Bravo !
Wonderful performance ! Jan Dysmas Zelenka tender music is magnified by Collegium 1704 !
In these sad 2020’ days, it’s a tremendous gift to our hearts. Thank you everybody who work on this video!!
Now that the pandemic is waning I look back at these performances by Collegium 1704 and realize how important they were. As so many have said a light shining in a dark world. Thank you Collegium 1704.
Bravo !!!!!
Thank you for reminding us all [here is still a hope and a future through those who don't give up and by the way. The sound of Collegium 1704 is as beautiful as ever.... Thank you all so much!
So much beauty... Thank you ladies and gentlemen.
Enormous respect for this ensemble
Complimenti!
Nádherné
THANK YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing.
That Stabat Mater was a tough one!
Great music and video recording- Thank You Coll.1704!
the Scarlatti Stabat is wonderful,i cry every time hear that!
It's still gorgeous--masks and all. How wonderful. Thank you. Thank you. Dekuju dobre.
Thanks for this gorgeous performance. Bravo!
Beautiful music. Thank you for this uplifting piece.
Somehow the masks add more drama and seriousness to this already gorgeous expressive performance and say to the world "In spite of it all, here is beauty going forward in these times." I also had a listen/look at the Lamenta hello ninfa that was recorded in the same manner, again I really appreciate the drama of the staging the masks. Who says you need to see faces to hear the emotion and expression and sheer brilliance of these fine performers!
Bill gates and his sheeple say it, it seems.
Personally I like (almost everyone) to see the performer's expression of joy, not plastic that will be littered on the street and contribute to the extinction of animals (land/water) and humans alike for the illusion of safety....
Vaclav Luks, the (shadow) master! 🐲
16:02: Does it say MATER (mother) on the wall? Spooky... yet cool.
Scarlatti D's _Stabat Mater_ is new to me. Thank you! 💐💐💐
Donald Pratt If memory serves, it was commissioned by the same outfit in Naples that would later give us Pergolesi's more famous Stabat Mater.
Maravilloso. Geniales. Emocionante siempre Caldara ......
BRAVISSIMO
Incredible sound ... with facemasks on
Espectacular.
This wonderful chorus is out of this world, and outclassing
This performance is unrivaled by any other performances
A. Caldara / Zelenka - Mass in B Minor, "Matris dolorosae" - 00:00
D. Scarlatti - Stabat Mater - 21:59
I love this performance. Lovely done.
Magnifique ! Bravo !
Nemůžu se dočkat vašich koncertů ve VZLETu. Jste nej!
How are they all able to expose such clear and powerful voices when wearing masks which obviously counteract the movements of mouths and chins as well as breathtaking (?).Wonderful acheivement.
Merci !
Meravigliosi!!
Znak czasu... Piękne wykonanie!
Ja, so geht es auch. Mir fehlen die Konzerte von Euch!!!
SUBLIME!! MAGNIFICO!!
Lindíssimo!
0:00 : Antonio Caldara (1670-1736) / Jan Dismas Zelenka (1679-1745), Missa Matris dolorosae.
22:00 : Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757), Stabat Mater.
Many thanks for this incredible performance!! Unfortunately, I wasn't able to hear your concerts when I was in Prague in March for my Erasmus semester, because I had to leave the city only after two or three weeks to return to France because of the pandemic... But I would be delighted to hear you in Toulouse (France), where I live, or in Belgium, where I'll spent my second year of Erasmus from September onwards, or in Prague when I will one day vist this city again, or in Dresden (half of my family lives in Germany, so I also have to visit this city!)! ;)
Vielen Dank !
It would be great if manufacture of mask was identified so that others may evaluate and buy
překrásný , škoda roškoéry , avšak ani to Vám nic na divu nevzalo
questa mascherata mi stizzisce.
The mass is undoubtedly composed by Caldara. Of Kyrie 1 we have the autograph manuscript of 1695 (if I am not mistaken it is the oldest surviving autograph manuscript of Caldara) A-Wgm A 325. Other copies of this mass, mostly in parts, in addition to that of Dresden, are kept in various libraries of which I list the main ones:
CZ-Pak 201
A-HE II/3
A-HE II/8
CZ-Bm A 18.587
CZ-Pkriz XXXVI A52
CZ-Pkriz XXXV D180
CZ-Pkriz XXXVI A24
PL-Wu RM 4230/10
A-Wn HK 193
The latter is particularly important because it was probably used by Caldara to direct.
Bravo!

Nice work, Collegium 1704!
A question: what's the deal with the attribution of the Missa Matris dolorosa(e?) to Caldara **and** Zelenka? What music is by which composer? I have not found any useful information via Google. :-(
My best guess is the manuscript is lost and the copy is found only in Zelenka's Inventarium. There are a few masses in the Inventarium that are pasticcios (e.g. Lotti's Missa Sapientiae) in which Zelenka would put together individual mass movements as a "complete" mass and name it for easier use(as is the case in M. Sapientiae, which is actually a set of separate mass movements by Lotti collected in the Inventarium and named by Zelenka). It is possible it is also a pasticcio of mass parts by Caldara and Zelenka's own work (such as he had done with Missa Providentiae, using both his own and Caldara's music)
(want to add here that the odd stylistic mix that I heard in the mass makes me think it may be similar to M. Providentiae, where the original Kyrie-Gloria mass was expanded by Zelenka into a missa tota by adding music derived from the original content. The instrumentation is really similar to other Caldara masses I'm familiar with and one I don't find is common in Zelenka's masses)
After checking, it is #34 in the Inventarium.

Many thanks!
@@glowyote8987 Thanks for the exact description! Zelenka reworked Caldar, so we present the names of both composers!
What language are they singing in ?
Beautiful performance.
Bravo, bravo, da li to vidim iza maske Hanu Blažikovu?
Their masks have musical notes on them. 😁😁😁
Lamenta dello ninfa by Monteverdi. not hello!
I love the Collégium. But here, what horror !
Your reaction is a bit extreme, don't you think?
Musically it is a wonderful performance, but at the same time this pseudo-hygienic masquerade is pathetic. Can't be retouched?
Sorry but my vote is Domenico Scarlatti♥ 1,Caldara/Zelenka 0.😂in this match!!
