    I've watched thousands of RUclips videos and never commented. I can only give one thumbs up, but if possible, I'd give ten. This video showed me precisely what I needed to do, saving me both time and money. Thank you so much for posting it!

    Really helpful video thank you. Turned out it was the ballast that was faulty on mine, Kia wanted £800 for a replacement!!... got one on the internet for £30, works perfectly now. :) Also just a warning on 1.19 where the four screws are removed, if it looks like it's not budging, don't force it. check either end and you might find like I did, a screw either side, tucked underneath screwed to the front grill, undo these and it will pop out easily. My car is a 2014 version.

      Hey, thanks a lot and I'm very happy that it helped you and that everything works. Thanks for the tip it could also be because I have a 2012 with an old grill and I have exchanged it for a facelift aftermarket grill.

    Im not paying my mechanic enough. This looks ..ha ha.. simple enough, given that he has every special tool and technique and that nothing broke or snapped off along the way. More importantly, everything went back the way it should. Take my money, Mr. Mechanic, Youre doing just fine,

    i couldnt take the part off at 01:36 so i was scared of pulling to hard off and that something might break

    • @Turboladerschaden
      @Turboladerschaden  7 месяцев назад

      the part does not necessarily have to be removed, it is sufficient if the 4 screws are removed. you just have to be able to bend the radiator grille a little

    thank you. the stealership charges around $600 when the bulb itself costs around $60. i wouldn't mid paying $200 but $600 is a rip off.

      Hello, I must be very sorry to hear that. I have just searched the internet for a part number but unfortunately I couldn't find anything. I am sorry. I would perhaps ask a Kia dealer if they can order this part.
      best regards

    Hello, is it possible to do this without removing the headlight?

    I have a Kia Sportage 2014, I have halogen projector headlights but can you fit LEDs to these projectors or is it only Halogens? Anyone done this or know. Thanks

    • @Turboladerschaden
      @Turboladerschaden  Месяц назад

      @@GavstarLeo Hey, I've already done this on many other cars. The holder for the LED must actually fit and the dust cover must then still fit on it. Unfortunately, I can't say what it looks like on the sportage

      @Turboladerschaden Okay thank you, very little information online regarding this as well. Like I say mine are the halogen projectors, but would a HID or LED bulb in a halogen projector cause any damage to the lens or are they perfectly fine to use 🙂

    • @Turboladerschaden
      @Turboladerschaden  Месяц назад

      @@GavstarLeo So there should be no damage. You can actually convert any headlight to LED. The problem is usually the large heat sink that has to fit and that you sometimes need adapters for the mounting.

    Hi, do you really need to disconnect the battery as wont this reset everything? My kia has the navigation system in it so would it lose all the installed addresses. Could you just wait for 12 hours and do it without putting keys in ignition or switching lights on the day after letting it stand overnight or wouldnt this work. Thankyou 👍

    • @Turboladerschaden
      @Turboladerschaden  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hi, no, the battery does not necessarily have to be disconnected. I just chose the safest option for the video.

      @Turboladerschaden Thankyou for the reply, was just worried about getting a shock and wondered if this is why you disconnected the battery but also don't fancy having the nav system reset. Thankyou and thanks for sharing the video.

      @@leejenkinson5882 Don't worry, you unplug the headlight before removing it, so nothing can really happen 😉
