Yeah, actually not a big fan of the portrait/character artwork on the character select screen. Not to say the art is bad or w/e but it's mainly just a clash of styles that doesn't work for me. I mean, if the models are that much better, then show me them instead.

the only thing i genuinely liked in MVCi was that in Devil Trigger, Dante had actual voice lines with the devil trigger voice filter rather than grunts and shit.

You might be able to downscale some of the assets and slap them back into the game but you'd have to dig up modding tools probably. The new shader makes the game a little more resource heavy than the base game. Could maybe also try rendering the game at a way lower resolution and upscaling it with something like Lossless Scaling
Probably not, not easily at least. The mod goes "on top" of the existing game, só optimization is very difficult, especially because just to add this stuff is obtuse and difficult. Unfortunately making this run better is a big challenge
Idk what ur specs are but assuming all of ur settings are already on lowest the only other option I have is to delete the story cutscenes from ur game for some extra disk space, my game was crashing constantly n turning my res scale down to 0 fixed it easily
I’m not sure. If you can drag and drop the folder just like on the steam version I don’t see why it wouldn’t work? I’m no pro on this subject but it’s worth a shot
It may not have but despite the roster not having any xmen and the visual style, it's a really fun game to play. This mod at least makes it look like an MvC game again. The balance changes are nice too.
@@ganymede4030 Yes it is fun to play. And to be honest it is more beginner friendly with only two characters to fumble around and experienced players can get lots of combos out of it. I prefer the original graphics. MVC3 was al about the comic book style. In MVCI the characters look like toy figurines which is the other side of marketing and adds up to the other game's comic book style. see how it works when you can play both games after all. I don't need every game in this franchise to look like a kid's favorite comic fever dream.

The games biggest issue was always its visuals. If they had spent more time improving on that the game would still be flourishing to this day. Hard lesson learned for sure and if theres ever a new MVC game they know what NOT to do now.

the problem with this mod......is its still the same engine and game and that was its entire problem lol. Balance wise it was fine, its the gameplay thats just not as good as umvc3
I think this entire fake praise and smiling makes it even more cringe. What Max and Co did is nothing more than your usual rom hacking and modding. People do this for such a long time. And only few fans have really dared bringing forth their own creations to show their appreciation for a franchise. Like the guys who gave us sonic Mania (even though I am not the biggest fan of it) or Mega Man Unlimited, the best fan made Mega Man game to this day. There are people creating fighting games but get ignored because theirs are just small projects. But at least they get their own games out. This Project Beyond is just a graphics hack and some thin alterations to the game play, if there are any. If all you "fans"think you are so clever, where is your fan creation? Your very own Marvel VS Capcom style fighting game. Let me see that and I believe the hype.
you are right to a degree, this is an amazing U.I. and grahical overhaul of the game to basically next gen cel shade MVCI but aside from making the soul stone activation basically premanent for both ppls there is nothing to different here. This is not on the level of say super mario rpg Armageddon for example

It's a two month hype at best. It ain't coming back.
Feel like this is more of a lateral change in many respects.
A lot of the new art is very amateurish, let's not kid ourselves.
You can't say it's not an improvement on what was there before, the new aesthetic and feel is just so much better.
