I'm in Virginia. DMV has no record of me because I don't drive and I use my federal ID instead of a state ID (more secure and free). I check my voter registration status regularly. Gonna early vote.
This is a good plan. You can get an id from the dmv as a non driver, which may make voting easier. The polls scan the bar code on ids to check your info. Please go early to your registrar's office and vote.😊

In New Mexico we were informed we could early vote October 9th, but when my sister went they won’t be allowing early voting until October 19th at that site. We can vote at the clerk’s annex office now, or wait until various dates for our normal locations. Normally in an election this contentious New Mexico would raise alarm bells, but, this happens here. Usually because of being disorganized and somewhat disinterested in what the Federal government wants in general. I’ll keep you all updated, but, this is probably more about our mañana attitude.

I happened to go really early (unlike me, I'm notorious for cutting things close) and the DMV clerk casually asks if I wanted to register to vote. I pulled out my voter registration card, he acts confused, then proceeded to register me and update my licence using my voter card as proof of address!

Legal resident Aliens can have a DRivers Lisense. They can't vote.

In New Mexico we were informed we could early vote October 9th, but when my sister went they won’t be allowing early voting until October 19th at that site. We can vote at the clerk’s annex office now, or wait until various dates for our normal locations.
Normally in an election this contentious New Mexico would raise alarm bells, but, this happens here. Usually because of being disorganized and somewhat disinterested in what the Federal government wants in general. I’ll keep you all updated, but, this is probably more about our mañana attitude.

I'm in VA and had to renew my driver's license this fall. I happened to go really early (unlike me, I'm notorious for cutting things close) and the DMV clerk casually asks if I wanted to register to vote. I pulled out my voter registration card, he acts confused, then proceeded to register me and update my licence using my voter card as proof of address!
It makes my blood boil to hear this opportunistic voter purge by these MAGA republicans and I am a Brit! Sam 🇬🇧
