Sorry about your split man, been watching you both for years and now seeing so many of my fave youtubers either calling it a day or stepping back. I too have lost all passion for creating this last year, hit me like a tonne of bricks, but I'm actually glad to see others have felt or are still feeling the same. Always being "on" is truly exhausting so sometimes turning off and leaving ourselves cool down is something very much needed. Love the video!
Best advice I always tell myself: “if you don’t enjoy the process, then something has to change” I love the process of creating not the actual end result/posting. The process is for me. The posting is for everyone else 🙏💪
Great video Chris; thrilled to hear you're embracing "motion" and all the experiences that come along with it! Just please ensure you're not relying on it to distract yourself from problems in your life that you need to address; they will always come back to bite you if don't face them sadly. As always balance is key, looking forward to seeing what you do next!
This channel has always been at it's best when you're just making content that you're having fun with. Things like this and the Sony exec skits. Don't worry about us, make what you love and we'll love watching it. Glad you're back, Chris!
Nice to see you creating again Chris! I’d thought maybe I was being a bad subscriber and wasn’t consuming enough only to realize you weren’t really creating as much. Kudos to you for focusing on yourself during a tough year. I hope this coming year brings great things to you.
Proud of you Chris!! I love that quote about an airplane in motion that's such a great way to regain perspective and motivation. Life's tough sometimes and you continue to inspire and be an example for others! Great to see your content again ;)
Thank you for putting this video out! As a creator very early in my journey, I really needed to hear this. Just showing up and trying is the hardest part I think.
It's funny how when u r at the level ur at, the mentality is that everything needs to be a banger video. But to be honest, i love just checking what yall are up 2. Just updates. Vlogs. All that i would love from all the people that aren't posting a lot anymore...
Still got to watch the rest of the video! But mate welcome back, you do great content and it’s always appreciated… cos you’re a great guy and easy to connect with. Life is hard and I know first hand with what a sh!t it can be. But having focus and having an amazing following friends and family will get your mind off everything. Trust me ! I’m working on my life /creative journey ( and dealing with what’s potentially terminal cancer. Awaiting results. So seeing something like your great videos and getting out creating is a fantastic way to get out of the hole that is life.
Well said man, I’ve felt the same way recently and have tried to stray away from perfectionism. In a lot of ways I think perfectionism helps us find that initial success, but damn it can be crippling in the long run! Keep the content coming, we are here for your energy 🔥
Keep doing what your inner self tells you, dont force anything.Dont overthink just do what makes you happy and everything will fall into place.I felt myself in your video and I m really happy I watched this.thanks Chris and wish you the best!
Hearing your process and seeing your footage is so inspiring. Thank you for it all. Glad you're back to flying and happy to be a passenger along the way. Great views! :)
I really enjoyed the visuals in this vlog, but more importantly the vulnerability and the soul behind it. Thank you for whatever you choose to share. It is very inspiring 😊!
Great Video Chris! (Gab from Azores trip) - Glad you're finding your creative flow again! I actually really love this style of content, vloggy - discovering new places - but high quality optics with a fun storyline Keep it up!
I feels great to "have you back", Chris. Do whatever you can with whatever you have. The world needs more basic things that we relate to, and not necessarily all top notch cinematic videos. Keep going! ❤
Mario was always my guy! Love what you do Chris. Just so you know, you're one of the main reasons why I had confidence to quit my job and go full time back in 2017! Appreciate it and would love to collaborate with you someday.
This was so helpful. This is exactly how I've felt for the past six months. Thank you so much for being vulnerable and sharing your perspective on the situation. Also Yoshi, all day erdat 🤘
I've been feeling the way you were since the end of last year. Life has just been so busy that I don't even feel like creating lately. My wife and I have a theme park channel and we haven't been able to get to any of the theme parks lately with how busy our lives have been. The less we go the less I feel the urge to create lately. I def feel stuck at the airport lately.
You are amazing dude! I am so sorry to hear about your separation this year. My wife and I separated this year as well and it’s caused some major reflections on my goals and where I wanna head. I loved your perspectives shared here and I’m excited to see whatcha create brother!
Yo Chris, I'm laughing out loud about all the relatable stuff about perfectionism, self-esteem and just overthinking sh*t! Airplanes gotta fly, keep it up!
Chris, fellow Torontonian and canooook here. I got my first paid photo assignment back in 2003, and by 2007 was shooting full time. With 20yr in the game I can safely say 2 things spoke to me relating to this video. 1) I thoroughly miss the days of just having to take photos , get them to the client and maybe update my website. Having to worry about reels, shorts , verticals, long form, short form… it’s too many things for 1 human brain to compitently deal with. 2) Back in the day I used to go out and shoot all kinds of random things purely out of passion and the joy of capturing cool images. I’d be out on the Lakeshore at 3am with a tripod doing nightscapes like a lunatic. Now that I’ve been at it for so long I find my self only being motivated to take the camera out of the bag, if I’m being paid. This is a bad trap for any long time creators to fall into. We need to remember the reason we got into this line of work is for the love of capturing / documenting moments in time. I’d advise that if you still get that little rush when you see a money shot pop up on your LCD, you still have the passion for it. Regarding relationship failing.. been there also 😂 it gets better with time
Great to see you ramping back up on RUclips. Sweetie & I have missed your videos. - Eric ZORK Alan & Sweetie [ Professional Poets & Bed 🛏️ & Beer🍺 Vloggers ]
This has always been a thing with me as well, overpacking my loadout and overthinking..but here's what I discovered about the overpacking, when I don't take the thing I don't think I'm going to need, I or someone else i'm working with needs that very thing. So screw it, I'd rather "overload" my gear and not need something, than leaving something behind because I'm overthinking things and realize to late that I needed it. I have persistent tinnitus in both my ears, so as a coping mechanism, my mind is always on, so overthinking is often justs part of the package, but I've learned to focus a little more, so it's not all chaos and mayhem, lol.
yeah I do the same, when youre flying from the Uk to america you dont want to put anything in the hold as it has a habit of going missing, carrying on board can be a heavy affair, I was 14kg at the weekend and got warned, lucky really ha @@rayortega4831
For real tho - what character in Mario Kart are you?
always yoshi! Thanks for sharing Chris! Looking forward for your 2024's videos 🙌

Wow that scene where the silhouette of Mt Fuji in the Sunset clouds is sick!!!!

🙏🏽🫂🫂 thank you for the honesty
6:38 I always do this with EVERYTHING.
I always think of the "possibly" outcomes for every single thing in life. It's annoying at times 😂
I don't have time for video games Chris! I am an adult!!! lol.. Great to see you back at it.
Lots of adults play video games ;)
Let’s go for those Mario Karts this year! Might go to Tokyo in October 😊
Heck ya!
For knives, get them from Seki- city or Tsubame in Niigata. Won’t go wrong 😊
I’ve been shopping at that knife shop for over 20 years; great people.
Japanese knives are the best... This would totally be me in Japan... sickest scenery... most hyped about the knife shops hahah.
I either used Yoshi or Mario! Glad to see you back Chris!
Great to see you ramping back up on RUclips. Sweetie & I have missed your videos.

Ya'll always get me hype to create
My heart sunk when you said you and your wife had split. Keep your head up Chris.
this is like Creative Therapy'.. I constantly overpack for jobs (especially filming in America).. constantly overthinking too..

Welcome BACK!!! Totally relate to you on travel video... Shorts, vertical, long, VLOG, lenses, shot... BLAH!!! I always chose Mario
