Why is Duane "The Rock" Johnson so amazing on SNL?
1) He is a legit good actor. He has... "It"
2) He is legit hilarious! He definitely honed his skills in the Ring at WWF/WWE. The fact that his character was allowed to Ad Lib and be funny, well, that has certainly paid off in his future.
3) He is genuinely charismatic
4) Obviously good looking
5) And I think the best thing he has going for him, the thing that really allows him to be a Great SNL Host is the fact that he has ZERO INHIBITIONS! NONE.
He seems to attack each sketch the same way... FULL OUT!
He seems to be willing to do anything the cast and the writers ask of him, and that in turn creates trust throughout the rest of the Cast.
When the SNL Cast/Regulars see that The Rock doesn't have an ego whatsoever, they can also relax and just go for it!
