Just subbed. I was just thinking how sweet that would be for my amp. Gonna have to dig into this and see if it works. Also, keep raking them trophies in. Cant wait to get my build going.

Some amps have the clipping light built in, like the fosgate (blue light I believe) and jl audio (green light I believe)

Thanks for watching and commenting. Lots of amps do, my Sundowns have a clip indicator built into the remote gain knob but I was unable to use the remote gain knob due to running two amps gain matched to each other. I'm not sure about the JL but I can tell you the LEDs on the body of the Rockford amplifiers themselves are not accurate. My friend runs a Rockford BDCP 2500 and contacted Rockford and was informed by them that the lights are not accurate. Even if they were accurate being on the amp themselves and not having the ability to see the lights on the amps behind you or in the trunk kinda defeats the purpose of having them. What good are they if you can't see the lights while giving a demo or driving.

My SoundQubed amp has a clipping indicator on the bass knob it comes with, think wolfram has that too and DD audio and others. But this clipping indicator is for special installs like 2 amps etc or using a audiocontrol pre setup for bass or gain. This would probably work with amps like the newer SoundQubed since they come with one on the bass knob, but others with no clipping led built in, it would probably not work. Think SoundQubed is built by S&I also. Think these clipping indicators are really useful. I know I play rock to rap and some pretty much bass only songs. If I turn up gain for the rock song and forget to turn down for a bass heavy song, at least I have a warning to save my subs. I don't even have a spl system, just sound quality, but cant hurt, still like pushing my subs to limit at times.
