I have brought one recently and I am over the moon with it. For the money nothing comes near it and if you can get over badge snobbery because let's be truthful nobody really gives a flying fig what you drive, it's makes for great around workhorse which is comfortable and has enough performance and mine returns 43 mpg every week with city and motorway driving.
Where did you bring it from?
@@italianjob4947they brought it home from the car dealer presumably, when they bought it 😂
hi, is it a lud car? I plan t get one and maybe sound-proof it.
I just bought a duster techroad in fusion red, 2019 with 18,000 miles for £12700, seller robbed themselves!!! What's better is, I bought it to replace a Tesla 😂 zero regrets, far more comfortable, practical, spacious, unassuming, doesn't attract hate, has room for a full size spare wheel!! Not to mention being the techroad it has a bit more interesting interior highlights than the rest of them
Great to hear you're happy with your switch Dan. You can't beat a bit of back-basics sometimes.
Absolutely!!
Got one and I love it. Really good car for the price.
Lane assist is one of the worst thing i have expirianced. The jerking of steering wheel is so unnatural i belive it could make more damage than good🤦🏻♂️
This car alone has sold in Europe in 13 years, 2 generations over 2,2 MILLION times. Europeans love cheap, affordable and reliable cars such the Duster. And, MADE IN ROMANIA 🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
The 4X4 versions of the Dacia Duster are so common in Romania.
Had mine since 2019, cannot go wrong. Love these cars, looking to buy another soon.
I have a Duster Journey 1.3 bought new in May. Amazing car for the price, easy to drive, good petrol consumption and lots of extras included that I would have paid an arm and a leg for with Audi.
You give very good reviews. I like them a lot. Thanks 😊
We pick up the extreme 4x4 diesel next week. Ordered in March and only just arriving in U.K. although not the same price as other makes it isn’t that cheap anymore.
Best car I have owned three years with not a single issue. People are starting to notice how good these cars are. Tried and tested tech is better than fancy rubbish that let's you down.
I like it all, except those vulgar wheels. Dusters look best with steel wheels, which are very likely, lighter.
Dacia have been here once before. We used those for War Games / exercises . Robust, faithful machines. Dacia first rocked upo in UK in early 1980,s.
Have had a Journey model since March 2023 and can’t believe what good value it was and what extras you get on it compared to my bmw 1 series - 360 cameras, folding wing mirrors, heated seats, apple car play, free updates on sat nav etc. We get around 44 mpg, have a 3 year warranty on it , got 2 free annual services with deal we got and have had 1 issue with it when a leak in the coolant system occurred. All in all though it’s a great car , cost circa £19000 and glad we bought it .
I have one of these right now as a hire car. Its a 1.0lt 3cyl 2WD version on a 24plate. Pretty high spec with auto climate control, 4x electric windows, Sat-Nav like the one in the video but the driving experience is shocking. 1st gear is pointless unless your trying to do a hill start on a 1in3 hill. It revs far to high & quickly & when you move to 2nd gear getting a smooth change is impossible. When you lift off the throttle when approaching traffic lights or roundabout the throttle reduces as with other vehicles then just shuts off completely & the vehicle shudders & shunts unless you dip the clutch. One other thing I noticed there is an ECO switch. The vehicle always starts in what could only be called 'Sport Mode' until you press the ECO switch, other vehicles start in ECO & you have to select Sport. This reduces some of the stuff listed above but in ECO mode you find your shifting gear more often as any medium steep hill will kill any forward motion very quickly. Best I can give it is a 6/10 & that's only because of the standard kit you get.
Good Car, Made in Europe, ❤
I think it is made in China.
its made in romania actually@@Nat_Ryder
@@Nat_Ryder Duster is made in Romania, Mioveni.
Just bought a 2019 Duster 1.6 prestige. Really pleased with it.
good video but I thought the Extreme was the highest spec.
Would have liked to see how seats folded and what luggage area that gave. Also fuel consumption figures, whether there was an autobox option, was there a diesel option etc
Great video, we just bought one. Please say DACIA not DASHIA 🤣🤣
I was under the impression that the extreme version had copper trim inside as well as the pillars in the middle of the side windows has the same design as the wheels or am I thinking of a different car. Good vid though
Apparently there's differences with the Extreme and Extreme SE, between the 2022 and 2023 versions, this was the time they replaced the prestige with the journey, and replaced the comfort with the expression
I've thought about Dacia - but has really bad EU safety rating which no one seems to be talking about here???
Hey Lilly, thank you for your comment. Tish here. Over the years NCAP testing has got stricter and stricter and extremely expensive. Many of the cars not performing so well now, would have flown through a few years ago. We are confident that the Dacia Duster is a safe car however, we are confident that the latest model due this year will come with more safety features which will increase the score.
Good car ,not so sure about dealer supplier
Parts shortage nightmare
Are they sold in U S A? Probably stupid question.😐
Sorry for the americans, no 😂😂 in fact, I don't know if I should cry for pitty for you, o what. This car alone has sold in Europe in 13 years, 2 generations over 2,2 MILLION times. Europeans love cheap, affordable and reliable cars such the Duster. And, MADE IN ROMANIA 🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🇷🇴🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
i bought one yeasterday and get full option and 1,5diesel engine 6gear for 23,000e.. I was looking toward new model, but turned me down becayse no diesel version so i pass 2024 model.. Now 1 month wait untill garage get car ready with new numberplates 👍👍👍 Im wery happy owner..
Dashya?
u get a radio lol
used too call these the dacia dustbin back in the day lol
I have a mk1 Citroen Berlingo 1.6 petrol. It is a superb utilitarian vehicle. It is 17 yrs old drives like new, quiet, comfortable, ride like an e class 38mpg. Borrowed by family and friends to move stuff. When and if my car is scrap, this is exactly what I will be looking for. I hired one on Spain a few years ago and was pleasantly surprised. The car buying public are changing to needing useable economical transport not German penis extensions. If they still made mk 1 berlingos I would buy tomorrow. I still think they could design a much better looking body.
I own a late 2019 1.3 turbo petrol mid-range model and I find the road holding good on country lanes, fuel economy is good and there is more than enough kit to keep you not wanting more. All this fuss about hard scratchy plastics - so what! They're just easy, wipe clean! The Duster isn't a cheap car - other cars are just over expensive.
Wish Dacia would have bi-fuel automatic models. I like the idea of LPG even though the list of retailers selling it is shrinking rapidly but i do not want to go back to a manual transmission. I do like Dacia's honestly with LPG, on their website they admit the MPG takes a 25% hit using LPG over petrol while other sites claim it is only 15-20% loss. Well done Dacia.
I'd love to have you too on this journey 😂
Good for you if you don't care about the badge/brand but driving a cheapo car like this horrible thing would be chore.
Would you find driving a cheapo car difficult
@@Whizzy-jx3qe lucky to be able to afford any car these days
@@Danny-qq5nr And here lies the problem, diesel and petrol isn’t getting any cheaper also car maintenance. My recent service Renault Capture for MOT £220 plus £72 for new front tyre including wheel alignment, needless to say not to bad. EVs imported into uk will incur a 10% increase (tariff) due to Brexit.
You obviously haven’t driven one . I had a 1.5 diesel 4 wheel drive / diff lock , cruise control , hill descent , Apple car play 2020 model and I loved it . Very smooth ride and lovely light steering . Would power through mucky ground with diff lock on
@@Ken-sh8vr I have had several diesel cars from Espace,my current car Renault Capture is eco diesel. I prefer diesel to petrol. What does piss me off is government puts the date back by five yrs to 2035. Also introducing VED for all including EVs, my current car is except but that’s going to change by 2024. Also they are proposing to increase fuel duty.
Doesn't make it any better cos you dress it in new clothes
Dacia never tried to hide what they are
Still looks like a Lego..
1.0 litre engine straining and slogging its guts out to drag all that bulk along and thats before you load the thing up or try and tow anything and not to mention its ugly fat rear end like a huge overgrown horses arse 😂😂😂😂 definitely no thankyou !! I'll stick with
My XC90.
An XC90 is for plebs , I'll stick with my Bently Bentayga and my Bugatti Veyron
XC90service costs. Been in my neighbours like a tractor awfuldiesel engine
Volvo ,overated, unreliable, expensive to fix. Crap
Xc90 are shit
what a shame its so ugly and looks very cheap under the hood and the mechanical stuff :S
