I'm not even a boy Gojira fan but putting FFDP above literally any of these other bands is lunacy. This is one of those times Finn couldn't control his inner edgelord
Lamb of God is the band that got me into screaming vocals. Before I heard them, whenever I heard kids at my school play Deathcore/death metal I thought it was just mindless screaming and couldn’t understand why people liked it. LoG is the best that eased in me into more harsh vocals.
They did that for me as well. I think a lot of people, myself included, didn’t like the vocals because “you can’t even understand what they’re saying”. But with Randy, he’s so clear and easy to understand I couldn’t make that my excuse anymore lol. But it “trained” my ear to get into heavier stuff for sure when I was a kid
Just remember to view screaming vocals as another instrument like a guitar and don’t focus on what he’s trying to say, makes listening to death metal a lot easier if you just focus on the brutality of gutturals and screams

I was taking hits like a champ with Finn saying that Power Metal is terrible and Dragonforce is the best band in the genre and then with him putting Gojira in C, but then when he arrived at 5FDP and put them in S I remembered "Oh, yes, this is a Finn tierlist, why am I taking this so seriously?" 🤣🤣 Great video man! Keep em coming!
Finn: metal is so serious and unhealthy so much of the time. i just want some good pg music with uplifting lyrics that's fun and catchy *power metal exists* Finn: no, not like that only half kidding

It's the broiest bro metal that has ever bro'd metal, and I still just can't get behind the music itself. I guess to each their own, but S teir is crazy to me.

I couldn't get into the first three records of Cattle Decapitation. But they started taking off exponentially in a musical level thanks to Dave McGraw from The Harvest Floor up to this present day. Not to mention how Travis Ryan started doing those goblin singing and tunnel throat vocals in that album onwards.
Finn must have been seeing a good therapist or using betterhelp because he has been more open about his impressive metal nerd side and I've gotten some awesome recs from his content. I didn't know the faceless's discography was strong, need to check out
