What nobody understands is the the original Barry died at that moment. He travel back in time just a few seconds to stop himself from time traveling. That made it where there was 2 Flash. The original flash became a time remnant because he is no longer meant to exist for stopping himself from the time travel. In a way both are the real flash but Barry still died.

it's crazy how this scene foreshadowed Crisis on Infinite Earths and i think i know how it went in the original crisis in 2024, So my theory is that Barry created a time remnant to battle Thawne and go back to that night while the real Barry died saving the multiverse.

Well savitar was created after flash crested Flashpoint and restored back to it Reginald timeliness but different. Plus if zoom didn't kill Henry Allen, it would not have drove Barry to create Flashpoint and svaitar to manifest. So it didn't feel like proper defeat. Feels that zoom has fulfil his goal. To turn Barry into a monster like himself.

Time remnants always confused me because thawne and Cisco proved in S2 that the past remnants have to exist and do their part or else the timeline is altered so isn’t a time remnant death or altered timeline a paradox. Sure Barry knew that the Zoom would be the number one target for the time wraiths, but with flashpoint and Savitar on the horizon he was nowhere near done changing the timeline. In fact , if Savitar won, he’d still be doing it till he locked Savitar in the speed force(future him) cause he’d create time remnants again that Savitar would kill, except past him.
