- COMCEN aka UGHQ was based for a periods inside Portsdown Hill during the war and served during a few more cold war crisis in later years. Now it is an airsoft arena with spooky tunnels and a military feel to the construction.

Superb explore, surprising what they built under there, would have been interesting to see how it looked before everything was stripped out, btw in the introduction you forgot to mention Fort Widley! Visible from my HQ!

This is great, my family goes back in Pompey 500 years and my dad has been in many of the tunnels, bunkers and forts in his jobs in the military, fire service and government. As a teen we used to drive around wishing we had the bollocks to get in these places but never did... thanks so much for this!

another great explore well done there is a couple of things that I have noticed recently when you go on an explore it is becoming commonplace to have a group of people all with filming devices so it seems that anyone with a go pro iPhone in fact anything that records take the restaurant near Romsey it was a crowd of people all wandering around a diralect restaurant with cameras it was better when it was you only filming not whole herds of people filming at the same time. also, I noticed new regulations for drone filming and usage came out Jan 1 will that affect you i hope not because your drone footage is 1st rate and would miss it. I am just concerned that technically if it was shot without permission as in nat trust sites could they stop you posting it on youtube. regards paul a fan

I worked on a few COMCEN installations myself when I was with the RAF ... many now closed like the big deep Bunker at Pitrievie Castle near Rosyth which housed 81SU North, HQ FOSNI ..sadly the bunker is now totally inaccessible after all the entrances were destroyed by the RE a who blew up the entrances and landscaped the surface and built houses on top real shame... I had a cracking up shot looking up a WRNS skirt whilst running some fibre optic cable under a false floor. Plenty of WRAF upskirt moments too in the RAF Comcen ...

7:54 explore the toilet... did he find any Jazz Mags in there ? Usually all good military installations had a secret supply of pornographic literature, often best stored in the bog where the humidity was about right and where the light was good... well that’s usually was my job in the bunkers I worked at.... I’ll call a taxi...... hahah

VacantHaven unlike at the Beertasgarten in Germany where Hitlers secret stash of horny jazz mags were believed to have been secreted away after the war, if the US and the Russians had each got hold of just one jazz mag, it would have kicked off WWIII!
