You are a rolling stone yet keep very good company when you pause to talk to someone other than camera. Great edits keep your friends from being self conscious. Great work brother. Carry on. I'll be in Turkey late November. We'll be in same place some day.😊
Serifos look pretty! I have been there in 1987 for two days. I slept on the beach and I don't remember very much about. I like your friend Sterling and I enjoyed your trick with the camera. I would go to Koufonissi, because it's my all time fav, but any greek island in October it's amazing. Kalò Taxidi!
I’m totally speculating from context clues but I get the feeling that Sterling has played with your heart over the years but you still have a lot of love for her. I remember a few videos ago, back in the US, you mentioned having visited Sterling and her new boyfriend. And it sounded like maybe she’s had a few new boyfriends over the years. She’s obviously still a very pretty girl but probably wants someone who lives closer to home. The travel life is incredibly hard on the love life. I get it. We also don’t hear much about this topic on the channel. You guys do look good together though! ❤
Gabriel the room behind the icons in the Eastern Orthodox church, usually only men can enter. The altar portion behind the iconostasis, is a sacred place where preparation of communion and other rituals take place. Churches in Greece were open in the good old days, but since some of them were vandalised they are not available to the public now. Greetings from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia
I'm getting so envious Gabriel, for reason or another we've not had our Greek fix holiday this year 😮 The smaller Islands the better for us, just like Serifos.
It all looks like the beautiful blue and white colours typical of the Greek Islands. Enjoy your time in Greece, Stirling, with Gabriel. I noticed many chemtrails in the sky, sadly.
I was in Greece for the last couple of weeks. I was told most churches are privately owned by families. Used on special occasions. There aren’t enough priests for all the churches.
I'd say Ano Koufonisi. If you go in a few months the islands will be completely dead in the middle of winter and weather will be cool, possibly cloudy and rainy but also possible to have warm sunny days. You will have the beaches and towns to yourself and prices will be low.
It's not worth it. It will be almost snowing at that time. Yes it snows. Yes in greek islands. And yes even if we live in the climate change times it still snowing. Of course it's not an everyday occur but it's not worth the hassle to come over.
There is confession in Greek Orthodox Church. There are no boxes to hide, you confess your sins, face to face,to the priest, inside the church. You cannot hide your face as in Catholic Church.
They make confessions in the Greek Orthodox church. But it is in a private room inside the church. It is not like in the catholic and protestant church where the priest and the individual don't see each other
The small church is used for.. funerals. As its right next to the cemetery. Same applies for the bell - that is rung when there is a funeral service. If you ring that some of the village grandma's are going to be mighty confused about whats going on ;)
Hey Gabriel, nice to meet you. I'm a greek and I will tell you why, if you read my message, the town is on the top of hill side. Yes, it is the original town and the one below is new for tourists. We built them up high for protection from pirates. If we saw them below then it gave us time to protect our families and defend. We also have hard to find trails with small stone structures in distant areas where we farm, also caves.
@@konstantinosstamatopoulos425 Correct but also, many Greeks are living overseas and when they come home the want to both invest and be closer to the beach. No one wanted to build down there before and now its nice. I'm sure you see it on many islands. This island has no trees and looks like a waste. It looks like they were very poor and were only living to fish.

Hi Gabriel , you've been on a lot of greek islands. Can you please make a top based on forests tracks available,or trees cover? I've just returned from a 5 day trip to Zakynthos and did a lot of walking and was surprised to find very nice walking roads through hilly olive plantations and pine forests that I did not expect from videos (is usually shipreck beach and other rocky beaches) . I've apreciated also Corfu and Skyathos for their shaded pathways between beaches. But not much info on smaller islands without airport. Safe travells!
The hill-top chora of Serifos looks SO similar to the one of Ios, how they're perched almost like snow capping a mountain top. Even the view from above to the port is very similar. How do you rate Serifos amongst other Cycladic islands? It's very high on my list :)
Friend of mine just got back from Foligandros. Said the restaurant prices were very high and groceries were at least double what one would pay in Athens. Of course, being from Canada, we get to add 40% or so to get to what it would be in USD, thanks to Trudeau's insane economic policies.
