- I thought it would be fun to get to know each other a little better! In this video, I talk about who I am outside this channel, my history with writing, failed projects & manuscripts, and my current work in progress! ✨
Comment down below your favorite part about this video or a bit about how you became a writer! 🖊
It's so fun getting to know you guys, thank you for tuning in! Don't forget to like, comment, and subscribe! 🤍
I love seeing writers starting out at the beginning of their journey to finish a book! Witnessing fresh enthusiasm is really nice and inspiring. I've been writing since my early 20's and I just turned 40. I've completed five books (I'm a sloooow writer) and hope to query my most recent book sometime this year.
@@lendralit1174 wow! It’s so cool to hear from you, that’s awesome that you have been writing for so long. Thanks for watching! Best of luck on querying!😊
There's nothing more delightful than the feeling of writing a story you are enthusiastic about, i'm starting to write my second novel right now and i get you, this journey is fantastic and the community around it makes it better. I'm definitely watching all your videos to join your journey.
@@Miswhite aww thank you!! That is so kind!!
Also a writer! My book is debuting this September and I’m TERRIFIED, but I also LOVE watching other writers channels share their process and it always motivates me to keep going. Super stoked to have found you!
@@JadeJuniiper That’s incredible! Congratulations! So nice to meet you, thanks for checking my channel out!
@@andesears 🥰✨🙏🏻
So cool to have found your channel! Your vibes are so welcoming and sweet!
@@isabellajuanitalyn aww thank you!!! welcome!!🫶🏼
I can't believe I found this channel because we have so much in common!! I started writing when I was super young, started a million stories that I never finished, got serious about one of my stories a year or two ago, listened to a bunch of podcasts/youtube videos from writing experts to educate myself, and wrote the last sentence of my first draft about three days ago. I'm in film school but I've always known that I would be an author someday. Like you, I'm a fantasy fan and my novel is a fantasy!
It's so fun to see other writers who are around my age and at the same point in their journeys as I am -- and we're both in Illinois!
I look forward to reading your book someday and am happy to be a part of your corner of youtube!
@@hannahetienne Wow, this is one of the sweetest comments I’ve read! We sound like kindred spirits! I am so glad you can relate. And girl, CONGRATULATIONS on finishing your first draft! What an enormous accomplishment. Seriously, cheering you on through these next steps. I hope you’ll stick around so I can hear all the updates!
Nice to meet you, Hannah!🫶🏼
Omg! I also live in Illinois, work in higher ed, and am a writer haha. So glad I found your channel!
@@ChristieLee789 wow! talk about relatable!!!
My favorite part was when you mentioned my wedding 😘 JK, of course.
My favorite part about this is hearing your journey and your thought process and everything that got you to where you are now. I love getting a look into someone's mind, and it's even better when it's someone I love. Can't wait to see where all of this goes!
Aww, thank you for taking the time to watch! and it was totally your wedding I was talking about. 😏 I love you! Thank you for your support🤍🤍
Hey Ande! Fellow author here from Australia. I published my first novella this Jan, with my debut to come in September. It's a wild ride but most importantly, it is so fruitful when you find a community to share it with - so you're definitely on the right track. Excited to see your journey from here on out!
Hey Joshua! Such a great reminder, thanks for sharing a bit about your story and the encouragement for mine! So exciting that your debut will be this September, congratulations!!!
Not sure why this video was recommended to me, but I am excited it came across my page! I always wanted to be a writer because I loved daydreaming up characters, but I never got there. I related to a lot of what you said, so I am happy to see where your journey goes. Even more exciting that I found this fairly early in the journey! Who knows, this might be the inspo I needed.
Aww, this really made my day to read!! I am so happy you found my page so early on and related to the video! I hope you stick around and maybe even start writing! 😁 Very happy to have you here!
Congrats on you and your hubby! My husband and I married at 21 and are going on 7 years now 🎉☺️💖
@@TaylorAnnWright thank you!!! so sweet!! 🥲🫶🏼
I’m a 41 year old dude and yet I heard so much of myself in your story. I wrote my first novel in 2012 as a supplementary piece of media for this TV show I was writing, but I’ve decided to take a break from filmmaking to pursue novel writing and I’m about 250 pages into my second book (which feels more like a first). It’s a mystery. Liked and subscribed.
@@BespectacledMofo That’s incredible! I’m so glad you could relate. Best of luck on your book!
@@andesears you too
I really enjoyed your video and as ReareaGirl said, I feel lucky to have found your channel so early in the process😁 I'm a wish-to-be writer from Denmark and I'd be horned to help with the Beta- read if you ever need it. Good luck with the project, I will follow eagerly ✨
@@ottolehner7249 Aww, thank you!! I really appreciate you taking the time to watch and follow along so early in the process! also, HELLO IN DENMARK! that is too cool! So happy to have you here, I will keep your offer in mind for Beta readers! 🫶🏼😁
good luck with your book!
thank you!!!
HI, there! Your name is so similar to my human name (and maiden name) that it feels like fate that led me to another chill writer. You're awesome!
I miss wearing that flannel once a week
l have a question : why some writers publish their books to sell on kindle while they are can build their own site to sell books and make more money by selling their books on a website that they own
@@mwebdeveloper A lot of self published authors will do both, or a combination of different forms of selling! I know that I personally intend to sell my book via kindle, amazon, and a website. It all depends on preference and cost. Both Amazon and Kindle are completely free to self publish on, where as building a website, paying to have your book physically printed and then shipped to people can begin to bring the cost up. I hope this helps!
