This is an amazing speed run of my favorite childhood game. I have one question though. Can you explain how the scooter bike is able to be that speedy, and is it only in the Japanese version?
The community calls it a "spin dash" and most stars can do it but the scooter gets the best effect out of it. It has something to do with spinning on certain walls at a 45 degree angle that causes the game to want to push kirby away, but holding the scooters charge (A button) wont let the game push you, so it just gives you crazy speed instead. it works on all versions of the game (i believe), it just works easier on Japans version because all the stars are lighter and therefore they move faster and lose speed less quickly.
