Everyone is taking pay cuts. Life is extremely hard in China now.Just like how Japan collpased back around 1985, China now is collapsing. In 2021, there was $344 BILLION in Foreign Direct Investment into China, but due to COVID lockdowns in China that damaged the entire manufacturing delivery food chain, foreign companies have been leaving China. People are suffering economically in China as if a depression has started. On top of this, foreign visitors to China has dropped about 65% compared to 2019. This is why China has open to free temporary VISAs to China for some 53 countries as they need hard dollar currency from other countries.

This documentary should have started long before 1979 in the 12th Century. Economically speaking China has been a superpower since the 12th Century. While its true the people were not exactly well off, the dynasties were wealthy until 1840 and due to numerous wars payments weaknesses of policies and imperial will that finally China became an extremely poor country from 1900 after the boxer rebellion onwards.
So when will it stop?

我認為中共政權應該分為二個時期：前一個時期是毛澤東建國以後到其命終的中共政權，後一個時期是鄧小平出任國家領導後進行全面改革開放直到今日的中共政權。
前者是力行馬列共產主義，在政治上搞階級鬥爭、搞三反五反、搞文革，批孔揚秦…等等；在經濟上搞大躍進、土法煉鋼；人民公社、…等等，結果把大陸人民搞得一窮二白、成為藍螞蟻辛苦度日。後者則採修正主義，走社會主義路線，在政治上仍採中央集權，在經濟上則全面改革開放，採納世界先進國家經濟之長，全力發展經濟；於是在國家社會安全穩定的大環境下，讓大陸人民有發展的機會與空間，終於令中國擺脫百餘年的積弱與沉痾，成為當前世界超級大國，其政績有目共睹。
因此，不能忽視中共政權前後時期的演變而一概而論。畢竟在相同的名稱下，其內涵與政績是完全不同的。這也是在台灣的我不再反共並讚嘆今日中國發展的主要原因，因為今日的中共政權不僅能遏制外國列強侵略的威脅，更能讓十四億人民衣食無缺，已然成為世界各國敬重與忌憚的泱泱大國，實不負歷祖先賢之託也。👍👍👍🙏

Since 2010 China has faced cycle after cycle of a sinking stock market and property is still mired in unresolved bankruptcies.
This crisis is a longer term crisis than any other nations in the west has had in almost 90 years.
Government involvement in property and its reluctance to write off bad debt seems crippling

第一，文革和大跃进不论从哪方面讲都是错的，主要原因是毛泽东个人经历学历阅历的不足；第二，在目前阶段左派对中国发展并没有好处，一个劲的洗白毛并不能给毛带来声誉，反而客观的评价毛能够让毛更受人尊敬。毛是一个伟大的战略家，诗人，坚定的马克思主义者。但毛真的不是一个合格的社会主义建设者。第三，承认错误并不可怕，可怕的是故意掩盖错误，甚至把文革当做改革开放准备期的想法更要不得。假如这种想法是对的，是不是每隔40年要搞一次文革，然后再搞改革开放，这样对中国更好呢。我们都是正常的人，人都要自我获得利益的权力，没有必要把自己伟大化，做一个普通人并不会掩盖你的伟大。第四，第一伟大第二伟大已经不是这个社会的追求了，能够为社会奉献，能够做好自己的本职工作，就是一个合格的伟大的人，何必要第几伟大呢，一定要变成希特勒才能拯救人类吗。
