Friedrich Schiller (1759-1805)
Die Klage, sie wecket die Toten nicht auf;

Her technical skills are beyond imagination next to her voicing 💯👌🏻and goodness that Bosendorfer sounds SWEET 🙏
SCHUBERT, if only you can see how many people enjoyed and are going to enjoy your music all over the world for generations to come. Your music is distinctively 'SCHUBERT' and no other composer's music sounds like yours. Thank you Mr SCHUBERT for leaving us so many wonderful compositions for us to enjoy.
Lets not forget Liszt 😉
The person on your crew who keeps the piano so shiny deserves a Grammy Award of his own. Mine gets covered with fingerprints.
I know you wrote this looong time ago, but it just came to my mind that Lisitsa recently recorded practice sessions on a rather old and beaten piano which even had some difficulty to stay in tune! You still would enjoy this video - but more because it is very instructive. :) Search for Valentina Lisitsa practicing Beethoven op.2
You play Schubert divinely ! So so beautiful it make me cry, how it is possible to do so delicate melodies which touch the soul.
I want learn this , but Liszt is difficult .
I d'nt why this piece is not more looked at.
You must put it again .
The lightness which she plays is outstanding! :)
You're legend Valentina!
Cheers from Brazil :)
The lower register on the piano is to die for. Great playing as always!
Happy Birthday Valentina!
And thank you so much for many wonderful hours watching you and listening to your playing.
ВОСХИТИТЕЛЬНО-ГРУСТНО ИСПОЛНЕНО,!
БРАВО!
Valentina, you have become a legend in your own time. You are an inspiration, to all artists everywhere. When I see and hear you perform, you are, to quote a song, "Sunshine on a cloudy day". Your playing of Rachmaninoff's Prelude in g minor, and Grieg's piano concerto, brought tears of joy to my heart. I hope someday to see you doing a performance in my hometown, Boston, Massachusetts. Bravo.
My favorite song too!!! Schubert/Liszt/Lisitsa, THANKS!!!
Bravo. The best. I've listened to this more than 1000 times. Hope I could play this next year.
Flowing, effortless playing that weaves a dark, romantic enchantment in the mind of the listener, as it rises to a passionate climax and finally subsides once again into darkness.
Valentina never disappoints. In my opinion, she is one of the very best of our time. I can get lost in her playing for hours :-)

Да!Да!Да! Но есть ещё и Valentina Igoshina! Наверное Валентина - счастливое имя для пианистки! :-)
Vladamir! Yes, there is also Valentina Igoshina and she is amazing! She is the more passionate of the two. I LOVE her version of Chopin's Op. 28 No. 15....just beautiful and my favorite of all the pieces she plays.
Whenever listening to a piece played by Valentina I'm fascinated. I sit in front of the screen listening hours and hours, piece by piece. I do not know what impresses me more, musicality? virtuosity?, dancing hands as a silk in the wind? ... It's a unique feeling that I can not describe ...
for me it's the way she plays, so good and yet, so effortless, like she is just enjoying it inmensly!
Silk in the wind... Monsieur, vous êtes un poète!
Absolutely stunning. Beyond beautiful. You are a true virtuoso and not many can even touch your level of talent. You are an inspiration to me and carry yourself with such amazing grace!
Valentina Lisitsa, I do love your interpretation! I'll struggle to play like you did! THANK YOU!!!
i would love to learn this. pure perfection :)
Magnifique Valentina! Bravo!
i always admire your passion for piano performance, and appreciate you that performed us essential point of piano music.
After a decade or two or ten..the world won't remember any of the singers of today, but instead, they will be talking about how great the piano music is...as it proved its immortality in the past 6 centuries [so far], they will also be talking about how Valentina Lisitsa is one talented and gifted pianist [and what's more special, a woman] and how today's pianists especially her are inspiring us and reviving the classical piano music for more decades and centuries, Thank you Valentina Lisitsa.
Genial. Just jenial. Fantastic. I am speechless.

It's the best question ever, and Valentina give the best answer :) I can't wait ! That will be so wonderful and perfect !
I have heard the piano play the part of an organ, a harp, even an entire orchestra, but this is the first time I've heard it play the part of a heart-broken maid.

In case anyone listens to a vocal version, the lyrics posted are from the original poem; Schubert only used the 1st, 2nd and fourth stanzas in this setting of the poem (his 2nd
or three).
Magnifique

Dear Gods, I wish I knew just a little about music so that could understand why this sounds so beautiful. Anyway, congratulations and thank you!
Valentina, I need you to answer this please.
According to your website, you play in Wigmore Hall, London, the 14th of April. But, you don't appear at the 14th of April in Wigmore's Hall events calendar.
What's wrong? If you'll play there, when will tickets be available to buy?
Regards
(please, like this so she can see it!)
