Two Aussie legends just having fun on stage, honestly, even though I love them both, I would pick John Farnham over Jimmy Barnes but they are both epic.
If you guys want to react more, I would suggest you start off with John Farnham and the Melbourne symphony orchestra, singing the songs,
    - help ( the Beatles cover)
    - your the voice ( Australia's unofficial national anthem)
    - it's a long way to the top ( ACDC cover)
    - playing to win.
This gives you a taste of a couple different types of songs from John Farnham and I think you will love them.
Loved your reactions, I'm now subscribed, can't wait to see more.
    ❤️🇦🇺👍👍👍

John and Jimmy are rock legends in Australia 🇦🇺.
They perform separately, but have collaborated often and are friends. The guitarist, Diesel, is a performer in his own right, and just happens to be Jimmy's son in law.
Highly recommended diving down the John Farnham rabbit hole. Tip: always react to him live, his crowd engagement is second to none. Start with Help(Beatles cover) and You're the Voice, both with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra.
Jimmy used to be with the band Cold Chisel, a fantastic group.

A little more info on John Farnham... His recording career began in 1967, his first single was released in November 1967, although he didn't like the song, it went to No1 and stayed there for 6 weeks, it was the highest-selling single by an Australian artist of the decade and became the biggest-selling single in Australia at that time. John was crowned 'King of Pop' five consecutive times from 1969 to 1973. John has had a number one records in Australia in five consecutive decades from the 1960s to 2000s, with number one singles in the 1960s, '70s and '80s and number one albums in the 1980s, '90s and 2000s. This man is a "Legend" and a hell of a nice guy as well. Loved by millions over here.

Spread the love for these artists. Jimmy is my favourite artist, whom I have to listen to everyday (no word of a lie)…… He was in a band called Cold Chisel as a teenager in the 70’s and they disbanded in 1983, but have reformed a few times since, most notably for the 2003 Ringside concert where you’ll find a plethora of great songs including When the War is over and Bow River. Chisel, as they are also known, has two singers including Jimmy and their guitarist Ian Moss. Jimmy’s first solo album was Bodyswerve in 1984 ish so he’s been performing for a long time. He is now 67 and still touring. By the way Cold Chisel did this song at the end of one of their Rockpalast concerts in Germany, so this would have been a good while prior to this version from the 90’s. it is on You Tube if your keen to see that version for your own entertainment. Jimmy has sung with Tina Turner and Joe Cocker. He’s rocked out with Joe Bonamassa. He has a powerful voice but knows how to harmonise with anyone. His daughter Mahalia Barnes ended up in Joe Bonamassa’s band and sings with him on Riding with the Kings. His first born son David is a presenter on TV but also has a beautiful voice. Diesel (aka Johnny Diesel, real name Mark Lizotte is the guitarist in their song), married Jimmy’s wife’s sister so they are brothers in law.
Then to top that off John Farnham is also a legend.
So happy people are discovering them whilst they are still with us. May they live on for many many many years ❤❤❤

Mate 2 from Farnesy are best live with the Melbourne symphony orchestra. HELP (Beatles song but better) and our unofficial national anthem YOU'RE THE VOICE. Barnsey my 2 fave are one with his band cold chisel, live on a circular stage "bow river" and solo with Joe bonomasa "stone cold". Enjoy mate 👍🏼

Yep... they are both amazing artists. We've had a lifetime filled with wonderful performances from them...affectionately known in Australia as "Barnsey & Farnsey". John is also called "the Voice", his talent is so impressive. Hits in 6 decades.... King of Pop 69-73 - 5 consecutive years... did a few years as lead singer of LRB, but his career soared again in the 80s with the release of his album "Whispering Jack". Jimmy Barnes was the lead singer for Cold Chisel (a well known Aussie Band), he's still going strong. The guitarist is actually Jimmy's brother-in-law, Jimmy Diesel (his band was Jimmy Diesel and the Injectors, another great band). John Farnham is Music royalty over here, they say he could sing the phone book and it would sound great....LOL He is so versatile, can sing any genre of music you want to name. Australia has held it's breath since last year when he had massive surgery of mouth cancer, but the latest is that he is cancer free and has started singing around the house. John was performing up till COVID closed everything down, and even in his seventies, he still had that voice. Never changed the song keys, still belting them out, note perfect.

      So glad you liked them..
It's so great that RUclips reactors are bringing our Aussie music industry Royalty to the world.
Both guys are huge in Australia but relatively unknown outside of Aus. John made a conscious decision to stay in Australia once he had a family. He did do a short stint of 4 or 5 years as the lead singer for the Little River Band. And toured the US during that time but was enough for him to realise that family was more important to him so most of his career was here in Australia. Although he was also huge in Europe in the 90's and 90's as well. John is known as the best voice in Australia, and as an all round nice guy and humanitarian.
Jimmy started of as the lead singer for an Iconic Aussie band called Cold Chisel and has been going for almost as long since the early 70's and is more known as a hard rocker with all that goes along with that title. I hope you enjoy learning more about both of these guys ....their music is fantastic
Both have been topping our charts for decades

Normally separate. Both have ridiculously huge vocal ranges. Barnes has a career with rock and soul music both with his band Cold Chisel and as a solo artist. Farnham was more a pop singer but can actually master any genre and has done so with the likes of Ray Charles, Tom Jones, Celine Dion, Sammy Davis Jr.. You’re looking at two of the best singers alive today. That singerreactions rates them both in the top 5 in the world.

John Farnham is not singing falsetto. He has a huge vocal range and can belt out all the high notes, on pitch, full volume, with clear diction, long duration and multiple ranges in one phrase. In fact he has to move the mic away when he goes to full voice.
You will find videos of Farnham singing just about every genre, and killing it.
Live is best, from his cover of The Beatles hit, “Help!” and JF’s hit “You’re The Voice”, with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, to his cover of ACDC’s “Long Way to the Top” and his audio version of Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog” for a sound check, plus a snippet of opera, singing “Granada” in a comedy bit with our Aussie opera star, Anthony Warlow.
As for his ‘mullet’, to me it is more of a lion’s mane. Other dudes may have mullets. Farnsey has a sexy mane of golden locks. Mmmm mmm!
This performance was over 30 years ago.

    • @Saan42
      @Saan42 Год назад +6

People don't seem to understand what a mullet is these days. John Farnham never had a mullet - mullets are what bogans wear - short back and sides, long tail. John's is definitely not short enough at the back and sides, it's literally just big 80s hair!

Enjoyed the reaction... Play any of these two and you'll have thousands of Aussies swamp you. A documentary was just released in Australia called "Finding the Voice - John Farnham" and it has broken box office records, and 2 of his albums are back up in the top 10 albums... John is "the VOICE" and all three you saw are Music Royality in Australia. Always watch John "live" performances. Check him out doing his version of HELP (the Beatles) as an encore at the end of a 2+ hour concert it will give you an idea of his "range" and power....in fact, anything from this concert is amazing... but generally people begin their "Farnham" journey with this one... ruclips.net/video/dv54giOSRKs/видео.html

Commenting on hair instead of musical performance seems to be a signature move for this channel. You'd think that someone that talks about it so much would be able to realise that John does NOT have a mullet. Mullet is a specific style -- business at the front, party at the back.
