    Cowling your firewall-forward efforts will be like cowling the beauty of a radial engine. Impressive work - as usual!

    Very nicely done. How come you don't put a small blob of rtv where the seal splits at the top? Seems like a spot that will start to leak in time.

      I suspect it won’t be an issue but I don’t see what it would hurt to add a bit there just in case if a guy wanted too. Thanks for watching sir👍

    That looks so clean. I know you were developing some parts (like the throttle cable bellcrank) that you are thinking of selling. Do you have a website listing them? Also, any idea what you'll have money-wise in the FWF when you're finished? Thanks for the awesome content.

      Thanks Lee! I will be offering a few parts in the future and will keep everyone posted on that progress. For now the best place to see that stuff is right here on this channel. I expect to be around the 14-15k mark firewall forward including my ecu, gearbox, engine and prop along with all the systems..

    What electric water pump are you using ?

    • @Project2Aero
      @Project2Aero  Год назад

      Early on I was using a Pierburg CWA400 knowing it was way to much but I wasn’t sure how much flow I’d actually need. I’m now running dual EWP80’s from Davies Craig. Much lighter and easier to package. One is enough to keep the cooling in check and the second is just redundancy since I’m not using the stock mechanical pump.

    Looks great with that turbocharger should have no problem going up high.

    Great work! Since the engine is water cooled have you thought of installing a heater core and blower to heat the cabin and lastly how much is the complete engine weight fwf. Thanks Mike

      @Project2Aero  2 года назад

      Thanks! A heater core is the plan once I make sure what I have is working ok. I expect this engine package to be around 200lbs. I will weight it all when I get it all gathered up.

    • @Project2Aero
      @Project2Aero  Год назад

      I made mine, however a do believe Steve Henry at Wild West aircraft just might have an option for the s21👍

    Video nicely done as always. What was that grey paste you put on the case bolts, anti-seize? Lubrication will affect bolt torque. Also a good idea to make 3 torque passes (1/3, 2/3, full) vs going to full torque on first pass. Do you plan to clean the grease out of the gearbox bearings that were factory greased?

      Thanks! All good points to consider. The grey is high temp sealant. Thanks for watching👍

    Can you run a constant speed prop?

    • @Project2Aero

      It is set up for an electric constant speed. I’m not gonna run one but it is possible👍
