  • I've finally made up my mind as I share my thoughts on the North Sea exhaust system and why I went with this system. The first row of plywood on the port side nears completion.

    My thoughts were to create the through hull flange on the end of the fiberglass tube and slide it in from the outside, the tube could then be long enough to reach a position where you can fit rubber tubing from it to the Tee fitting?

      Yes, I've contemplated that option too. I'm worried about making the flange to tube connection strong enough in fibgerglass. That's why I considered stainless steel, just making the stub inside the boat long enough to reach it. I might be over thinking it, it is the simplest solution to the problem and may well be plenty strong.
