Amber Romance is good for a more mature, sophisticated lady and it smells a little Woody/floral compared to Velvet Petals which is totally sweet. I think a guy would be more likely to compliment Velvet Petals since it smells very feminine but if you want something that stands apart from all of the feminine smelling fragrances, you could go for Amber Romance, you might even get compliments since Amber Romance has a unique fragrance signature.
