Pullman Arcadia Phuket Review: Ocean Room

In this review, we are at Pullman Arcadia Phuket and showing you their Ocean Room.
Ocean Rooms are in different buildings, and the view can vary a little, depending on the floor and room location (e.g. is the view fully open or a bit obstructed by tree(s)). The one we got allocated to offers stunning ocean views.
The room is spacious and feels quite luxurious. There is ample space on the balcony and in the bathroom as well, plus a walk-in closet to stow away your bags.
While some part of Phuket can be quite busy these days, and despite the fact that Pullman was running quite high occupancy, it did not feel crowded. Yes, there were many people during breakfast hours and by the pool, but it was very reasonable and plenty of space by the beachside.
In a way this Pullman is located in a perfect location - rooms can be up in the hill and offer cliff views, while you still have access to the sandy beach next to the hotel as well.

I’m deciding between this room and beach front room at Marriott Merlin. Which one would you recommend, please?

Have you seen our Merlin beach review as well? ruclips.net/video/mRoCybFsuyk/видео.html (the room) and ruclips.net/video/Pcw-kc7Anr8/видео.html (the hotel). I felt that Pullman offers more privacy than Marriott Merlin as Marriott is basically one mega-sized building, but Pullman has several smaller buildings around the area. If you like snorkelling, Marriott has an edge, but for long beachside walks, Pullman has edge. Also Marriott might be better if you don't like walking up/down the stairs as Pullman is located on the cliff. Food-wise, Pullman breakfast is much better. Marriott Merilin felt a bit like a canteen (I think Merilin has the weakest Bonvoy breakfast in Phuket).
