RJ is Rick's child and Carl's brother. He looks like Rick;he courageously but respectfully smiles back at his father/brave man. Look how he stands proudly so that his dad can examine him with those razor sharp blue eyes. He never blinks though. He just smiles sweetly because he is a good child who has been brought up to esteem his absent father. The escalation of the music poignantly points this out with limited dialogue. Very Nice!!!
