This was a great review 10/10 You and Gem really put in work and the chemistry was perfect The best you ever did with someone Sean. This was enjoyable to sit through.
Heya, I saw you promoting your video on Blaze's server and really wanted to give it a shot! I completely respect your opinion, I personally had a lot of fun with Robotboy and find it pretty good (I personally love the action, Tommy teaching Robotboy new concepts/his friendship with him, and how funny the villains can be) but definitely agree that some voice acting choices, GUS, and depiction of abuse in the family along with needing to keep Robotboy a secret could've used more time to iron out. I have a feeling it did want to be episodic with continuity peeking here and there but the episode order (and that finale) really hampers it. It's funny it was mentioned that there's more gross-out as the show progresses because yeah, a writer on Ren and Stimpy, Bob Camp, was hired to direct the second season for Robotboy but he was more in it for the money. Overall your review is solid, insightful, funny, and engaging (funnily enough, C.H.O.P is one of my favorite episodes of the show too!). My only critique would be that the on-screen text can last a few seconds longer, it can be tricky to pause and read it when it only lasts for three seconds. Subbed!
and i respect your opinion too. I just don't like the show on a personal level, because there were several points where it rubbed me the wrong way (Gus, the other characters disregarding Tommy's personal space, Dwight and Donnie, and the grossout) and when the show didn't make me either frustrated or uncomfortable. I was honestly very bored, I didn't mention this in my review. But the episode 'Small Problems' besides that one commercial and the pacing problems, I was glad that the episode didn't have Dwight or Gus in there. Because both of them along with Donnie, single handedly sours the experience. The episode in general was just kind of bland Though, if the show was rebooted. I would definitely give a shot, although. There would have to be so many things that would need to be fixed up For instance, I mentioned in my review that Professor Moshimo should have given robot boy to someone who is older instead. Given that in the show's universe, he is a popular inventor In the reboot. Maybe they could make new incarnations of the characters and make them adults instead, and also give Robot Boy a skin suit. So that way he could live like a normal boy like he says he wants to do in the show
@HolyGoldenCarter I always respect people who agree to disagree opinions without causing a ruckus. Anyways, as much as I hated the show, I thought Robotboy had the potential to be one of CN's classic or best shows. But it squandered it with... Well, you've seen the entire review so you should know the problems we've mentioned. Maybe if Robotboy had better writing, consistency on its lore, give us legit funny moments, perhaps put a new spin on the idea a little more, GET RID OF GUS or make him better, it might've been a sure hit. Also, LOL. You like the CHOP episode. And that's OK, I too believe CHOP is the best episode out of all of them. (even if it's a strange parody to Knight Rider) As it stands, Robotboy is a failure. But I wouldn't mind Robotboy getting another chance with a reboot and ACTUALLY make it better. I'd watch it.
Hi there! I’m me from the future! So I don’t know if you take requests, but these two might be interesting. I want you to review Catscratch (2005) and It’s A Big Big World (2006). For It’s A Big Big World, I want this show to more recognizable for everyone. People had just been forgetting about it, so I think it’s time to bring back the memories! As for Catscratch, this show might be made for you. I mean, who doesn’t love a good ol’ comedy show? I know you have A LOT of shows to binge at the moment, but still. I await your review my fellow reviewer.
Personally my thoughts on RobotBoy are pretty mixed, on the one hand the animation is good especially with the action scenes and there are some good episodes in this series. But it does have some really huge flaws like the characters can range from being okay to being completely unlikeable, and the overrall writing is a very mixed bag. I will admit I do kind of a have a soft spot for this series, mainly due to the fact that I grew up with it and I used to watch it on Cartoon Network all the time alongside other shows like Hero 108, The Cramp Twins and Chop Socky Chooks which were actually done by one of the studios that produced RobotBoy Cartoon Network Studios Europe (now known as Hanna Barbera Studios Europe), who would later go on to make The Amazing World of Gumball. But yeah while the series may be a guilty pleasure for me it’s definitely not for everyone.

Pretty good review! Although I have to mention about some fans defending the show with poor reasonings. This also apply to those who are nostalgia blind about Robotboy and thought everyone said the sucked were completely wrong. Despite the fact, it was the harsh truth that the show didn't age really well. And I only saw episodes as a kid, but incomplete because I switch to another channel, I only remember that online flash game that was way too hard for kids to beat. And yeah, this show was a lot, lot more worst than I vaguely remember.
I recall this show came out when I lost interest in CN shows. I mean I still watched the channel during the summer of 06, but Robotboy was one of the contributing factors for me. Do I think its the worst animated show of the 2000s? No, I wouldn't say its as bad as 'Pet Alien' or 'Bobinogs', but I understand your dislike for it. It just didn't age well either.
Why the hell are you adding a harmless preschool show like Bobinogs in there? If youi wanted to put a preschool show in there Dora The Explorer has got you covered
@@cartoonfanatic Cause when it comes to my least favourite cartoons from the 2000s, Bobinogs was the first show to come to my mind. IMO, it's just a half-assed kids' show. Not that I was expecting it to be "high art", but I did expect something.
I disagree. I think Robotboy is pretty darn underrated, judging by some interesting stories, a good plot, and some likable characters like Tommy, Robotboy, Lola, Robotgirl, and Debbie Turnbull. And most of the villains were creative and fun. I enjoyed watching it when I was a kid on Cartoon Network. And yeah, I do agree. Gus is the worst, but sometimes he can be funny.😅 Oh, and Debbie Turnbull is one hot mama.😍😘

Let be honest here, the only reason why this cartoon has a following is because Debs Turnbull is hot (also the Pe Teacher & Mona Lethal).
