accurately represent the most basic of Protestant beliefs....For now on, if you have a question about Protestantism - you ask Me, okay??
“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to read the Bible so they can join the denomination that best agrees with their own understanding.”
Jesus Himself will make sure that we will be united again, just as he prayed in John 17. I don't know how He will do it, but the Holy Spirit is already at work. Those who sincerely go after the truth and love will be one. The rest.. well the scriptures say clearly what happens with those who don't do the will of the Father. We should all have the fear of God.

Third comment - apologies! But I’ve always wanted to learn the origins of some of the novel doctrines popping up but have no idea how to research them. Can you figure out when certain teachings began, and who introduced them? For example, we know a Pastor Darby is credited with the introduction of Pre-Trib Rapture theory around 150 yrs ago. What about the teaching that 1.) baptism is symbolic? 2.) Saturday is still the day to honor God & go to church 3.) Jesus IS the Father (oneness) And other false doctrines that are becoming popular among Evangelicals in particular…? Thanks❣️
Baptism is symbolic = Ulrich Zwingli 16th century, Saturday still day to honor God = Ellen G. White 19th century, Oneness Pentecostals = Frank Ewart 20th century.
@@bluecollarcatholic8173Regarding #2 Saturday is still the day to honor God & Go to church- Ellen G. White got that from the Seventh-Day Baptist. There is also Church of God Seventh Day and Hebrew Roots fellowships.
Wonder how long the Mega Church model will be around. An increasing number of Protestants are desirous of a more historical Church with a more solemn liturgical worship.
If your local evangelical minister pretended to have authority to bind your conscience, he'd be laughed at to his face. If your local eastern Larpodox jurisdiction pretended to have that authority, people would just switch jurisdictions to one whose teaching was more to their liking. There is one and only one church that is actually one church and that has the authority to bind consciences. One doesn't need to choose among the many hundreds of versions of Christianity. There is only one that fits the bill.
Once again, I was speaking about the Roman Catholic Church's - Roman Rite, not the Eastern rites. Asking how can there be 2 Roman Rites. Thank you for your input.
@@G-MIP Sorry, but you don't seem to understand what I'm trying to say. I'm talking about the Novus Ordo and the Latin Mass. The Novus Ordo replaced the Latin Mass after Vatican II. You may not be old enough to remember that. I don't know what several Latin Rites you are talking about for the Western/Latin Rite. Of course there are different orders like Franciscans, Dominicans, etc. But they all went Novus Ordo after Vatican II, like most of the Roman Catholic orders did. The Latin Mass has been making a comeback and of course the SSPX never left it. As you probably know. BUT the Latin Mass WAS the Roman Catholic Mass prior to Vatican II. The Novus Ordo Mass did not exist until after Vatican II.
The Apocalypse is a prophetic account of the Catholic Church until the Section Coming of Christ. We are apparently in the end of the fifth age of seven ages, chapter nine, fifth Trumpet. The whole world will soon be Catholic.
I resect Roman Catholic brethren who are being obedient to their conscience. Likewise, Catholics should do the same. I get the talking points on all sides including the Orthodox. Sadly, 1054 broke everything to pieces. If Rome really wants to set the example for Protestants, fix things with Orthodoxy, but the Vatican will never compromise...
22 Orthodox churches have returned to Rome and are now part of the 23 Eastern Catholic rites. Only 15 more to go with one expected to retain 2025-why wait!
@@G-MIP I’m sure they’re under the Patriarch Bartholomew, I am under Patriarch Kyrill. The reason I went Russian Patriarchate is so I won’t run the risk of being under a schismatic.
I’d say it’s more like millions of denominations because of the sola-your-own-understanding practice. I also think the liberality is stemming from pastors being afraid of running their new church attendees away.
I am a Christian I attened a Non-denominational church. We consider ourselves Protestant and following a mix of evangelical and pentacostal views. I have been touched by the Holy Spirit had an OBE where I heard Gabriel's and the return of Christ, Ive had an open eyed vision of Jesus crowned in eternal glory face shined like the sun, eyes of fire just like revelation. We believe in the Nicaean Trinity, Nicaean creed, communion, baptism(though infant baptism isnt required), descipleship, charity, evangilising, gifts of the spirit, church authority and leadership, fasting, praying of course. I always believed and still believe im saved and being saved in Christ's grace. I always believed that RCC✝️/EOC☦️/OOC☦️ are all part of the body and true Churches and never understood why they excommunicate other believers over dogma and traditional disagrements as Protestants may not always agree but we believe acording to the word we are all saved in Christ in the end uniting us not dividing us.(mostly, their is always outliers) It feels like RCC & Orthos treat other Christians like they are other religions instead of Christians. Anyway I know im a believer and Christ is truth, Am I a heretic? damned to eternal hell & torment because I am not Orthodox(or Catholic for RCC bros) as you guys think your both right, I think we are all right in the person of Christ alone where it actually matters but I digress. However I dont want to be a heretic, I want the true Jesus, and I have mostly no issues with Orthodox or Catholic beliefs besides a small few that Id consider simply unimportant but yall consider very serious like Icons or Papal infalibility, or immaculate conception or to a less extent no use of insterments in worship etc. So Id be Orthodox or RCC if Christ revealed it to be truly the only way but I still dont unferstand how that is and I have SO many questions! Right now id be converting to Ortho or RCC out of fear for my eternal soul not because I believe its the only true way to interprate Christianity, and thats not a good reason because Christ desires my heart. Also either one (hopefully choose right) id still be damned by the other! Damn if I do(Be EOC), Damn if I do(Be RCC) Damn if I dont(Stay Evang.-Protestant) from a mix of mine and your perspectives, that is. On top of that EOC teaches we can never know for certain we are even assured salvation?! Why would martyrs die and be tortured for an uncertainty, I thought they died for the concrete revelation of the truth not a mystic idea? I thought we all believed the same thing, I guess I was nieve, Christianity is confusing me now why would the truth be so divided, what sets us apart from other world views like divided Islam or Buddhism, Jesus Is All I Have now I dont even know if I truly have him... because according to many of my fellow Christians I never did and was actually false, and may never know. Please help, this is all messing me up and these conflicting paradimes make Christianity look bad and toxic and I know from his word how sound it is. Why all the crazyness. How has Gods Holy Spirit guided the church to be so shattered? It wouldnt God is good and true not of confusion. So why the confusion.
The Catholic Church teaches you are a Christian if you have a valid Trinitarian baptism- which it sounds like you do. However, you do not have the fullness of the faith and this is why you should be Catholic. The Catholic Church gave you your Bible (Council of Rome in 382 under Pope Damasus). Though you now have a Bible missing 7 books. You are also missing out on the true Body of Christ (John 6: 53-56) as well as the Sacrament of Confession (John 2023). It’s time for you to come all the way home. Peace.
The one body of Christ, the one and only one Church is built on Cephas, John 1:42. You want certitude of where that one body of Christ the one Church is, go where Cephas is.
As far as the RCC/EOC/OOC thing goes the RCC at least recognizes them as being founded by Apostles and as the 2nd lung of The Church. RCC always welcomes them to receive communion from us, but we as Catholics are not always permitted even after converting to an EOC or OOC Church to receive communion from them. They also might not be able to receive communion in an RCC Church because of an EOC or OOC prohibition. We get to have Jesus physically dwell in us, you can't get more personal then that. Check before going EOC or OOC if they will even after you become one of them if they would permit communion for you as I stated above about communion and relationship between all of us. RCC your guaranteed to be able to receive communion. The Church (RCC) teaches us we are saved and born again in Baptism. In Baptism we are marked by The Holy Spirit with The Seal of Life and adopted by God. Original Sin and all sins are forgiven. The only thing left for us to deal with are the consequences of The Fall of Man (Original Sin) illness, death, temptation, propensity to sin. The consequences of Original sin left for us to deal with it can't hurt us unless we give in. If we do give in Christ who was given authority to forgive sins gave that authority to the Apostles who passed it on to others who continue to pass it on. The Fathers of the Church present this sacrament as "the second plank [of salvation] after the shipwreck which is the loss of grace." I have been to Mass that had guitars and drums and others just piano and violins, others just piano or organ, some just guitar, and some just chant/ A cappella. It's not fear we have but hope as fear is from the devil. We run our race until we cross the finish line, we fight the good fight until the end. That is why we say we were saved (baptism) we are being saved(Sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist, The Mass, prayers, fasting, conversion, spiritual warfare, etc.) and we hope to be saved (Enter into the glory of Heaven). We look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. We look forward because we are pilgrims on a journey so yes we stumble and fall but we pick ourselves up again with the help of The Church and Christ through Sacrament of Reconciliation. The devil instills the fear and worry you are talking about. The devil goes either the you are saved so don't worry route or the you can't be forgiven/worry and dread over every little thing (scrupulosity). It's good you recognize Jesus calling now don't let the devil cloud you or wind you up in a tizzy or toss you into scrupulosity. RCC recognizes different kinds of baptism such as martyrs (baptism by blood). RCC also recognizes different kinds of martyrdom such as loss of life (Red) or other loss such as imprisonment, financial penalties for belief, etc. (White). Icons and relics have been asked and answered in the 7th century and again in the 15th century for OOC (Ethiopia) and then again at Trent. Veneration is not worship (which is rightfully belongs to God and God alone). God can and does sanctify things for His own Glory and to help and aid us. As for Saints. Well we believe we are a family that prays with and for each other and death doesn't stop our ability to pray with and for each other. None of those other religions you mention believe what we believe: God offered His only begotten Son to become one of us (true God and True Man) and be the sacrifice for our salvation so that we may not perish. Hope that helps answer some of your questions.
Catholic here. The Catholic Church officially confesses that protestants are Brothers in Christ BUT they Are SEPARATED from the Church. I would translate this as "they follow a different Religion": they Are TRULY Christians but their Religion is different. What would I say to you? "KEEP what you have" and seek the Face of the Lord.
I have similar views as you. I was former catholic an have been non denominational pentecostal low church. A year ago been learning about the ancient churches, history and devouring everyhting i learn. The lord has been very gracious to me . Learn church history. Pray where the holy spirit is leading you and seek godly counsel and wisdom . Watch debates . Protestant vs catholics , read scholarly books and church fathers . Take your time . This is your journey . As I'm also on one similar to you . May our lord Jesus and his saints and angels guide you dude .
We are saved by Grace . Ephesians 2:8-10 . Then we called to pick up our cross and follow Jesus. Paul was talking about our initial conversion . James is talking to Christians who have already been converted. James 2:24 . The misunderstanding is some Christians think salvation is a one time event. Once Saved always saved . But the Bible teaches it's a Race . Paul tells us he ran the race and fought the fight . Jesus tells us about judgment day . He didn't ask the Sheep and Goats what they believed. He told them they were being judged but what they did .
We have no idea if the thief was baptized or not. He could have been among the first, and then fell away. Baptism doesn't take away free will. He was also told by Jesus, "Today you will be with me in paradise." But "paradise" can't be heaven because Jesus didn't go to heaven that day. He descended to the abode of the dead, rose on the third day, and then stayed on earth for another 40 days before ascending to heaven. What we also don't know is how long the thief may have had to spend getting cleaned up, getting rid of any attachment to sins, before he was allowed into heaven, because as we are told, "Nothing unclean shall enter heaven." He was just promised he wasn't headed for hell because he was repentant.
@@julieelizabeth4856Baptism was not established until after the resurrection of Christ. The only possible baptism St. Dismas could’ve had was the John the Baptist baptism without the Holy Spirit. St. Dismas went to the limbo of the fathers where Moses, Elijah etc were (this was a paradise like the Garden of Eden but not Heaven) and then St. Dismas was released into heaven after Jesus opened the gates post resurrection and ascension.

Easy there, Rob. Show some grace and back off on talking about anyone’s suicide. You don’t know what the last thought was that went through their head. It’s a terrible thing. He’s back now and shared his story. It’s a beautiful thing. 🙏🏻❤️🩹
Genuine question regarding the opening analogy. Can we honestly say every Catholic Church individually is a brand new Cadillac? Especially the churches where abuse is taking place and bad practices have crept in. While at the same time there might be a Protestant church on fire for God holding fast to the truth found in the scriptures and yet you would call that a beat up broken car? For example multiple South American friends of mine in different countries have all noted syncretic practices in the local Catholic Churches of their area. Would it be better for a person to unknowingly fall into syncretism in their a local Catholic Church or attend a Bible believing Protestant church? If we could get past labels and realize there are people filled with the Holy Spirit genuinely seeking to know the Lord well on both sides we could have much better conversations. But we live in a culture that would rather have click bait titles like “bad news for Protestants” that genuinely don’t help anyone but boost the pride of people on your own side
Please be more truthful. The ABUSE has stopped. Will you NEVER forgive - even though you were not a victim? What bad practices? Adoring Christ? Receiving Him ON HIS TERMS? What is "bad"?
@ I’m sorry but saying be more truth and denying the fact that two months ago LA Times reported a $1.5 billion settlement because of abuses in the Catholic Church seems contradictory. Do bad things also happen in Protestant churches? Yes and we should call them out as well. Bad practices - I already mentioned syncretism which people will tell you in various parts of the world is still taking place. Catholics disagree with one another on the topic of LGBTQ in the church with some parishes openly holding things in support of it. Some Catholics believe you are saved by good works. Scripture says you are saved by grace through faith and this is not of your own doing. Not by works so that no man can boast. I’ve heard Catholics reject penal substitution in which believes that ““Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one-to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:4-6. I’ve heard a Catholic priest reject this because it makes God sound angry all the while saying that we need Mary to convince God on our behalf because he is too angry to listen to us directly. Let’s actually be honest, there are still many reasons why the reformation continued beyond the council of Trent
Is the New Testament enough to let a person know what they must do to go to Heaven, if not why not? I cannot believe that a Loving God would leave something out of HIS Holy Word that means so much for some one to get to Heaven!
He left The Church to help interpret the scriptures and answer our questions, and questions DID arise like: Does the sacrifice of Jesus suffice for those that betrayed the faith to the pagan Romans and now repent? Do they need to be re-baptized? Is this person we have as our Bishop still our Bishop after the allegations of his betrayal to the pagan Romans, and are the priests he ordained priests still priests? Did Jesus have a physical body? Is He God or Man? Did He become God? What is the relationship between His Human and Divine natures? What Jesus' relationship with and to God the Father? Is Jesus just the form God the Father took like the burning bush was for Moses? Did the Holy Spirit always exist or did He only exist after Jesus rose from the grave? Is the Holy Spirit just the spirit/soul of Jesus? Are there 2 Gods OT God (God the Father) and NT God (Jesus Christ)? What does Triune God (Trinity) even mean? Is intercessory prayer to the faithful fallen (Saints) idolatry? What about veneration of icons and relics? Did Mary have other children after Jesus? Is Mother of God an appropriate title for Mary? Is the material world evil? People on all sides quoted scripture and more for their proof, so which ones got it right and which ones got it wrong? That is why The Church exists. We don't add anything it's just The Church formally declares what was always believed and determined to be true.
Maybe because he wants YOU, RobertWCornell to humble yourself and listen to the GOD-BREATHED Apostles. Maybe because He wants YOU, RobertWCornell to notice that the bible tells you it is incomplete. Maybe because He wants you RobertWCornell (Google that name!) to notice that the bible and Jesus Himself point you, RobertWCornell, to the Church. @@kisstune the christian religion is pretty fascinating how people come up with different opinions of what stuff means!, just like the apostles when paul confronted peter and when they had a big meeting that was led by James the brother of Jesus and not led by Peter who was supposed to be the big leader .
@@bluecollarcatholic8173 Do you know what Scribes did? They copied the Apostles writings and sent them to different Church's to be read by the different Church s , also they had many Synagogues that used the Old testament what did each one use copies written by scribes so each synagogue, so they all had a copy of the Tanach to read from! also Jesus being Jewish also read from the Old Testament, and He only read from the books of Moses and the Psalms and the Prophets, so I guess they didn't use printing machine to use back then because they had scribes!
As a Protestant, you only need the Apostle doctrine. Jesus taught this doctrine to his Apostles. Then, the Apostles pass the doctrine to other believers. Before the church was established, you had the OT, and then before Christ death, Christ taught the Apostle doctrine. Then Peter(Catholic first pope) used the Apostle doctrine, and about 3,000 souls were saved that day. The Apostle doctrine is for salvation and obedience to Christ. If Protestant or Catholic adds to Jesus Christ, Doctrine, that he taught his Apostles for salvation, then they are in error. Yes, the NT wasn't written in a book yet, but Jesus Christ Apostle doctrine was preached to the people. The Apostle doctrine has been around before Protestant or Catholic doctrine was created. Thanks
"Before the Church was established, you had the OT" There were multiple Jewish groups and most of them used some or all of the Duterocanon. When Jesus forms the Church on Cephas and instituted on Pentecost, the early Church universally used the Septuagint, and every single Trinitarian Church accepted the 7 Duterocanon books, until the Revolutionaries removed them from the OT. Why are you using a 66 book Bible instead of a 73 book Bible?
@alisterrebelo9013 First, I never said anything about how many books of the bible there is. I am saying Christ established the Apostle doctrine for salvation and obedience to Christ. Yes, there are other books that Protestant took out of the bible. My bible has the Apocrypha also. Nobody or no doctrine outside of Jesus Christ doctrine can someone be born again.

I prefer the Mass that is closest to the masses of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd centuries. The Novus Ordo Mass. The Missal of 1962 that you're referring to is awesome as well!
The Catholic Church was never just one Mass, except the first early Masses in Aramaic still done today in the Chaldean Catholic rite. After all there’s currently 23 Eastern Catholic Rites which predate the Latin Mass. The Novus Ordo more closely resembles the Mass of the first century. It’s the same Jesus made present on the altar at all of them.
@@G-MIP I was referring to Roman Catholic - how can there be two rites for the Roman Catholic Mass? I know there are other rites under the umbrella of the Catholic Church. @@sososo2445 Michael Lofton at Reason and Theology has a couple of videos were he goes into the history/development of the mass. There has never been just one continuing mass.
What I don't understand is how early church fathers are catholics and not Jews, you know the people the book is about. Also, it's not correct to take the worst of examples in protestantism and compare to doctrine of catholicism. We could drudge up some truly terrible examples of catholicism if you want.
The first Christians were Jews . God ended Judaism ( with the destruction of the temple) and replaced it with Christianity. So some Jews accepted Jesus as the Messiah and became Christians. Others rejected him and stayed Religious Jews .

Catholics have THE most deep, meaningful, and intimate relationship with Jesus. Please tell me, what is more deep, meaningful and intimate than consuming the body, blood, soul and divinity of our Lord God and Saviour Jesus Christ every single day on this side of heaven?
Here's what I've come to after decades of being confused as to why god would permit thee protestant reformation. I believe now that God permitted the Reformation in order to inoculate Protestant denominations against some of the scandals within the church. They didn't go through the turbulence of the Second Vatican Council. They kept alive a deep, powerful love for the scripture central to their lives. They have studied it to the Nth degree, and are passionate about it. Several cradle Catholics have been so badly catechized that they have lost the deep love for the faith. As the protestants realize that the Truth lies within the Church, they come to us and they bring their fiery love and deep passion and they are renewing many cradle Catholics' faith, and increasing their appreciation for the treasure they possess. God in His infinite wisdom can bring strength and beauty out of the things we break.
@ohmightywez Some of Protestantism has very exemplary Christians like late Pastor D. James Kennedy, and ex-Pastor and most excellent converts Scott Hahn and his wife. Sadly, most denominations are ever more liquefied, diluted and bizarre versions of the True Catholic Church. When did Jesus say Peter was s Catholic? First organized religion doesn't mean thats where the church started. Paul wrote to all the churches of different areas. The " Bible " is Catholic. The only difference is Luther removed 7 books from the Bible and Protestants prefer to use it. The Catholics still believe the entire Bible . The Church that Jesus started ( Matthew 16:18-19 ) has called herself Catholic since the 1st century.

“IF” you have not already, please consider going to Adoration of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, also known as “Holy Hour.” Time spent in our Lord’s Presence is priceless.
LOVE your testimony!!! God ALWAYS has us in His Loving hands. I LOVE my Catholic faith and I ALWAYS pray for my Protestant brothers and sisters
You raised a very good point. Protestants believe that the bible is the infallible, inerrant word of God written by mere fallible men but who were graced with infallibility so they can write God’s word free from error. If God can do that for scripture writers, he can do it for his Church and its leaders as a group and most especially the pope!
Inspired eyewitness accounts and commentaries are not the same.
Christian "chain of transmission" on the reliability of the bible:
The claim that Christians can trust the four Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John) were written by the apostles or their close associates is based on several lines of evidence, including historical tradition, early church writings, and scholarly research. Here's an overview of the key points supporting this claim:
### 1. **Historical Tradition and Church Fathers:**
Early church fathers, such as Papias, Irenaeus, and Clement of Alexandria, provide testimonies that link the Gospels to their traditional authors. These figures were not merely ignorant; they were historians, theologians (both Jews and Gentiles), and philosophers:
- **Ignatius of Antioch (c.
Muslim conspiracy theory debunked).)
### 2. **Manuscript Evidence:**
While we don't possess the original manuscripts of the Gospels, the existing manuscripts and their early dates of composition, plus the chain of narration mentioning them, support their reliability:
- The Gospels are believed to have been written between 60 and 100 AD.
- The earliest fragments of the Gospels, such as the Rylands Library Papyrus P52 (a fragment of the Gospel of John), date to around 125 AD.
### 3. **Internal Evidence:**
The content and style of the Gospels reflect the backgrounds and perspectives of their attributed authors:
- **Matthew:** Written for a Jewish audience, with a focus on how Jesus fulfills Old Testament prophecies.
### 4. **Chain of Narration:**
The concept of a chain of narration involves tracing the teachings from the apostles through their disciples to subsequent generations.
### 5. **Scholarly Consensus:**
While there is ongoing debate and scholarship around the exact authorship and composition of the Gospels, many scholars agree that the traditional attributions are plausible based on the available evidence.
### Conclusion:
The claim that Christians can trust the traditional authorship of the Gospels is supported by historical tradition, testimonies of early church fathers, manuscript evidence, internal literary analysis, and the concept of a chain of narration. However, it's important to note that this evidence is interpreted within the framework of faith, and some scholars offer alternative perspectives on the origins of the Gospels.
----------
Let's not forget the ***Didache***:
#### **Overview:**
The Didache is a short early Christian treatise that includes instructions on Christian ethics, rituals such as baptism and the Eucharist, and church organization (basically is like a Catequesis/Instructions manual). It is believed to be one of the earliest (if not the earliest) non-canonical writings, providing a window into early Christian practices and beliefs.
#### **Relevance to the Gospels:**
1. **Early Use and Authority:**
- The Didache refers to teachings attributed to Jesus and reflects the moral and ethical instructions found in the Gospels. This indicates that the core teachings of Jesus, as recorded in the Gospels, were already being disseminated and followed by early Christian communities.
2. **Liturgical Practices:**
- The Didache outlines practices such as the Eucharist, which align closely with the Last Supper accounts in the Synoptic Gospels (Matthew, Mark, and Luke). This consistency suggests a common source of tradition and supports the early formation and use of Gospel texts.
3. **Community Structure:**
- The text describes the roles of bishops and deacons, echoing the organizational structure mentioned in the pastoral epistles and Acts. This reflects a continuity of leadership and teaching from the apostolic era, supporting the chain of narration that links the apostles to the Gospel writers.
4. **Teachings of Jesus:**
- The ethical teachings in the Didache closely parallel the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5-7) and other Gospel teachings. This indicates that the oral and written traditions captured in the Gospels were widely recognized and authoritative in early Christian instruction.
- **Support from Church Fathers:**
- Early church fathers, such as Eusebius and Athanasius, acknowledged the Didache as a valuable document for understanding early Christian practices, further validating its significance and the teachings it contains.
-----------
References to the Gospels by opponents of early Christianity can also lend credibility to their early and widespread acceptance. The fact that critics of Christianity felt the need to address the Gospels indicates that these texts were significant and authoritative enough to be worth opposing. Here are a few examples:
### 1. **Celsus (2nd Century AD):**
Celsus was a Greek philosopher and a vocal critic of Christianity.
### 2. **Porphyry (3rd Century AD):**
Porphyry was a philosopher and critic of Christianity who wrote a series of works against the Christian faith, including *Against the Christians*. He attacked the authenticity and reliability of the Gospels, particularly focusing on inconsistencies and perceived errors. Despite his criticisms, his engagement with the Gospels indicates their widespread use and significance.
### 3. **Emperor Julian the Apostate (4th Century AD):**
Julian, a Roman emperor who rejected Christianity and attempted to revive paganism, wrote *Against the Galileans*, in which he criticized Christian beliefs and the Gospels. Julian's need to address the Gospels and the points he raised against them illustrate their authoritative status within the Christian community.
### 4. **Rabbinic Literature:**
Jewish critiques of Christianity in rabbinic literature often reference Jesus and the Gospels, albeit sometimes in veiled or polemical terms. These critiques acknowledge the influence and spread of Gospel narratives.
### Conclusion:
The engagement of critics and opponents with the Gospels indicates that these texts were recognized as authoritative and central to the Christian faith from an early period.

Protestantism also gave rise to a whole different branch called restorationism. JW, 7th Day, Mormonism, and the likes.
The orthodox church raises it's head like huh?
@@roshunepp Their just the petulant child throwing a tantrum AKA schism.🤣

POPE BENEDICT XVI: “Members of the Church should not feel jealousy, but should rejoice if someone from outside the community does good in the name of Christ...”
The pope quoted St. Augustine, 4-5th century saint: ‘Just as one can find that which is not Catholic in the Catholic Church, one can also find something that may be Catholic outside of the Catholic Church.’
This, the Pope said, is what Jesus wishes to explain to his disciples, that “good and even miraculous things” can happen outside their circle when others “cooperate with the Kingdom of God” even in small gestures such as “offering a simple glass of water to a missionary.
The tendency toward jealousy can exist within the Church when Catholics resent holiness and goodness being attained by non-Catholics. Instead we should all be able to always appreciate and respect each other, praising the Lord when he acts in the Church and in the world.”
The important fact is not so much the “Catholic” title of the early Church. It’s the fact that the early Church taught Catholic Doctrine.

2.) “Call no man Father” (or Teacher)
3.) Intercession, yet asking friends, etc., to pray for them.
Etc…?

Re 2) I noticed many pastors on RUclips let their followers and members of their churches call them "father" or even "papa", while sometimes being VERY prejudiced against Catholicism. The examples you list shows how silly their arguments are , and how shallow their understanding of scripture really is.
You literally misrepresented everything Protestants believe...Wow!! Talk about complete ignorance 🥴

The Novus Ordo Mass did not exist until after Vatican II.

You can't compromise with error.

I left the ELCA and Protestant theology this year and began gazing east. Orthodoxy is true my friend.
You're getting closer to the truth.
22 Orthodox churches have returned to Rome and are now part of the 23 Eastern Catholic rites. Only 15 more to go with one expected to retain 2025-why wait!
Oh, please don’t tell me you are going to Orthodox over true Catholic to have a 3 divorce rule?! Read Michael Lofton’s book on Orthodoxy.
Why take a detour when you can get straight to the starting point? All roads lead to Rome.

The Fathers of the Church present this sacrament as "the second plank [of salvation] after the shipwreck which is the loss of grace."
I have been to Mass that had guitars and drums and others just piano and violins, others just piano or organ, some just guitar, and some just chant/ A cappella.

Love the shirt and the hat... stay Catholic my friend.
What about the sinner on the cross? He very likely was not bapitized nor had the Eucharist. How can you say these things are necessary for salvation?

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned-every one-to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
Isaiah 53:4-6. I’ve heard a Catholic priest reject this because it makes God sound angry all the while saying that we need Mary to convince God on our behalf because he is too angry to listen to us directly.
Let’s actually be honest, there are still many reasons why the reformation continued beyond the council of Trent
Don’t assume we’re making it to the same place…..
I think I said we're going to the same place. I'm not assuming either of us makes it.
Were you a Calvinist when you were a Protestant?

Is the New Testament enough to let a person know what they must do to go to Heaven, if not why not? I cannot believe that a Loving God would leave something out of HIS Holy Word that means so much for some one to get to Heaven!
He left The Church to help interpret the scriptures and answer our questions, and questions DID arise like:
Does the sacrifice of Jesus suffice for those that betrayed the faith to the pagan Romans and now repent?
Thanks

There were multiple Jewish groups and most of them used some or all of the Duterocanon. When Jesus forms the Church on Cephas and instituted on Pentecost, the early Church universally used the Septuagint, and every single Trinitarian Church accepted the 7 Duterocanon books, until the Revolutionaries removed them from the OT.

@alisterrebelo9013 First, I never said anything about how many books of the bible there is. I am saying Christ established the Apostle doctrine for salvation and obedience to Christ. Yes, there are other books that Protestant took out of the bible. My bible has the Apocrypha also.

The Roman Catholic Church needs to get back to one Mass, the Latin Mass.
Catholics need to restore OBEDIENCE.

Where’s the words *relationship with Jesus for salvation* in the Bible?
AYKM? Is it your intent to demonstrate to the world that you are ignorant and bigoted?
Protestantism's fast food theology mentality opened the door to many evils but the better ones can be pre-Catholic groups.
“Turbulence of Second Vatican Council?” - pleeeesz!
God permitted the Reformation in the same manner He permitted Adam & Eve to eat from the forbidden tree.
It doesn't matter what scriptures you quote it only matters whst your magsterium tells you. You will not find mainstream catholic teachings in scripture unless you readinto the text what Rome told you,?
Yet you and all of Protestantism does the same thing. All of you read into scripture what your parents and pastor told you to interpret it.
This is what Martin Luther read into it when he invented a completely new religion in the 16th century: “If men only believe enough in Christ they can commit adultery and murder a thousand times a day without periling their salvation.”

Protestantism has the same issues and worse so by your logic their not real Church either. Catholic Church dealt with these issues in the 3rd or 4th century ruling The Church is still The Church no matter how people act or do since it is The Church founded by Jesus Christ.

When did Jesus say Peter was s Catholic? First organized religion doesn't mean thats where the church started. Paul wrote to all the churches of different areas. Corinth, Ephesis, Galatia etc. Never does it say Catholic. Maybe the Catholic bible says that but doesn't make it true. You cant site catholic references and say "see, its true". There are plenty of open parking spaces at Catholic churches. Stop bashing, yes bashing, the protestants. You only make yourself look silly. Rob is very knowledgeable. If you want to listen to other good Catholic scholars, Dr. Brant Pitre, Dr. John Bergsma, Dr. Scott Hahn are all good. I’m a Jewish convert to the Catholic Faith. It’s the Church that Jesus founded. The Truth.
”Wherever the bishop shall appear, there, let the multitude of the people also be; even as wherever Jesus Christ is, there is the *Catholic Church.* “ (Letter to the Smyrnaeans, Chapter 8) -St. Ignatius of Antioch, 107 AD
@@G-MIP yes this is almost 1000 years before Rome changed its belie and left the true church
