Perfect explanation and instruction! You should be a representative for Evenflo or any other manufacturer. Your video is by far more informative than any other video I've seen and I love that it is straight to the point. Thank you for taking the time to create this!
Very helpful, thx! Just bought this cheapy of a car seat and never thought to pull the latch strap back through the belt path to tighten it- so much better!
Truly helpful! Thank you very much! The manual is not that clear, I did not know why my seat was floating so much. Your tutorial helped a lot! Thx again! 😊
Thankful I found this video I was wondering what I was doing wrong I didn't know it could float like that I spent a while trying to figure out what I did wrong
Thank you so much for this video! Huge help! I have a question about the height limits for the front straps for rear facing. My daughter is quite petite so only 20 pounds at 21 months so still rear facing. We tried this seat today for the first time and she kept saying “tight” so I think the straps were bugging her (I hadn’t even tightened them yet). You mention to only use that first (bottom) row of the upper section strap slots for a taller kid in rear facing. What height would be safe to use those slots? Thanks in advance!!
Firstly, sorry this is such a late reply. You can use the highest of the slots that are designated for rear-facing until the child outgrows the seat it rear-facing mode. If you are in doubt at all, reach out to Evenflo's parentlink, their customer service is quite good!
Thank you for this awesome video! Could you please let me know why we should not yank the back of the seat or where the leg rest is? We found if we yank the top of the seat it moves SOOO much and wouldn’t that be so dangerous for the child?
A car seat needs to not move at the point that it is secured to the vehicle, just like how a tree doesn't move at its roots but it's normal for the top of the tree to move.
Can you please do front face too , my toddler is 2 years old and tall . I need help with front facing as his neck doesn’t seem to be comfortable when he is asleep in car
She used only the lower anchor attachments (part of the LATCH system). They are an alternative to the seatbelt, not to be used together. If you use the seatbelt instead of LATCH, you need to be sure that you read your vehicle owner's manual to understand your seatbelt's locking mechanism to secure the car seat.
Do you need to cut the white plastic tether that’s on the anchor connection strap? It seems to pull the strap too much when trying to secure it in the rear-facing position.
The latch under the seat is that to have the Carseat more inclined? I have the same seat but the person who installed it didn’t put up the latch and I feel when my baby sleeps her head flops because the seat is upright where I feel like if it’s inclined she’ll have more of a laying down position which I would feel like she’ll be more comfy
If you are using the Sonus in rear-facing mode, you MUST have the rear-facing foot out and the seat must be installed at the correct angle; the line etched on the side needs to be parallel with the ground.
@carseatcubs we somehow lost the rear facing foot for our seat. Can it be used without and just use a pool noodle or do you know where we can buy a replacement? Thanks.
it might only be on one side and etched into the plastic on the side (in the video she has green painters tape so that it’s easier to see on camera but on the actual seat it should be there. It’s hard to see.
Recently bought this. I installed it and did the movement secureness test but I pushed on the base and up on the headrest. On the base there was barely any movement but on the headrest one push had the car seat tilting over very easily. Is this still considered secure? I know you said not to push on there but I already did and was shocked to see how easily it can be moved when pushing from the top
I honestly can't give an answer without seeing it, but the correct place to check for movement is at the belt path as I show and as shown in the manual. When in doubt meet a CPST and/or contact customer service
If you are able to install this seat in a position with lower anchors, it's an easier installation. I don't have a video showing the vehicle seat belt but you will find instructions in your manual!
Thank you so much ! There’s no reason why any car seat should be this difficult to assemble !
How many single dads are as grateful for this as I am lol. 😂 Thanks for the help.
Thank you so much! The instructions are so hard to understand! But your video makes it so much easier! 😄

Thank you! Great video! Great help! 💕
I don’t have a Velcro strap???
If sold in Canada, the Sonus will and must have the velcro strap.
Thank you so much for making this video, I don't know what I would have done without it ❤

Did you use the actual car seat belt (seat belt of your van) to secure the car seat or just the harness straps?
She used only the lower anchor attachments (part of the LATCH system). They are an alternative to the seatbelt, not to be used together. If you use the seatbelt instead of LATCH, you need to be sure that you read your vehicle owner's manual to understand your seatbelt's locking mechanism to secure the car seat.
Awesome you’re a beautiful mommy
Do you need to cut the white plastic tether that’s on the anchor connection strap? It seems to pull the strap too much when trying to secure it in the rear-facing position.
Hi Darcie. Absolutely not, it's required to remain in place. Its purpose is to make sure the UAS strap is never separated from the seat.
@@carseatcubs my friends child recently cut this. Is still able to use it with the seatbelt? Or the anchor still?

I bought this seat and it squeaks so much when my child moves can I remove the styrofoam or is that not an option ?
You absolutely cannot remove any of the foam in the seat. My best advice is to contact Evenflo customer service for advice.
the Sonos I bought does not have the leveling indicator.

Have you figure out a solution? I have the same problem and it tilts so easily.
What about seabelt ?

Ours doesn't have a velcro strap or mention one in the manual?
The Velcro is only for Canadian versions oddly.

Trash car seat. Instructions are wack, doesn’t feel secure at all. DO NOT BUY. Got a different brand and it was much easier Evenflo is trash.
Thank you
