I noticed not a single training partner stuff khamzat head or used a cross face to stop him, they either held a body lock, or try to pick an ankle. When we cut to khamzat, first thing he does is cross face his training partner and reverse him. I wonder if they're not using cross face, or stuffing his head on purpose? personally in these scrambles, stuffing the head or cross facing your opponent is the correct play.
before anyone says I'm a casual, I wrestled too okay. Wrestled for 8 years during school.
Idk I feel like khamzat wouldn't had escaped if his training partner cross faced him or stuffed his head. In the first clip, right there had his training partner cross faced khamzat, he wouldn't had finished that single leg. You can see a clear difference in skill gap, the fact that none of his 3 training partners tried to manipulate khamzat head position, shows he's not wrestling to his level.
edit: nvm i just realized these are teenagers and he's doing a seminar of some sort. Okay I was wrong, these aren't his training partners, just teenagers.
edit 2: wtf they have beards, these aren't teenagers.. idk anymore forget it
