Thank you so very much for the coin it arrived today 😃 its going to take pride if place in my collection your genorosity overwhelms me, thank you very much indeed I've included your RUclips link to the write up I'm going to do for it 😊✔
Steve I am so pleased it arrived I was starting to wonder! And I am even more pleased you like it - that makes me happy!!! Hope all well down there! All the Best, Alexander
How lovely & relaxing watching you Alex & lovely Cath out comparing your detectors, well done on the info & great finds, good luck for more next time out.
Well what a hoot Tasci was, and best test I've seen regarding DeusII, goes to show you need to know your machine. Where's the fun and mystery if a machine can do it all. Great vid as always😊
I sort of agree with you re the mystery Angela! I really don't think i mind missing the odd thing as i know i do and always will with whatever machine you use! Thanks for watching and hope all well!
Thank you Alex and Cath for the comparison between the two Deus's. I feel after 4 yrs of using my Deus that I'm just getting to know it ( I know, its took me a long time) but I'm sticking it out. I may look at buying a different coil, but for now whilst its in working condition I'm staying with it.Thanks ATB HH. Jax
I enjoyed your video. I sold my MKI and acquired a MKII.Since then I have purchased another MKI as after 10 years using one I missed using the MKI machine. In fairness Iam in my 88th year and find it hard to change my set ways and preferences. Over the years My MKI Deus has been very kind to me and found me one of the worlds rarest coins. Its a case of horses for courses.Happy Hunting. Jerry.
Thank you Jerry - your 88th year well done thats amazing I'd be happy to be still out there in my 68th year!!! And any chance we can hear more about the coin??!! Thank you very much for watching and commenting - all the Best, Alexander
Just one thing to concider about the D2 is that it is apparently good on the beach, is completely waterproof and can discriminate out iron and coke🤷🏻♂️. But £1400 is a lot of money when I already have a deus1. I could get an equinox 800 for half the cost of a D2🤔
You are not the first to say that… stick with the deus if I were you … I will get 2 eventually but not until it is streets ahead I do ok with the old one! Hope all well Jim and thanks as always for watching!
Alex I’ve been a numpty and watched this one before Part 1…..Tasci is an absolute joy, no wonder a car rest was needed. I agree with your thoughts that the D1 suits you and you don’t need the 2 as yet….I didn’t catch what programme Cath was using but suspect that’s on the first one. Joy to watch as always and what a lovely lady Cath is. Have a nice weekend my friend
Thank you Alex and Cath for the comparison. I've owned a Deus 1 for the last 6-7 years and I've found some lovely finds with it. It's an amazing bits of kit just like the previous models I've owned from XP over the years. I think your comparison looks really positive for the Deus 2 being as it's still in beta. I've got mine on order. I'm not expecting much more depth on the field but I'm hoping the recovery might slightly improve amongst the iron etc. Another point that swung it for me (no pun intended) I will enjoy being able to use it on the wet sand in the summer with my children. Thanks again for the quality video 👍
Thanks Owen - much appreciated! I find the recovery speeds amongst iron pretty good providing I use no discrimination… I think you will like the II esp after a few more tweaks and I think the wet sand mode Is much improved ( though it couldn’t be much worse could it?) I’ll stop banging on as it sounds like you know much more about Xp than me but thanks for watching and hope all well!
Worth the wait young man but did cost me 2 bottles of wine as discussed yesterday 😁👍. I don't use a Deus but can understand why people do. In my mid sixties now and have detected, on and off, over 44 years, and until 2 years ago I always loved a British C-Scope detector. Only problem is it is now a little heavy to swing through a 6 hour session, so I looked at all the options for a lighter machine, including a Deus, and spent just £399 on a Vanquish 540. Now it's my go to machine and is just fantastic and of course has the multi frequency as well. This machine should see me to and through the rest of my swinging days and Jeez, it finds the goodies, even my FLO asked what changes I had made 😁😁. Keep it up Alexander, love watching you and Tas, wait for your videos with great anticipation 👍
You sound at one with your machine Adrian well done - if it ain’t broke don’t break it! Sorry about the double wine fiasco! And thank yo7 for such kind words - all the best!
Hi Alex. As a tester on the Deus II also a Deus user. Things will change ie tones, programs. Also the Deus (I call it the Deus as opposed to Deus 1) there will be more updates over time on the Deus. The Deus II is early days and will progress. I really like your content which is very pleasant to watch. Also I’ve posted the vids on my Facebook group. Keep up the awesome work. Chris.
Cheers Chris that is very much appreciated - do you think they will keep putting out updates for the deus? I hope so... and when the II gets LITE i will probably fall for one £££ allowing! Hope all well and thanks for watching.
@@HolzHammerSagas 100% Alain at XP has always said the Deus will constantly evolve. Just because the Deus II is out doesn’t mean the Original Deus has died. The Deus II Lite will be called WS6 master but I’ll call it Lite, infact I use mine is Lite format. I’ll say this not because I’m testing and apart of Regtons you’ll need to go over your old ground to listen to those deep squeaks as I’ve been doing this with some very good effects. The Deus would of got the signals but would be very challenging to gain the trust to dig.
@@HolzHammerSagas sorry to keep on lol. Don’t forget Deus II general mode uses Audio response 4and hot 9 is 3. That can make all the difference. So if cath didn’t change hers that’s why hers sounded louder.
Great video you have confirmed my thoughts when I used a deus two very very little in it almost shocking a bit ,all the hype but it’s not what I was expecting anyways that’s just me
I think you hit the nail on the head - I was expecting a bit more, but then again they aren't magic machines metal detectors so maybe we were expecting too much..? Anyway, Hope all well!
@@HolzHammerSagas yea I think your correct I think I may have been expecting a bit too much I think the technology has reached a summit great video as always stay safe
I have to say it but I think your channel has become the best metal detecting channel on RUclips. The music selection is so good here and so well presented. Its a joy to watch and a joy to see your channel blossoming. Oh and did I or did I not see a Regtons advert in 1 of your videos?!?
Gareth coming from you that is high praise indeed! 🙏Much much appreciated. Much as love Regtons i haven't any arrangement with them yet... Hope all well! I'll email you soon!
Ha! I wouldn't put you off - but maybe spend your money on something else for the time being esp as you haven't had the deus that long... takes a lot of getting used to... stick with it you are doing well enough with it and will do even better! Hope all well!
Hi Alexander, I've Just found your channel and I'm loving the content and the arrangements of your videos. I love the cutaways to you in your study giving some data on the find you've just made in the field. I'm using the Equinox 800 so not bothered too much about the machine, its you, Tasci and the finds that make your content special. They're just so relaxing to watch, thank you.
Thanks Stephen thats really good to hear - makes all the effort worthwhile when i read things like that - hope all well and thanks for watching - All the B, Alexander
Thanks to both of you for the great videos. Still waiting for my Deus 2 to arrive in the US. Can't wait to scrub some ground with it. Terry Greenway (Columbia, Tennessee USA) P.S. love the shenanigans of the little dog. I wish I still had half that much energy.
Hi Terry - it seems a lot of people are waiting everywhere at the moment! And i wish i had as much enerfy as Tasci too!!!! Hope all well in Tennessee - I have heard of the weather... it was on the news here...hope you are all ok! All the Best, Alexander
Superb conclusion Alex and well done to your very special guest Cath, once again Alex it’s been so very honest and real (for want of better words) which I’m sure everyone can relate to , many thanks to you both…and of course it’ was great to see the thoroughly entertaining Tasci at his best 🤗 My take away from this is that I would agree with your D2 findings in depth / clarity and from my perspective I think can wait for however long it takes for the hype (and possible marketing ploys) to die down and a nice price drop before thinking about parting with my beloved D1.👍
I am going to wait for the hype to die down too and my beloved Deus is staying with me for a while yet as well! thanks as always for watching and commenting Gary - much appreciated! Hope all well!
Another good video Alex . I do agree the Deus 1 is a very good detector . The Deus 2 I am looking forward to try out when I get one. Nice to see Cath out detecting. Len
Thanks Len - she was very good company and a good detectorist! Hope all well and thanks as always for watching and your kind words! All the Best, Alexander
A really well done video, credit to you both. Deeper signals definitely more enhanced on the D2 but D1 did not miss much, I have said this before but it would have been interesting if you had upped the audio response from 3 on the D1 as a comparison, the HOT program in factory settings was never meant to be a deep program but did do exceptionally well, concentration and attention to signal detail is key with D1.
Hi Dan - I don't think I can up the audio response on the LITE set up... probably the only thing i really could do with having the remote... but I can still hear those wispy signals so doesn't matter too much! And I cant use deep with the LITE as that is a nightmare giving out rubbish like coke and some iron as good signals as there is no screen to help with the ID... anyway enough complaining from me! Thanks for watching and hope all well!
It was really interesting hearing how different the machines sounded. Glad you found that Henry III, but my favorite was the buckle. Never seen one like that. Tasci must have totally exhausted himself. Great colab Alex and Cath!
it is a lovely buckle in lovely condition and the roller still intact and "rolling"... it is very sinilair to this one if you want to take a look finds.org.uk/database/artefacts/record/id/751978 Hope all well and that its warming up a bit!!!!
@@HolzHammerSagas Such a unique design! Yes, power stayed on and we kept toasty. Unhappy pets but that can't be helped. Worse part this morning is the high winds blowing that frosty air! The frozen water in the birdbath is piled up on one end. Never seen that before! Unhappy dogs are due to having to wear coats outside. Fastest pee breaks you have ever seen! LOL
@@fiberotter It was just on the news here this morning the weather in Texas - photos of the snow and ice its incredible who would believe it?! Hope you are all safe and sound! x
@@HolzHammerSagas The sun is out, which means it's dangerous to walk under trees or roof overhangs. I don't want to get impaled by an icicle falling two stories. LOL Meanwhile, hoping the massive dent in my truck roof can be popped out after that limb fell on it. At least it didn't poke through to the interior. Getting pleasantly warm out. Best news is no power outages like last year. May be minor ones here and there but not on the statewide scale.
Thanks for the great comparison! I have the Deus but I’d love to get the Deus 2 as well! There seems to be a supply problem at the moment as they’re still out of stock it seems. The Deus is a great detector and so compact that I can carry it around easily in my rucksack without anyone even realising. As I’ve just discovered your channel, I’m catching up watching your earlier videos. Thoroughly enjoying them! All the best and good luck with the detecting.
Thanks BCB ( I dont know your real name!) I am glad you are enjoying the videos and hang in there with your old deus til you get a new one! Hope all well!
Great comparison videos well done Alexander and Cath very interesting horses for courses wouldn't like to be digging 16 inch holes I would have to go home and lay down after 5 or 6 holes 😂😂😂😂 still a great watch cheers 👍👊🎧👊
Greetings from Australia, I’ve just found your channel and subscribed immediately! I sincerely appreciate that you explain the workings of a detector, it helps us newbies a lot. Oh, and I love your banter, delightfully entertaining! 😀🙏🏻
Enjoyed this one Alexander what a lovely lady Cath is. Well done on showing all the Deus users the comparison between the two machines. I'm still using my trusty Simplex and hopefully getting the Legend in the near future. I can then compare both machines.
Great vid again Alex most entertaining 😄. But you could have found another 3 targets in real life while Catherine was digging that deep one. Deep is great but it takes a long while to dig stuff. But what about ploughed fields? I find the deep stuff on the fields I often do are squashed drinks cans and broken plough shares. Deep can be a hinderance when most hammered coins are in the top 5 inches. So it depends on the ground you are detecting. Also in target rich areas deep detectors pick up several targets at once confusing things. In target rich and iron infested areas I turn the sensitivity down so all advantages of a deep detector are lost in that situation. I found coins with my cheap detector my other expensive detectors missed.
Deep can indeed be a hindrance I hadn't really thought about that... and finding stuff with a lesser detector is very interesting... Thanks as always for your experience in these matters! Hope all well!
@@HolzHammerSagas Hi Alex, keep em coming! And I really would like to see the result of you with the Deus1 and Catherine with the Deus 2 on the same ploughed field. I think the D2 is only going to find the odd deep target that the D1 does not find. Maybe 1 percent. But the D1 will make up for it by finding more items because you don’t need to take time digging deep. On certain permissions where the targets are deep the D2 may come good or on detected out sites but I could not see much difference on Catherine’s pasture which was interesting. But on pasture I would turn the audio response up a notch or two. I bought a Deus 1, six months ago. I think in terms of finds it could be better or certainly no worse than other detectors but lightness is also a big factor because I can detect for longer without fatigue and cover more ground per minute. I don’t have your experience on the D1 but I have not been disappointed with the results so far and it can only improve. Ideally I would like a D2 as well but I already have 6 detectors cluttering up the place. If I need a deep detector I would go for the GPX 5000 or similar but most of the decent detectors are finding hoards anyway. Tip, why not teach Tasci to dig for you and steal Catherine’s pinpointer too, that would be a fun vid👍🏻😄
What a great introduction there and editing into a great video I think the unbias opinions there were spot on and the advice given Well done both, some great finds too Love the casket key, i have a thing for those
Hi Alex , interesting to see how the two machines performed and quite an interesting outcome as regards the depth of the target's , and i see that fido was more interested in eating the flag's behind you 😁 , good review mate ATB Rob .
Personally I like a deep detecting machine which is why I would go for the 2 . As detecting gets more popular and new permissions harder to acquire going deeper will be the future. Anyway great video, Cath is lovely GL&HH
Isn't she?! My honest feeling is that I wouldn't put anyone off the deus 2 but definitely neither (yet!) can i say it is a complete gamechanger as it is not... complete being the word! Hope all well Dan - thanks as always for watching!
Thanks Alexander for the efforts....well that's proved it to me, Deus 2 has just got a higher setting of Audio response. On land it ain't worth changing to a D2. I will carry on pulling all of my historical finds with my trusty d1 with audio response a 5! Just as loud as Deus 2 then but 1500 quid cheaper!
Very good Bert! I am still to test your audio tip.. haven't been out on pasture since you told me... and i found that wee cut half at at least 9" !!!! Hope all well and thanks as always for watching!
It isn’t audio response that makes the sounds louder and gives reliable screen numbers and other info at real depth 😉. On land there are definitely benefits - I have only scratched the surface with it yet, it’ll take time to really get it singing. Saying that the original Deus is a superb machine and you’ll not be missing much with it.
Enjoyable video as ever. Alex,if i were you,i would stick with what you have and know...a cut half at nine inches says it all.Maybe in your (future old age with possible diminished hearing ) the D2 would be ticket !! I am sticking with my Deus 1,it's become another appendage that grew on me,plus i have found two treasure items,on display in museums, and which has more than paid for the initial outlay.D2 sure is a very well thought out machine and well made too, same as the D1,cheers.
Hi Edward and thanks for your thoughts - probably already obviuos but I too am very set on my Deus but will keep my eyes on the 2... well done on your treasure Items i hope you hads a good experience with the "process" don't get me started on it though as I havent! Hope all well and thanks again for your comments - all the Best, A
Well done guys really enjoyed the video. The D2 definitely enhances deep signals over the the D1 as you say Alex. At the moment the factory programs are so good it's hard to add custom programs BUT with future updates to follow it will allow user custom programs to be added. This I feel will raise the bar even more with the D2. I'm out tomorrow with Gary Blackwell on some medieval fields to see what turns up. Keep up the good work on videos. 👍
Thanks Paul - say hi to Gary and I hope you have a good day - are you filming? Hope so. I think the bar will be raised higher and higher by the 2... Cath and my comparison was not the most technical - thats hard to achieve in two short videos but it was really interesting to do and interesting for me to see how it compared in our chosen settings - P.S what do you ( and I'd love to know Gary's thoughts too) about ramping audio response if i have already lowered reativity in the HOT (LITE on pasture) -these settings work well for me but i have to concentrate . Anyway, Thanks for watching and hope all well!
@@HolzHammerSagas Hi Alex sorry a bit late replying to you. Will say Hi to him when I see him, although we had to cancel Friday rain stopped play down my way although it brighten up PM. I'm sure he'll be filming next time with technical stuff 😉 I like to keep Audio at 3 on D1 I like to get the feeling of depth especially on busy ground. I would up it on quieter ground sometimes. It's just personal preference I guess. Look forward to your next video. Keep safe. 👍
I ADORE YOUR DOG!!!!!!!!! I detect with my Pomeranian Cristo...but he needs to be tethered to my belt of he will attack any person or dog that comes near me! What kind of dog is he? I am AWAITING my Deus 2 here in America ....loved your video!
Thanks Adele, love the image of toy tethered to your feisty Pom! Tasci is a Jack Russell who loves other dogs - maybe too much as he annoys them rather...! Good Luck wit the Deus II when it arrives let me know how you get on! All the Best, alexander
Try a custom program on Deus I like the "Garrys Sonar program" Frequenzy 17 or 25 with the 11" X35 coil, and set the volum gain at ex.5, use 4 tones, where -6.4-25 with the same freq. tone and the other two tones for good targets, disec -6.4, reactivity at 2. I would start finding the deep targets with the Deus I first and then try with the Deus 2, you will be shocked when you see that the Deus 2 starts to have issues with the deepest targets......
I think if you were to run the deep program and use full tones....and adjust the audio response a bit....the original deus would give you a bit more depth on the iffy signals. Still a very good video in real world conditions!!
Thanks Tim! Not to be able to adjust the deep programme ( you cant change the tone breaks with Lite) means terrible targets (mainly coke at depth) sound ideal - its a no go programme for lite users... but i agree with what you are saying - hope you are ok over there and staying safe - will email you later but you will probably gone to bed even a night owl like you! All the B!
I've been waiting with anticipation Alex, so the Deus is still a winner.. we've just got to pay a bit more attention to the signals "listen a little closer" and perhaps dig a few more of the iffy deeper targets.. thanks Alex 😉
In my opinion that’s exactly it Dermot but there’s no doubting the deus 2 was picking up the targets more easily - I’m not sure I could do with those sounds yet though I think they’d my nerves in! Hope all well and thanks as always for watching!
@@HolzHammerSagas the square tones are too like another machine I could never listen to 😉 you know the one 😂 but on the hot or standard tones I could take to the D2 quite easily.. but for now, I'm still happy to hold on to my money.
Hi Alex, just found your channel and really appreciate the quality of your filming and editing. As a Deus user for 6 years I am or was on the verge of upgrading to D2 but am struggling to justify the outlay when seeing real world comparison videos such as yours. There is a lot of hype at the moment and the lack of supply only fuels the demand. I think i may hold off until late summer to see how it settles down and then reassess. Other than great ergonomics one has to ask what the Deus 2 has over the Nox which is considerably cheaper. The Legend will also be interesting to compare to the D2, if they ever get it to market, again at half the price. £1400 just seems expensive in comparison to these alternatives. In the meantime I'll stick the the D1 which incidentally I've just sold the control box and gone lite which i find kind of liberating!
Hi James, hope all well! I have never used, or really seen, a Nox at work though it always seems to win the Deus v Nox "battles"! And neither will I, even if £££ available, switch to the II yet - there is simply not enough in it so far... like you, and when it becomes LITE, i will wait til the hype dies down and take a view in the Summer ( just in time for the stubble! Apparently it works well "off" the ground...) The LITE is definitely more liberating and your ears will get keen! I always find I dig dodgy signals at first, esp on new land, but you soon get to know what to look out for - I honestly never ( hardly ever) dig iron or coke or thin foil unless I want to! Hope all well and thanks for watching and your views. All the Best!
It’s been really interesting to see the comparison of both machines over the same targets which does show the improvement in the 2 I’m still not sure it’s worth investing the extra money 💰 unless you wanted a new machine
Thanks DrumnDetect - much appreciated! Yep, thats the 11" x35 - got a black 9" somewhere but havent used it in ages... will checkyour channel out later - looking forward to it! Hope all well, All the Best, Alexander
Another interesting video Alex. I had a Deus for 5 years then bought the Nox 800, which I now love but would be interesting to see how the new Deus 11 performs against the Nox? Anyway thanks again for a most enjoyable watch. Keep up the good work👍
Hi just thought id drop in and offer a bit of info.... Since u use the hot program the audio response is set to 3...this is brilliant for shallow objects and distinguishing deep targets from shallow.. But as a draw back signals are quiter at depth.. U need to select the deep program 6 and change tones to full.. This will now use an audio response of 4...signals will now be alot louder.... The deus 1 is every bit as deep as the deus 2... The only plus is its waterproof really and maybe slightly better in iron but very very minimal so Little its impossible to even notice out in the field... Hope this helps
A really worthwhile vid with two experienced diggers on first and second generation machines. I have had the Deus since launch , and though it might not be as good in the field as the Equinox , it is so easy to deploy and use. Any chance of you taking over, once Johnson is thrown to the wolves? atb Pj
Thanks milsub59 - I haven't used the Nox but only hear good things about it... it always seems to win th eDeus v Nox "battles" anyway! They seem to be such different machines so each to his own! Like you i like my deus... ! Hope all well and thank you for watching!
@@HolzHammerSagas I have spoken to many users of the Deus, and pretty much all of them say that the "Nox" is a better machine.Either way, good luck is the key factor in a huge field :o)

Well what's the verdict? Will you make the switch? Unfortunately, the weather here is rather nasty. Started snowing Tuesday night, continued into Wednesday. Of course, my pharmacy was NOT delivering. I decide to catch the bus, as neared the stop (About a 3 minute walk from my rather humble abode) I noticed a train stopped on the tracks, blocking the street. The bus was due in 4 minutes.(me being the professional bus rider I am, I have an app, that tells me when the next bus will arrive.) I waited, saw my bus (#23 which turns into #13 at the main stop) ease up to the crossing arms, the lights blinking, the bells incessant clanging. A guy across the road, said "Well the last time I saw a train stopped there, it was 3 hrs before it was moved."(mind you trains pass by every half hour) I thought I'd go back home, when the train inched across the crossing. The bus arrived, as soon as I got on the bus driver, said she wasn't feeling well, & another driver would arrive shortly. Mind you the bus was due at 11:34, it was now 5 past noon. The new driver arrived, spitting out curses, & apologies for the previous drivers, obvious malfeasance. Anyway got off at the Pharmacy (Chemist) stop. Walked the 1/3 mile to the Pharmacy, through the snow drifts, the cold snow carried by the BLISTERING North wind, stung my face. Got my medicine, trudged back the 1/3 mile to the stop. Waited 10 minutes for the bus. Got home. Decided I'd do the smart thing & call a lift this morning. (Uber competitor). The driver stopped in the middle of the frozen street. I with cane in hand, attempted to get to the car door. It was 8°F here. I had to step over a stream of water, slipped on the ice. Almost did a "face plant", but my cat like agility, prevented that. Naturally I slammed my left knee, hip, & big toe, onto the street. Politely acquiesced to the robbery, called paying bills. Found out Lyft had doubled, then tripled their prices. I actually watched them change. Fortunately 2 of my fellow crime victims gave me rides, for a fair price too. (They were probably happy to have a little cash, after the ordeal "of paying the bills". So now I'm aching, all over, I will catch the bus tomorrow, buy a new can opener (as the one I had had a 7 year guarantee, lasted for 2 yrs). So more danger ahead tomorrow. I'll take my pain medication & go to bed now. How was your day Alex? Gil
My God Gil I felt your mental and physical pain throughout ... i was living your ordeal and feel quite exhausted.... I hope I have you cat like agility in my later years!!!!!! Hope you are on the mend and feeling a little happier with life! Stay safe and keep writing - I love it! All the Best, alexander

A deus Lite would suit you SS without the remote all you have is the handle and coil its a great machine and fun using just your ears its very relaxing!
it's only taken me 5 attempts and a few hours to watch this all lol. Good comparison video. the question is ......... is it conclusive enough to make you go and get a D2? all the best Alex 👍
Ha! Thanks Jason! I'm not getting one yet, no, even if i wanted to spoil myself... i think it probably is a better machine but simply not enough in it... for me anyway! Hope all well - are you finding a bit?
Hi there 7in1 - i think the deus can hold its own against the 2 under certain conditions... 2 definitely better on the beach and the audio response on deep targets in pasture seems to be greater... i haven't seen it on arable yet bit look forward to it! Hope all well - thank you for watching!
I find the same the d one sees just about all things and the D two makes me dig deeper holes, I use the d one in version 3.2 first then go through with the d two to see if I missed anything.
What a great video! Very interesting to see the difference. Well done on the cut half too, 9” is impressive to still find it! But the big question Alex, will you be getting a D2? I can’t see the difference warranting the extra money? Or does it? For me it’s been such a massive step from the simplex, but had the D2 not been brand new and with all the hype surrounding it, I might have gone for the Deus1 given the cheaper price tag. Especially after this video. I don’t regret buying it at all though! I’m really excited to learn more about it and master the settings one day! Great video, have a lovely day and top weekend!

Yes they were very clean fields thankfully... we couldn't possible do everything to challenge the two machines in two short videos I'm afraid just a simple comparison this time... hope all well Chuck - thanks for watching!
No problem - thanks for watching Shad - I am planing to do another "one year later" comparison as I still think the original deus stands up to the newer one - we will see! All the Best, Alexander
Great video ! But I fear as you only use the lite ,without the controller you aren’t getting all you can out of the deus 1 ? So maybe not quite a fair comparison 👍 only my opinion !
Hi Keith, probably not you are right but it certainly makes you "hear" better as thats all you have to rely on of that there is no doubt... and i don't have numbers or lines to distract me! But yes there are settings iI cant change its true... hope all well!
@@HolzHammerSagas you find amazing stuff ! And I enjoy your vids ! And love seeing Tasci ,it’s just in your case I think you would do as well if not better with the deus 1 handset rather than spending all that money on a deus 2 . And apart from anything WHY FIX WHAT AINT BROKE ! There aren’t many people that find such great condition and varied artefacts as you, I think you should carry on as you are 👍
@@keithhunter3499 ok I'll do a deal... I may take a second hand box to change settings but I am not using it in the field!!!! Apart from anything else if there are numbers and lines to look at and check and analyse i wont be able to switch off and daydream so easily! 😁
Hi Alex.would like to talk to you privately about some taxidermy that I think you would be interested in. I can't find any details to contact you .if you could put some up that would be great.regards dave.
Wasn't it? Hardly any signals though so we would have struggled to get a fast comparison for the testI think - but good fun - Hope all well Dave thanks for watching!
Just goes to show there's no need to spend out on a deus 2 when your deus 1 does the same job except a little depth. I've always said it's down to the ears 👂 😕
Thanks for that Walking the Fields - Nox users are forever telling me how much better they are to all other machines but I am yet to try one though am looking forward to it - hope all well
@@HolzHammerSagas I'm a deus 1 and 2 and nox user. The deus 2 is better than the one but when it comes to comparing it to the nox the nox wins because with the nox on field 1 or field 2 or beach can do it all ie deep and sensitive but with the deus 2 you have to switch programs
Unfortunately non of you seem to understand how multi frequency works, and it’s advantages on arable over a single frequency . Coming from 8 years with the deus and then 3 years equinox I can assure you I would have no interest of ever going back to single frequency . Because every find isn’t 10+ inches you seem to think the deus2 is just an expensive deus1 with bells and whistles, I’ve personally had Henry groats at a measured 11.5 inches , annular brooches deeper , Roman artefacts that the deus1 would not even register on…and remember I used the deus1 for 8 years so I know it extremely well. What I do know is I will find many good items that the old deus1 will not . When you sell your deus1 for £700, you can join us just by adding an extra £700 and reap the benefits you never knew even existed.👍🏻
The more I see of the Deus 2 the more I want one.
Great comparison...Thanks

I enjoyed your video. I sold my MKI and acquired a MKII.Since then I have purchased another MKI as after 10 years using one I missed using the MKI machine. In fairness Iam in my 88th year and find it hard to change my set ways and preferences. Over the years My MKI Deus has been very kind to me and found me one of the worlds rarest coins. Its a case of horses for courses.Happy Hunting. Jerry.
Don’t blame you John, the original Deus does the business well enough. Digging at 88? I darn well hope I’m as lucky, keep at it and happy hunting.

Wow Alex, great Deus 'duel'!! That buckle and cut half were amazing!! Thank you. Love to Taski!!
Thanks to you John! Hope all well!

My take away from this is that I would agree with your D2 findings in depth / clarity and from my perspective I think can wait for however long it takes for the hype (and possible marketing ploys) to die down and a nice price drop before thinking about parting with my beloved D1.👍

@@HolzHammerSagas All good thank you Alexander.
Awww thank you!
@@catherinelange5109 Your very welcome.
What a great introduction there and editing into a great video
I think the unbias opinions there were spot on and the advice given
Well done both, some great finds too

Hi Alex , yes fine mate better than the weather !!

@@HolzHammerSagas yes I agree, we will see what the 2 can do in a few months time, I suspect a lot more Deus understands the way the market is going
Most interesting. 👍
Thanks Anthony - hope all well and thanks for watching!
@@HolzHammerSagas Thanks for your reply,i have to say that both my treasure processes were quite satisfactory though prior to the virus "fiasco".
Thanks
Excellent information. I won't have to sell a kidney now. I will keep my Deus 1 a bit longer. Many thanks.
Ha! Very good Robert! Thanks as always for watching - hope all well!
Great comparison between the two I’m pretty new to the Deus 1 but will stick with it for now still turns up the goodies
it sure does turn up the goodies! No harm in sticking to it at all i am! Hope all well Beep dig Splosh!

I think that’s right… thanks Mark - hope all well!

Another interesting video Alex. I had a Deus for 5 years then bought the Nox 800, which I now love but would be interesting to see how the new Deus 11 performs against the Nox? Anyway thanks again for a most enjoyable watch. Keep up the good work👍
Thanks Bodger, as always your comments are much appreciated! - thank you very much for watching - hope all well!
just fab loved it i like when 2 different detectors are are tested against one and other,
Thank you very much Tom, it was good fun to make that and almost 2 years down the line I've actually gone and got a Deus 2.... 😬 😁 hope all well!
looking forward to your thought on the 2 thinking of one for Christmas @@HolzHammerSagas
Cast key, nice 13th century buckle, henry III coin.. good day..
Thanks Malaysia Metal Detector - they were very nice things to find! Hope all well and thank you for watching! All the Best, Alexander
@@HolzHammerSagas you re welcome Alexander 😉
Hi just thought id drop in and offer a bit of info.... Since u use the hot program the audio response is set to 3...this is brilliant for shallow objects and distinguishing deep targets from shallow.. But as a draw back signals are quiter at depth.. U need to select the deep program 6 and change tones to full.. This will now use an audio response of 4...signals will now be alot louder.... The deus 1 is every bit as deep as the deus 2... The only plus is its waterproof really and maybe slightly better in iron but very very minimal so Little its impossible to even notice out in the field... Hope this helps
Thanks Anthony that’s very helpful of you much appreciated , all the Best, Alexander
another great video & review, thanks for your time to create a video ;) I emailed you btw chap. happy hunting
Got it thanks - sorry not to reply I will in the morning - hope all well and thanks for watching!
@@HolzHammerSagas no worries buddy ;)
@@milsub59 sure is - thanks milsub!
Another interesting video. Still love my Deus 1. Like a previous comment, had mine for four years and feel ive just got the hang of it🤭. Might get the Deus 11 one day. Good to see Tasc out again. Love the buckle. Xx
I might get it too one day but like you I love my old trusty one! Hope all well Amanda and thanks as always for watching!
Thanks for sharing you 2 👍an interesting video 😊unfortunately I just sold my Deus 1 lol 😂 so I have to make it work better and find more 😉I’m currently experimenting with a tweaked fast program as I want to find small hammered coins at depth so 🤞I enjoyed watching
Thanks Peter - i hope you have success - I am sure you will - thanks for watching - hope al well!
The same with the Kruzer my friend. Not much difference in depth but better on the IDs with the Deus 2 so you would dig more
Good Stuff thanks Nathaniel - hope all well!
Cool to see you both comparing signals.
The crows calling reminded me of late 70's t.v. show "The Ghosts of Motley Hall" Now who can tell me the connection between that show and metal detecting ? 😉
Ha! I cant though at my age i should recall it!!!! I will look it up now! Thanks for watching Steve, hope all well!
I accidentally removed your reply… sorry - but good knowledge I didn’t know Toby Jones’s father also an actor… I think Toby is one of our best living ones …. Top 5 probably - maybe higher! Hope all well and thanks for that!
@@HolzHammerSagas No worries Alexander, yes Toby is top notch, comedy, period and even quality American accent ! Yes all well here in Ontario but for bitter temps ( -20c) and a lot of snow, still watching your vids will keep us going till Spring thaw lets us detect ( did do successful wedding ring recovery recently that was lost in deep snow though).Hope you guys well too 😉
Great hunt honest opinions just proves if your at one with your machine then hype means nothing and why waste money. Right to say don't sell your machines yet but each to their own. Nice finds too. Good luck on your next hunt 🍀👍
Each to their own indeed , well said Jesse - thanks - on the next hunt i have neither Cath not Tasci so probably no viewers either!!! 😁Hope all well - stay safe!
@@HolzHammerSagas you will always have viewers great videos and finds and well presented about time these companies let you try the Deus two like others but good luck
@@jessestone3915 i thought about that - maybe they are worried i would be too truthful! 😂 most i have seen who are representing Deus II ( apart from the obvious) are hardly experienced Deus users! Maybe Im just being jealous! All the Best
I use my diving Excalibur II on fields as well. And actually i really like it. And i get some workout changing my arms every now and then. I am really curious if I miss something with it.
interesting about the excalibuir - is it made mainly for underwater? Sounds heavy! Hope all well benjamin - thanks for watching!
@@HolzHammerSagas Yes its quite heavy and for underwater. Looks like i loose depth but i still find a lot and very tiny things and love the analogue sound.
I have alot of detectors and soon will be upgrading again and wanted to buy the deus 2 although I do prefer not to look at a screen all the time so after this comparison video I think I'll definitely go with the deus lite
well you can pick one up quite cheaply now... and they certainly hold there own against the newer model - hope all well!
Looks like both machines were working very well.. love to see hammered coins come out of the ground. Well done.
Thanks Daniel!
one day i hope to be lucky enough to try the deus model...ive had 4 back proceedures,,, ( 3 operations) and a round of nerve denervation.....so i could really benefit from the lighter machine. i currently use minelab 600 which has been brilliant in regards of finds but it a tad heavy.
@@HolzHammerSagas got an video banked. was on a new permission but not much off it really. I think all the good stuff is on fields that are planted 😔
@@TheDarkKnightDetectorist i know tell me about it....
The verdict is : deus 1 is almost as good as deus 2?
Hi there 7in1 - i think the deus can hold its own against the 2 under certain conditions... 2 definitely better on the beach and the audio response on deep targets in pasture seems to be greater... i haven't seen it on arable yet bit look forward to it! Hope all well - thank you for watching!
I find the same the d one sees just about all things and the D two makes me dig deeper holes, I use the d one in version 3.2 first then go through with the d two to see if I missed anything.
interesting Russ - thank you for that... I am still only on the Deus I but will prob have to move on eventually.. Hope all well!
Hi Tom - wont be getting it just yet - not while i feel the deus has enough to give me ! Definitely don't regret buying it is the latest XP and will only get better and better.. i do prefer the audio of the original that I must say... hope you have a good weekend and mange to find a bit!All the B!
@@HolzHammerSagas I had a lovely day out today! I won’t spoil the surprise but next weeks video will contain an epic coin!! All the best and have a nice weekend!
Very dramatic intro... I like it! :) So, are you getting the Deus Deuce now?
Ha! Thanks Sir Jon! Not yet no !!!! Hope everything OK over there and Happy Anniversary btw!
@@HolzHammerSagas Thank you, one week and four days, and I'm still married! ;) Hope all is well with you and Tasci, looking forward to watch your next adventure!
Your fields were quite clean. The Deus 2 is supposed to discriminate bottle caps and foil better.
Yes they were very clean fields thankfully... we couldn't possible do everything to challenge the two machines in two short videos I'm afraid just a simple comparison this time... hope all well Chuck - thanks for watching!
Excellent thank you.

Hi Dave - if you wouldn't mind emailing me info@avwantiques.com thanks i look forward to getting it! Hope all well
chasing all those flags down and killing them is hardwork, enjoyed the vid 2nd field much better.
Wasn't it? Hardly any signals though so we would have struggled to get a fast comparison for the testI think - but good fun - Hope all well Dave thanks for watching!
U forgot close ups?
I think i said that in the video - i certainly put some text in to that effect but thanks for letting me know all the same Con Ken , hope all well.
Hell I wish I could afford one
Me neither but that doesn't matter the deus I is still a brilliant machine so i don't need the new one yet! All the Best, Alexander
@@HolzHammerSagas hope to upgrade one day
Just goes to show there's no need to spend out on a deus 2 when your deus 1 does the same job except a little depth. I've always said it's down to the ears 👂 😕
Yep, I agree - and it does sound a lot nicer!!!! I'm sticking with mine for the time being! Hope all well Steven thanks for watching!
The deus 2 cannot mach the nox unless you keep changing programs. Xp have conned us
Thanks for that Walking the Fields - Nox users are forever telling me how much better they are to all other machines but I am yet to try one though am looking forward to it - hope all well
@@HolzHammerSagas I'm a deus 1 and 2 and nox user. The deus 2 is better than the one but when it comes to comparing it to the nox the nox wins because with the nox on field 1 or field 2 or beach can do it all ie deep and sensitive but with the deus 2 you have to switch programs
👍👍👍🎶🌸🌸

Unfortunately non of you seem to understand how multi frequency works, and it’s advantages on arable over a single frequency .
Coming from 8 years with the deus and then 3 years equinox I can assure you I would have no interest of ever going back to single frequency .
Because every find isn’t 10+ inches you seem to think the deus2 is just an expensive deus1 with bells and whistles,
I’ve personally had Henry groats at a measured 11.5 inches , annular brooches deeper , Roman artefacts that the deus1 would not even register on…and remember I used the deus1 for 8 years so I know it extremely well.
What I do know is I will find many good items that the old deus1 will not .
When you sell your deus1 for £700, you can join us just by adding an extra £700 and reap the benefits you never knew even existed.👍🏻
Well done Ghost!
