- In this video we're going to answer a common Facebook marketing question:
Facebook PAGE vs Facebook GROUP? Which one do you need in order to quickly grow your business?
The Facebook page vs Facebook group debate has been going on for a long time now, but some changes have happened to the Facebook platform that impact the answer to this question.
Depending on the stage of business you're at, you likely do NOT need a Facebook page AND a Facebook group.
Watch this video to see which one fits your business best...
Plus, I'll share a trick for combining the powers of Facebook pages with Facebook groups - this works really well if you've already started a Facebook page and group for your business.

I am just starting to use Facebook for my coaching business. I started a page but I do not have a group-considering starting one. My question is, once you link your business page to your group-do the people in the group see your posts on your page in their feed (business and/or personal profile)? Thanks. Just found you, your videos are helpful.
Good question. No, group members only see content from your group... that's why I focus on my profile and group content and don't use pages at all.
Ok. So the major value of connecting the page to the group is being able to ask followers if they want to join my group. I do not want to use my profile page. Only have a small number of family and friends. I want to keep my business posts separate from my family. I created a group and put all of my colleagues on my personal page in that group so I could post only to them since they friended me. As an aside, in a couple of videos a few months ago Gary V was suggesting to put some focus on pages again. He said they had so to speak gone out of style but are coming back again. Any thoughts? Meanwhile, thanks for your response earlier.@@YunaPRO
Awsome job with your structure and delivery in this video. Good info helped a lot.
Thanks, Ty. Glad it was helpful :)
Thank you so much Dave, this was really helpful
My pleasure. Glad it was useful, Emmanuel :)
🔥🔥🔥🙏🏾. Never knew the difference. Thank you
My pleasure. Hope this was useful :)
I'm a mobile Dj what do you recommend to use to grow my business
🎉 Great explanation! Thank you!
Glad it was clear, Ashley. Are you choosing to use a Page or a Group for your business?
Very helpful to a question I a have been trying to solve!
Glad it helped!
Thanks! Next question - should the group be public or private?
Hey John, personally, I always make private groups - I find it keeps them more niched and avoids a lot of spam.
Excellent video. Thank you.
Glad it was helpful!
Made my day ❤ much much needed .
Quality video and information ... thanks! Question: What is (or is there) the difference between a facebook "group" page and a "business" page?
Good question. Here's a video that describes the differences between a page and a group: ruclips.net/video/wIJZY2qKfEc/видео.html
@@YunaPRO Thanks. I watched the video. My question is are there two different kinds of "pages" (a group page or a business page) are they the same in that they are both "pages" and different from your "personal" page or account. Or are there in fact three different kinds of pages (personal, group and business).
@@discreteservices1479 - there are 3 different types of places/accounts on FB: 1) Your personal profile 2) a group 3) a business page -- I know it can be a bit confusing :)
Great stuff. I have a page and I want to start a paid membership. Can I do that with a group?
Yeah, you'd definitely want a group for that :)
So is it better post on my page or profile for my business?
Great question, Yvonne. Here's where I break down the pros/cons of pages vs. profiles: ruclips.net/video/zhRW04I9AAQ/видео.html -- it'll be clear after you watch this :)
Hi Dave! Thanks for the info! When you mentioned about linking a group to your business page, you mean ONLY your group page or any group?
Hey Ed, I believe FB will only allow you to link a group and a business page IF you are the admin of both. So yes, just your own group + page.
Please, whats the benefit of linking the both together. Versus only using one of the options?
Hi. Which is better. Create a group as a page or create a group as a personal profile. Is there a difference since the personal profile is the base for advertising?
It doesn't really matter, but definitely engage in the group using your profile
Quick question, how does someone without any product of their own use this to sell?
Good question. There are so many options - sell a service, an affiliate product, a product that you will deliver in the future, education, the list goes on. So much opportunity!
Im thinking of promoting local offers from local business owners.
Would a page be better or group?
My end goal is to get paid from these business owners for me to promote their offers on my page/group
A business page is best if you're going to run paid ads
Thank you!!
My pleasure. Hope this was helpful :)
Great video. Can you post the same content on your page and group?
Hey Nadege, yes, you can do that - Just don't expect to get a ton of engagement on your page posts (unless you're paying for ads)
Is it OK to post business posts to your personal profile? I see some people who do that and I don’t know if it is authorized by Facebook.
I have a page and a group, and I know that my page content doesn’t really get seen. But I also don’t post very often either. This is some thing I want to improve. What I do is share my posts from my page to my personal profile to get a little more reach. Any thoughts?
The FB Audience repair domain link appears to be dead - takes me to Godaddy - is it still available as a product?
It's actually been replaced by the YunaPRO software :)
Okay, I went to my page and tried to link my group, but when I got to more and then clicked on the group, I didn't see the “link group.” I've done it multiple times and still don't see it 😬😢
Hmmm, I'm not sure exactly what you're seeing, but I wouldn't stress about it. The important thing is to know which you're going to be using primarily: your page or your group :)
same issue... click on Groups and just scrolls up to your page heading...
same issue. when I click more, groups, there's just no option to add a group. the page is bare with no link capability. if anyone has info on this it would be greatly appreciated!
But when you take the time to start posting great info on your Page, will you then have to be redundant when it comes to your Group and sort of re-post a lot of the same content? Seems like it would be a lot of work to create more original material?
Well, the type of content that works really well in FB groups is often different from the type of content that is typically used on business pages. However, you could re-post inside your group to see if members engage. You'd just have to test it.
i have already linked a fb page to my group and arranged posts in the group as guides. my question is if i change that page to a new page, will those guides be deleted from my group? ( i want to change the page because the current page is having some issues)
Once you create posts in your group, they won't be removed unless an admin deletes them.
@@YunaPRO earlier I had an experience like when I deleted a page, the guides created by that page in my group also got deleted. I attached a new page and created the guides again
Can you create a tag line to get so people can tag your group in there post at all
I'm not 100% sure what you're asking, but the @everyone tag will tag all group members. You can also use @groupname (i.e. enter the name of your group) and that will tag all active members.
With Facebook moving all settings around again I can see how to link my Facebook page and group together ???
does your yunaPro program include the fbaudiencerepair?
Hey Garreck, good question. Yes, YunaPRO includes all of our tools and strategies :)
@@YunaPRO can I talk to u via messenger? Had a quick question...
@@garrecksakinis - sure thing. Hit me up here: facebook.com/dave.smith.coach
If you have a Facebook page, can people who have ":liked" that page -- can they also post on that page, or is that only in groups?
Sure, business pages are public so anyone can post (unless the owner turns off commenting/posting)
I can’t find link group
Sorry about that
You want to run one too?
Thanks... You made my day.
Nice. Have a great day :)

sir my boss is tell grow organic way to facebook page and group what to do please give strategy
As mentioned in this video, organic marketing doesn't really work for Facebook pages any longer - Facebook wants pages to pay for ads in order for your content to be seen.
As for Facebook groups, check this out: ruclips.net/video/e9A7SGaV0mU/видео.html
Can i just create a private fb group and setup paid promotion to grow it?
FB has recently added that option to many groups
@@YunaPRO great thanks. Ill look for it. I thought you only can promote fb business pages
