  • Foreign firms, workers, and investors are attracted to Qatar because of its thriving economy. Obtaining the necessary visas and permits for all of your employees will require familiarizing yourself with the immigration process if your company intends to expand operations to Qatar.
Following the recent amendments introduced by the Government on the Labor Law, the issue of residence and work permits has become easier and simpler in the State of Qatar, which protects all rights of the two working parties equally. As a result, your family is welcome to live with you in Qatar. In the meantime, your wife can register with the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs' Recruitment Department in Qatar in order to work here.

Hello i am a native qatari and would like to bring someone from europe to live in an apartment with me, what do they need exactly to live permanently in qatar with me? Do they really need to find an apartment or can i simply let them live with me? Do they really need to be fluent in arabic or can i help them in situations when they need to use arabic?
Also another thing; when one obtains a work visa that lasts 4-6 years, when it expires is the person going to be deported or can they validate it again/make another one?

If you are a Qatari native and wish to bring someone from Europe to live with you in Qatar, they must get a residence permission. According to the new law governing the issuance of Permanent Residency Permits, which went into effect on September 4th, 2018, applicants must have lived in Qatar for a minimum of 10 years if born in Qatar or 20 years if born elsewhere, be fluent in Arabic, and be free of criminal convictions. This residence permit provides its users with a variety of services and privileges, such as the ability to apply for a driver's license or a health card.
If the individual is living with you, they will not need to get their own place. They must, however, be able to establish that they have a genuine source of income. Furthermore, if the individual does not speak Arabic fluently, you may be able to assist them in some instances, although this is not needed.
When a work visa expires after 4-6 years, the individual is not deported automatically. However, if they want to continue in Qatar after their work visa expires, they must apply for a new work visa or a permanent residency card.

To secure a job in Qatar while in your home country, it's essential to begin with meticulous preparation. Gather all necessary documents, such as your passport, academic certificates, and professional credentials. Search for job opportunities through online job portals, networking, and contacting recruitment agencies that specialize in international placements. Tailor your resume and cover letter for each application. If you are shortlisted, be ready for interviews, often conducted via video or phone. Once you secure a job offer, your employer will usually assist with the work visa process. It's crucial to ensure compliance with Qatari labor laws, understand the local culture, and plan your relocation effectively to make a successful transition to working in Qatar.
