I hit 80 and 100 mining yesterday. I think this is the first expansion were a mining node can kill you -- I got knocked off a ledge to my death from an EZ-Mine in Hallowfall :-)

@@R4z3rbl4d3 Welcome to the game, if you mean profession tools. Such as a pickaxe they don't provide any stats and are not required to mine so skip that step and just mine away!
This is probably a very dumb question that is likely explained with "blizzard forgot to change the tooltip or forgot about it" but why does the Camouflaged Nodes mention that engineers can see them or make something to see them, when it appears only alchemist can make something to see them with. Engineer and Alchemist is named by name in their information on the ores after mining one. Or maybe I am just not able to find the thing that allows engineers to do it for whatever reason(maybe missed it when looking over everything for it).
@@MrRoguery Yeah just seems really odd to me as the Mining Journal entry for Camourflaged stuff mentions engineering by name alongside alchemist but I see no way for engineers to detect em atm.
@@jonathanhawken I tested the blue ones but didn't do anything, it also seemed to imply that engineers could offer stuff for others to be able to see em like alchemist can.
I assume that Engineering and Jewelcrafting will benefit from the ores too, but crafted plate and weapons will always be needed to fill in unlucky slots during gearing
Do you know how much knowledge you get per week after everything is all said and done? I counted 11 in total so far. 3 from the mining trainer weekly daily, 5 from the slabs you get from mining and then another 3 from the polished slab you get after the 5 slabs. I just find it hard to believe and kinda lame you only get 11 points per week... Unless I'm missing something
I have been thinking about this. Are you talking about all the different types of nodes or the skill trees? As to the different types I think it's to add some variety, but also to mess with bots. The weeping and explosive ones can hurt and possibly kill you.

100% I've died to them a few times
I leveled to 80 and every mob was a push but if you get hit by that dynamite node it would chunk half my health LOL
Me too - accidentally stood in 3 overlapping dynamite circles when I was still level 70 and it one-shot me!
Keep a few goblin glider kits on deck for situations like this

Can you refine ores? I have unlearned things in my log, but I only seem to get the shit quality of ores when I mine them.
You can its in the Plethora of Ore Specilization and the specialize further into each ore Sub Spec!
do you recommend getting the highest quality mining accessories?

What are the pick axes i heard about? Do we need to get them in order to mine? Do we keep it in our bags or we need to equip it instead of our weapon?

The refinement recipes are from the Plethora of Ore Specialization and then in each of the Sub-specilization for each of the ores!

Is there much money to be made from just mining without another profession to craft the ore with?
I believe so. Especially once the early access ends and we have a lot more people looking to craft. Null stones for example are 4600g each on EU.
