Those wondering how to get the orbs at 3:57:20. I had to Google this lol but Here is how. You need to first defeat Perseus. You will then need to locate 3 stars. Go back inside through the upper left door. Once in the chamber jump up on the ledge against the back wall but don't go out on the balcony just yet. To the left of the exit, in a dark area where it's pretty difficult to see there is a small star on the ground. Stand on the star (3:56:45) and hit R1 a few times (though once is enough). Now run outside on the balcony. Around the corner to your right and under a window there is a second star on the ground. Stand on the star (3:56:54) and hit R1 a few times (again, once is enough). Now keep going and quickly grapple across to get over the other side of the roof. Run around the corner and go all the way to the pressure switch, stand on the switch to activate the roots walkway. When the roots are nearly fully extended slow time with the Amulet of the Fates and quickly run across. Once on the center platform you will see the third star on the ground by the first tree (3:57:19). I’ve included the time stamps in the video for reference.
Kratos definitely had a lot of character development going on in God of War Ascesion, we see his more human side, before he changed into a ruthless champion for the Gods, he was shown to feel genuine remorse for his actions and genuine sadness at the death of his allies, he even saved an innocent passerby from being impaled by a spear after he started servicing the Gods, his frustration at them took hold and he started caring less about the well being of the people around him, he could be seen as being impatient and wanting to rush things through, he then felt that every thing he did was for nothing when Athena said that though his sins were forgiven, the memory of what he had done would haunt him forever after reluctantly succeeding Ares as the God of War, Kratos lost most of his humanity, and when he lost his remaining relatives, he completely lost his humanity and swore revenge against the Gods that treated him as a pawn, he chose vengeance over forgiving and forgetting, when all he wanted before was to forget his past upon being betrayed by Zeus, Kratos was consumed by his anger and was willing to do any thing to ensure that he got his revenge, he did get his revenge, but it brought him no peace, all it did was ensure that his suffering would never end after venturing to the Norse Midgard and experiencing fatherhood again, Kratos learned to better channel his rage and came to regret his past actions that led him to this point, he attempts to teach Atreus to not walk down the path of hatred and finally found some peace at last
there was also a novel based on this game, but it was not too popular, the novel had a few plot holes in the main story, Kratos goes after the Sisters of Fate at the prompting of Gaea after being betrayed by Zeus, but there is a subplot that shows a power play between Hermes and Iris, competing against each other for the role of Messenger God, they spread rumors about each other and Hermes ultimately won, Iris was punished to appear as rainbows only after it rained the plot holes included Theseus revealing that he served as the horse keeper, because he regretted abandoning Ariadne after she helped him defeat the Minotaur and escape the Labyrinth, he hoped that the Sisters would consider giving him a second chance with her if he served them dutifully enough, then there were Jason and the Argonauts, they came to the Island of Creation to seek the Sisters, hoping to exchange the Golden Fleece for a second chance, Jason regretted abandoning Medea, who ruined his life, because he failed to keep his promise of her being his one true love, he hoped he could exchange the Golden Fleece for another chance, but since the Sisters have no use for the Golden Fleece, they probably would not have helped him any way
This has honestly been my childhood ps2 game , well first game in 2005 😭 loved that game from the heart and till this day I’m glad I was introduced on my own from the start very entertaining and great development story 😭 till the more recent God of war
In 30 years there will be multiple decimated pantheons of gods all because Athena and/or Zeus decided letting a god killer retain his PTSD was fine. Also I like how the first time we see Zeus in this game is when he's an eagle. It's both his symbolic animal and helps make his Atreus' animorphing abilities.
Btw 5:41 when you found a secret, there were you coolect Gaia chest , you also can break the wall on the right side to use the hidden lever to remove the spikes on spinning pillars. Thx for no commentary video.
I think this games version of Icarus is a bit dark because the wings have been surgically attached to him but he probably ripped them off a griffin or something

At the end of god war Zeus fight the button strategy sucks I have been it for a hour. Think o figured something out ok I figured out a strategy for the button minigame. I call it slow-mo! before the button minigame starts press select to pause the game. notice that the game in the background is still visible (although somewhat blurry which is ok since each button has a different color and very distinct shape even when blurry). when ready to proceed press the select button twice very quickly and the game will advance only a few frames. continue to do this until the "button" appears. when the "button" is displayed you should be able to unpause the game and then start mashing the proper button. I used this strategy just now and it worked like a charm. this should enhance your minigame success by about 90%. in fact this strategy should work for any multi button minigame you are having troubles with
btw to when he goes to the aprt where he gets gaiaas magic thing when you look right theres a red glow in wall if you break it youll find a lever where all the tree thing will turn off i just randomly found this lol
