Living on Immokalee east of Collier makes for a very convenient life. All of my needs are located between Immokolee/Vanderbilt & Collier/41. Vanderbilt beach is straight 9 miles down Vanderbilt Road, Also, I looked for five years and couldn’t find a property right for me - until - i decided to go a bit east. Wow, beautiful new places with lots of amenities. It was so great to look at clean open floor plans that were bright and new! No brown speckled granite. But alas, prices have run up, over two years doubling in some cases. I got in right under the wire.
The new neighborhoods in that area have brought new businesses, making it much more convenient to live there. And it is still a more affordable area, but not for long as more people discover it.
Hey Steve. I have had prices in past videos and originally I was going to have them in this video. Home prices are up 20% this year across the board in Collier County, so so the prices get outdated so fast. Here is a link to all of the home prices of properties for sale right now. bit.ly/SearchN
I live in the golden gate estates. It used to be a lot more rural, but now people are always shooting guns. I heard a bullet whiz in front of me and splash in the canal while I was fishing. Scary experience.
Micheal, Waterways is a lovely community with well-maintained homes. The community is close to the new Founder's Square Shopping Center which has a wide variety of restaurants. Their amenities include a fitness/gym room, tennis, and a pool. Hi Beata, it seems safe, but nowhere is crime free. You can always search for a crime map of the area to learn more about a specific area or neighborhood.
Thank you for the input. I try and keep the videos short and get in as much information as possible, so I apologize if the video moved too fast. Let me know if there was a specific area you would like more information on. I have more video on certain areas.
I'm thinking of moving my parents to the isles of collier preserve, but I saw that huge alligator video (roaming around houses, I think last year). Is this something my 70s California parents will be worried about outside their home? That looked pretty scary, like it could just park outside your house and be there when you walk out. I want them to live in that beach, canal area. Are gators a problem there? How often do you see them??
You will find alligators in fresh water, so many golf courses have gators and you can see them swimming. It is very rare to encounter one close up. In the 18 years I have been here, I have seen two run across the road. If you live by the beach and there is no fresh water around, I doubt you will ever see one.
Lived here for over 30 years. Seen a bunch, but never encountered one. They are not aggressive generally and like to be left alone. Not a concern at all.
Ummm, this is Florida. If you want to be in Southern Florida you are miles from the Everglades. Alligators really arent a problem but they are here, this is their home. Florida is wonderfully all about Nature. Beautiful Florida trees, flowers, plants, birds, and yes retiles. Miami is sterile, city, less Nature, but southern Florida, perhaps they would want there
@@LaurieRoseREALTORNaplesFL Hmm. I noticed none of these are in the video. I guess there really aren't affordable neighborhoods for middle income. I didn't see any that have a high school rating better than a 4/10.

Bet the WOFO’s are wishing they were further east after Hurricane Ian. Curious to see what happens now…is further east more desirable after the hurricane?
I feel there will be many people who would rather live a bit further east after Hurricane Ian. But there will always be people wanting to live at the beach.
@@LaurieRoseREALTORNaplesFL that’s very true! Was curious if there was much water/wind damage just east of 41 & south of Vanderbilt Beach Rd? (Just to south of Mercato)

crime is rampant everywhere, but great video!
Great video for basics. Maybe do a video on some of the different developments.
I am working on more neighborhood tours.
Very helpful, thanks.
Thanks for your positive feedback. Reach out if you have any questions about Naples.
Thanks Laurie! Great video 😊I’m trying to figure out where Hardee Street, Naples is?
East Naples off of Tamiami Trail E. The neighborhood is called Naples Manor. Mostly small older houses and a lot of rentals.
We live in North Naples. A few minutes from the beach and still very reasonably priced.
Nice to hear we are planning to buy a house in Naples
How much is the price about 🙏
@@sofiarevenco6885 We purchased in 2019 for 200K in the Wiggins Lake/Bay area. Minutes from Vanderbilt beach

How is Vineyards? Good, bad, etc? For someone who doesn’t play golf, enjoys privacy, but still appreciates manicured community grounds.
The Vineyards is very nice. The golf club is optional, so you won't have to join if you don't play.
