No, at this hotel you can't. If you want to open the windows, the new Mercure Surawong has balcony rooms, where windows open.

Thank you for your compliments! :) Sadly the windows are closed and can't be opened in this hotel (or Ibis on the lower floors of the same building). If you need fresh air, you can consider Tribe 39, new Accor hotel in Bangkok, where they have air purifiers in all rooms. We haven't uploaded the video of that hotel yet, but had a look a few weeks ago.

In theory, you should be eligible, in practise, it might depend. I got upgraded as Titanium after negotiation, so, it should be possible for Platinum as well. You most likely have to negotiate/ask when doing the check in, if there is still availability. Initially they tried to deny me claiming, that they are sold out, while app was showing availability. As next to me was also two of their managers, the front desk agent got clearance to upgrade. So, you might need to get a manager involved as well.

@@xspider98 Yes, Corner room is quite decent as well - I took some snaps of that, you can see the pictures at hotelhoppers.org/p/review-moxy-bangkok-ratchaprasong It has he dining/working table at least, something that the base category Moxy rooms are missing. But don't be afraid to ask for Deluxe, if that is available. Sometimes upgrades happen on request only.

Thanks for reaching out! While we stayed there, it was quite peaceful and I don't recall the prayer sounds. One hotel I recall them was Keemala in Phuket, where they were quite audible. Maybe it would also help if you ask your room to be facing the mountain, not the main road, this way it should be more quiet as well.

Hi, Ami! Sorry it took a while to answer. I see in my speedtest files that When I was there in 2022, the the speed was 29 Mbps down and 15 Mbps up, which is not the fastest, but should be enough to get things done. Location is quite good - just short walk away from MRT stop and the park nearby is nice for evening (or early morning walks) as well. The views from rooftop pool are pretty panoramic as well. Just breakfast was somewhat underwhelming back then.

I have not been to Pullman in person, but a friend of mine was. He said that Hyatt is better. One strong plus point for the Hyatt is that their beachfront is likely the longest among Danang hotels (except InterContinental, which has basically private beach). Pullman wins with the location, if you wish to be close to the city's restaurants and other activities, Hyatt's neighbourhood is more remote and you'd need to get Grab to get around.

When I stayed there, I got club access as well. I checked now the current the fine print on hotel website and it seems like the normal suites (Junior, Club, Carlton) come with lounge access, but 2BR and 3BR suites do not mention it. With how many people you are travelling? Sometimes these bigger suites can be also negotiated with the hotel. Hi! Yes, there is glass wall between the bathroom and bedroom - you can choose to keep it transparent, or for privacy, roll down the curtain, to block the view.

Hi! I don't recall seeing any, but they can be quite common in Thai resorts. Usually they flee away quickly when they see human. From all my hotel stays in Thailand I don't recall any occasion where I could get too close to them, so I would not worry. Also, you're more likely to see them during the daytime as reptiles, they use sun to warm them up. You can let staff know and perhaps they can set up some repellents to keep them away.

@@thenattytroll2408 I would say it depends what you're looking for. Conrad is all villas property, where the beach is almost non-existent, so you'd be chilling mostly in your villa. I would say that villas at Conrad offered more privacy than at Ritz. Conrad is great for couples to spend a nice weekend getaway. And Conrad offers sunset views, as it is facing West. Ritz is much bigger hotel with many buildings, pools and you can use the beach as well (even though it is quite coarse - so not for walking barefoot). So if staying longer and with kids, Ritz would be a better fit. What I found a bit underwhelming was dining at Ritz - the main restaurant is so big, that it felt like a canteen in a way. For seaside dinner, we actually drove to another property nearby, which I see is now operating under Garrya brand, and which seemed like very nice hotel. If you like sunrises, walking by the beach, you might also consider Vana Belle, also Marriott property like Ritz.

Yes, while the beds are comfy, and the building/room are in the older colonial style, in 2023 one would expect better in-room charging options from a 5-star resort. For example, SO/ Sofitel Hua Hin is much more modern from that perspective. Just more luxury and better comfort, for example, Banyan Tree Krabi or Ritz Carlton Reserve Krabi, come at much higher room rates, compared to Sofitel.

Yep, this would be pretty good for a family - I think they can add an extra bed in the living room space. Also if the kids already know how to swim - then the direct access to pool is handy. Otherwise for families, as alternative, they have also room with king bed + 2-level bunk bed combo (www.sofitelkrabiphokeethra.com/rooms-suites/family-room/). That room does not have pool access, but everyone would have a proper bed. I felt that Pullman offers more privacy than Marriott Merlin as Marriott is basically one mega-sized building, but Pullman has several smaller buildings around the area. If you like snorkelling, Marriott has an edge, but for long beachside walks, Pullman has edge. Also Marriott might be better if you don't like walking up/down the stairs as Pullman is located on the cliff. Food-wise, Pullman breakfast is much better. Marriott Merilin felt a bit like a canteen (I think Merilin has the weakest Bonvoy breakfast in Phuket).

I would suggest that you just book the room with double occupancy (2 adults), it does not change the rate - most hotel rates in Thailand are the same for single or double occupancy, the differences in rates usually kick in for 3rd person. During the check-in it is all right when there is just one person. However, most hotels require by terms that you would register your overnight guest, who stays beyond 23:00. Still, that in practise, is not always and everywhere enforced.
