      RAIN RIDING & WASHING IT PLEASE?

    • @E_bikeDad
      @E_bikeDad  4 дня назад

      @@MF-cq9hs I’m not sure when it’s gonna rain next where I live, but I’ll try to do a video in the rain. I’m not sure if it’s gonna be something that you can watch if the rain is hitting my camera, but I’ll try. As far as washing the bike, I have two different methods. I’ll be making a video into the week next week on that. But if you need to wash it now, remove the battery do a light rinse and then I would wash it with special soup not just any dish soap because you don’t want it tearing up the bike. I use a special soap that’s for dirt bikes. But when it’s not super dirty as in mud cake on it if it’s just spots here and there buy you a waterless car wash or bike wash and use that. I just bought the muck off kit for E bikes that’s what I will be using in my video when I wash it.

    Thanks for making a really great video. My bike is due to show up here one week from today. I got it on Amazon. I was going to get the extended warranty for 2 years but I started checking into it and it just seemed like it was from a different company and I didn't think I trusted it. So hopefully I won't have a problem. I checked the other day I still could get the warranty but I don't think I really want to mess with it.

    You are correct about the light mount. Also know that there is no voltage step down for the head light, it runs at full battery voltage. The headlight actually sucks because it projects a small tight square of light out front, there is no spillover to help see the edges of the road. So if you want to replace the headlight with a 12v model like I did, you will have to get a voltage stepdown. I mounted the step down inside the frame neck where all the wiring connectors are, plenty of room there.

    • @E_bikeDad
      @E_bikeDad  3 месяца назад

      thanks for that info I'm probably going to do that cause the light does have a tight square beam.

    • @randallhack4477
      @randallhack4477 29 дней назад +1

      This may not be for everybody but I solved the headlight issue by buying a $30 flashlight and flashlight mount for my bikes which I can easily move from bike to bike. Mine uses 2 26650 batteries and is 2000 lumens which is adequate for headlight purposes. $30 on Amazon and you have a great multipurpose light which works better than any headlight I have ever seen and actually casts a nice adjustable round beam. I do a ton of night riding because I Commute to work every day via ebike and work 7-7 so I'm literally riding in the dark both ways. If you get 2 of these flashlights you have even better light plus a backup in case you're having issues with one of them. And still spending less than a dedicated headlight for your bike.

    • @E_bikeDad
      @E_bikeDad  3 месяца назад

      Awesome I’m glad you like it with the knobs on the tires if you turn at a certain angle and you’re giving it power, it will lose grip if it was a street tire you would have more area that would stay gripping the street. These off road tires with a lean the knobs on the end actually start bouncing the back tire and it slides a little. When you have some speed, and you’re turning with a good bit of lean on the bike.

    • @E_bikeDad
      @E_bikeDad  3 месяца назад +1

      @@joshfosho I think it has enough to wheelie, but not as easy as the bigger bikes. You definitely have to help it with a good preload. The problem is as the battery declines. You definitely don’t have the energy to get that front wheel up. I’m working on my next edit where I did a full rundown. You seen that video I talk about how the front end won’t come up at about the 50% mark. if you’re looking for something to go little faster and have a little more power than a regular bike that everyone else has also kind of cool. This is a good one. But if you want the range with the bigger one. I got this one because it can paddle under its own power in my state if eBay goes over 28 it’s considered a moped by law. You don’t have to get a motorcycle license, but you have to get a moped tag which is basically a small license plate. But mine can operate with petals. It falls in Gray area.

      I’ve seen a lot of stuff on the Internet Internet, not this bike in particular but we’re just talking electric bikes in general and I’ve seen a Suran go through a creek three times and still operate. I’d say if it starts raining while you’re riding, you might be OK. Worry about the battery connection at the bottom because this bike has the battery connection on the bottom instead of the top. Most of the other batteries have a connection on the top and that’s where I think you would get a short. I’m not brave enough to ride in the rain. I did get caught when it was raining and I just pulled under a gas station cover once it stopped. I took off riding again.

      @@burn1gotbeatsI'm thinking of 56 along with swapping out the derailleur with a clutch

    It looks too small for you

      I am actually the shortest height required for this bike. It goes from 5 foot 7 to 6 foot 4 I believe. It doesn’t work like a dirtbike think about it more like a mountain bike. If you’re comparing it to a mountain bike bike is actually a little big for a mountain bike. Yes it is small for me with dirtbike standards but it’s just about right with mountain bike standards. Maybe it’s because it has 19 inch rims that it looks small.
