Got to be one of the most instructive videos I've ever watched on a new machine Sid. Been using the E-Trac for 20 yrs but just bought the Deus 2 - so much more tweaks that can be made and you have helped that inderstanding process immensely - thank you so much for your time helping us Deus newbies.
Thank you for your careful explanation of how various settings are advantageous (or detrimental) for the desired customization. This really boosted my understanding of which feature of the Deus 2 controls each aspect of the setup. This is an awesome tutorial presented in a logical, step-by-step process. The verbal run through followed by the visual with the camera close-up on the Deus 2 remote screen is perfect. My new Deus 2 should arrive in the USA within the next few weeks, hopefully by the time our Indiana weather begins to warm up for Spring. Your efforts on this video are VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!
Well Ive had my deus 1 since 2012 in v2, after watching Sid's video, I found his explanation of the individual settings very easy to understand. More so, showing how you move around the settings on the controller, spot on Sid.
Got yourself a new subscriber. That video was so well explained and easy to follow. I’ve set my Deus2 up with these settings and did a quick test with my bag of bits. It seems to work a treat. That low chatter may drive me nuts, but let’s see. Thank you for taking the time to put this together. Appreciated
Sid. Did my very first rally today. Used your settings. Found the normal, lead etc. decided to swap to some of the built in settings in the Deus2. Nothing. Lunch and a cup of tea. Changed to a 9inch coil (from the 11). Back to your program. Bam. Worked a treat. Much better responses. Two coins. A toasted old coin. A twenty pence piece. I know they aren’t anything to shout about. But I couldn’t care less. Me and my detector (Sherlock) have found two coins in a 74 acre field. Thanks. X
XpD2 turned up today, I have watched your video when you first put out it on here, I have heard the XpD2 is complex but was able to put this your program in out of the box with your screen Guide help after a bit of fiddling and play back, not as complicated with your help, already own XpD1 and Nox 800 so I’m hoping for a new experience using it, thank you 😀😀😀, look forward to watch more from you 😀😀😀
Many thanks Sid, a very helpful instructional video. I've had my Deus 1 for four years and it's been brilliant. The Deus 2 being fully waterproof means I don't have to use a silicon cover on the remote to keep the weather off any more. My Deus 2 is coming Wednesday and I'll certainly be putting your program in. Can't wait to get out on the fields with the new best detector on the market in its price range!
Brilliant video for those new to the Deus II, being a Mars Gauss user I think it will be an easy swap to using the Deus II as they seem to be very similar in how they work and are set up and the tones very similar too. I will use both machines on the same target to see how they compare until I'm used to the Deuss II, once again excellent videos Sid.
Some folks here, in the U.S. are using the extra (foreign language) Equinox screen savers, and cutting them to fit the Deus 2 screen. It will help keep the sand from scratching the screen.
Well explained mate, I found the sensitive mode to be the deepest full fmf mode and made near enough the same programme last week and called it field 1😉😂 but it’s a bit more lively than the same programme on general prob caus of the soil filter. I’ll give yours a go as your old hammy programme was banging👍

HI Sid Great explanation, must admit some went over my head so watched it again, one question I have updated to latest version v1.10 and noticed slight differences, when setting tone breaks there was a volume setting for each one, i presume it would be best to set lower and move to higher as you go up tone breaks or am I wrong, cheers Mick

Great info mate!! Lots of discrimination in the Deep SE program. I tend to swing a little slower for the machine to process. I love to hear the machine talking to me with 0 discrimination "Like I did with the Nox" Did you see my last TikTok video mate. A friend set a program for me also off sensitive. Not seen new tiktok… ill have a gander… the deep se is a little like my hammy programme on deus 1, easier on the ears and calmer, still finds the goodies but a more open programme will be better in iron infested areas… there isnt a programme that excels in all conditions so its best to learn when and what to change to suit ground for optimal performance 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
If you get a tone at 450 and you turn 90 degrees and it jumps to the 650 tone, then more than likely it is a small hammered or roman coin on egde or on a different orientation. I've used this set up on mine but based in the park mode.

Just got home lad from picking mine up, have a question when I open the box and picked the coil and bottom stem up the coil is flashing blue, to tired at present to read the book 12 hours on the road to buy one lol, think I saw you in a jeep or could be detect nicks, a Ford ranger camouflaged?
Not me mate…. The deus coil always flashes just to show its holding a charge… when connected to charger the light will go solid and then flash when fully charged

But now the successor Deus 2 has come onto the market and I like the first impressions very much, now I am also very interested in the new Deus 2, do you think it is significantly better than the old Deus and is it worth buying a new one? Is it much better or more the same as its predecessor in terms of performance, depth, and small parts sensitivity? I've had my nox 800 since oct 2021 I'm out every week on all my old sites I use to have an etrac ,the nox has produced more since oct than 2 years with my etrac .I now use 15 inch coil as well last week I detected for 6 hrs in 10khz as the ground is a bit too noisy .10khz is def smoother got more hammered and a 50bc thunderbolt stater do you think the deus 11 would be an improvement on the nox,not that I need to find more it's just you know both machines which would you have all day long

That's fine... but on some land when the iron tone you hear isn't iron but ground noise it can become a headache.... Next time you get this pump coil while raising disc and you can dial out the ground for a true search and lots easier to detect the tricky targets in the minerals

Afternoon Sid lad, can I ask this of you fella, people are starting to say the battery is running out quickly on the coil 3 to 4 hours, can you do a video about the correct way to charge it, I read on the Deus Web page it should be charged to 40 percent on the first attempt if it as been stored away for a period of time but I know these are new batteries, thanks.
Mine lasted all day today no issue…. If people are using the lower khz programmes they will drain battery faster same as all machines but 4 hours aint right….
The deus is ticking all the boxes so far and seems brilliant… but it needs a good 6 months or more to know for sure… as you know i loved my nox and it is a awesome machine but i have a feeling the deus is taking top place……. For now… i hear theres a new minelab coming in the next 12 months 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩 i love all the competition between brands as it keeps pushing them to make better n better machines 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
The reason I asked lad I have to do a 300 mile round trip to pick my Deus ll up lol, so if you had said nope then would of saved petrol and money , keep up the good work on your videos your head seems to be fried most of the time like mine.
@@englandshistory I've had my 800 just over a year now and I'm still using marky marks beginner settings, I've had roman, hammered, posy ring, strap end etc etc. I even find very small items such as .22 .17 and even airgun pellets so I'm pretty sure I'm not missing anything. The only settings I sometimes change is I'll go into all metal mode and do a ground balance to quiet it down. Seems to work fine. If it ain't broke......
Just keep it simple to start with… fast for busy land, deep for quiet… you can’t start messing with all the features and functions once you get used to how things run/work

No you should have all the wanted targets nice n loud … you can lower the iron volume a little as that will help the good targets pop through

Hi Sid I find that SQUARE AUDIO helps if the noise is a bit snap crackle & pop . It fairly quietens the machine right down.

I cant fault the nox as its a banging machine but i really do think the deus ii will winkle out the tricky targets a little easier than the nox

nearly impossible from electric fences on any machine... best way i have found is turn the fence off ;-)

Nox is a great machine but the deus ii does everything the nox does and more so dont need both

I'm coming in blind from Simplex to D2 WS6 Master. I'm gonna need help or some anxiety pills.
