- Installing your car seat correctly is critical to keep your kids safe in the event of a crash. Here's a quick overview on how to adjust the harness straps and install your Evenflo Sonus car seat in rear-facing mode using the vehicle seatbelt.
Sonus limits for rear-facing:
5-40 pounds
19-40 inches
Make sure child is within both the height and weight limits, and use the car seat in rear-facing mode until your child outgrows either the height or weight, and is at least 2 years old.

Thank you for this! I struggled for 45 minutes in the hot sun, then enlisted the help of my MIL and SIL. We were doing right, just didn't trust ourselves.
As a first time father thank you for helping me!

So glad to hear! Are there other types of car seat videos you would find helpful?
Do you happen to know at what weight your baby needs to be to turn the carseat forward?
For the Evenflo Sonus car seat, the baby has to be AT LEAST 22lbs, 28 in, AND 2 years old before they can ride in the seat facing forward. However that leaves a lot of grey area where the seat can be used either forward- or rear -facing, and the safest way to use the seat is rear-facing. So instead of rushing to turn the seat around as soon as you can, I would urge you to keep your child facing the rear until they reach either 40 pounds or 40 inches, whichever comes first. There's no maximum age for fear-facing, so many parents are able to keep their kids rear-facing until even 4 years old or so!
@@megan.hackworth thank you sooooo much I really really appreciate it and you!!!!
