Have you "traded" for an animal?

I hate how play wild has 100+ animals and dens yet most of them are offsale most of the time, not even the tokens help for some.

If you have noticed recently, almost all animals and dens have been removed from stores, i have a prediction that animaljam is going to do an animal and den refresh..

yeah it's quite a sad sight
I'm not sure if I'm used to so many animals available all the time from classic, or that they really messed up with those multiple month super sales earlier this year, there's only 3 new animals in store right now

@@Bradstormer I fear for the state of the game because with a new animal every month (sometimes even 2 ) this problem is only going to get worse and worse as the game goes on, AJHQ needs a solution and soon. Offsale pets can at least come back at any time thanks to tokens but no such system for avatars, fab tokens are finite presets.

@@Bradstormer I remember back when I was a kid there were tons of animals in the store you could buy. I hope they do that again and do a huge sale with literally everything in stores or something.

I don’t think they should be tradable, but they should be easier to get

    • @FurryBlossoms
      @FurryBlossoms Месяц назад +2

Yeah, cause if they were tradable a LOT of scamming would go around and trading wouldn't be he same

the difference between play wild and classic is so jarring to me. i loved having all the animals in classic but it’s literally impossible to collect all of them in play wild. also releasing constant recolors instead of just returning the animal to stores is stupid

oh my yeah, I overtraded WAY to much for a rainbow galaxy dragon but the thing is, I'm happy with it. I do agree with the other points you made though, where so much isn't actually worth it. I'm glad there is a feature for seeing the randomized animals grown, as you dont have to waste a lot to just get a ugly one lol

i personally am nit a fan of the whole crystallis thing due to them being so expensive, and all the kids will be very upset if they can't afford it (if they can't trade it) which creates even less sense of equality in the game
i just think a simple unicorn or dragon is not worth the money or trouble

The random color gamble is crazy like whats gonna happen to all the unwanted color combos they ahould atelast have a way to change their colors in the future which seems like if they do it will most likely cost saps

I know this video is a month old at this point but i have an opinion and i want to drop it anyway
I think it's a shame that for a game focused on animals and education of such animals, that there's such a long time where a given animal is unavailable, even if you're willing to use 10000 sapphires on it. (which i kinda did for the raccoon and the coyote considering i paid 20 wishing coins for 2 of the yellow tokens just as they were beginning to skyrocket in price)
I started playing AJ 27 January 2024 so I don't have alot of the older animals. So older animals being rereleased is just as exciting (in some cases even more so) as new animals to me.
According to the wiki, the Camel hasn't been available in AJPW since 8 March 2020, which is over 4 years ago and was around the time Covid was just starting to explode into the world. Now imagine a hypothetical scenario where a 12 year old kid, let's call him John, starts playing Animal Jam Play Wild on 10 April 2020. Now John's favourite animal in the whole world is the Camel, and he wants to be a camel in Animal Jam so badly.
Now fast forward to 2024, John is still playing Animal Jam and the Camel is still his favourite animal. He's now 16 and is still without his camel. That's super sad to me. And sure, this is an extreme hypothetical, but my point is, 4 years is way too long between animal releases. The opossum is my favourite animal and I was able to get it within a few days of playing. It's now no longer available for who knows how long? What if I lose my account? Will I have to wait 4 years to get the opossum again? Will I have to spend real money to get it like with the throwback bundles?
I feel like all animals (or at least the non-special pattern variants) should be available without spending real world currency at least once a year. I think a better solution would be, all base variants (i.e. not pumpkin spice flying fox etc.) of non-fantasy/dino animals are be permanently available for sapphires, say, for 1000 sapphires, and then throughout the year, the different animals are put on a discount to the same price they're sold for now with some of the more iconic animals like the arctic wolf, eagle and raccoon being permanently discounted. The T-Rex and Parasaur should be added to the loot tables of the normal Appondale eggs.
That way, if someone really, really wants a certain animal, they can still save for and buy it. And I feel like if someone can get their favourite animal early on, they might feel more attached to their character and thus, Animal Jam, especially if the starter animals aren't their vibe. Also, some of the animals that haven't been available for years aren't very well known (or liked) animals and could use all the positive media attention they can get.
I'm not sure what to think of dens, they should absolutely be available more often but i personally don't care as much about dens as animals, which are the focus of the game anyway.
Sorry about the essay/ramble, I tend to do that when i'm passionate about something :P

Thanks for the video brad! Love all your theories, etc. I feel that animals are getting too expensive and out of hand. I've started to find myself just getting rainbow pets at this point instead of collecting animials.

I actually traded to get a unicorn from someone who was looking for a certain item that I can’t remember, but usually when I have a unicorn, I don’t really trade them often, and I’m very careful with WHAT unicorns I trade because some of them are actually reserved for my friends that play on the same account as me. And, all of our avatars are color coded.
