How China Turn in 40 Years to a Superpower: When does it stop?

  • Over the past 40 years, China has transformed from a nation plagued by poverty and starvation into one of the world's most powerful countries. This remarkable journey began in 1979 with economic reforms initiated by Deng Xiaoping, which shifted China from a centrally planned economy to a more market-oriented one. These reforms spurred rapid economic growth, with China's GDP growing at an average annual rate of nearly 10% from 1979 to 2017. This growth helped lift over 800 million people out of poverty, representing a significant portion of the global reduction in poverty during this period.
    Deng's policies included the decentralization of economic decision-making, the introduction of the household responsibility system in agriculture, and the establishment of Special Economic Zones (SEZs) to attract foreign investment. These measures encouraged productivity and innovation, laying the groundwork for China to become a global manufacturing hub.
    China's focus on education and healthcare further bolstered its development. The implementation of compulsory education laws and substantial government spending on education and research created a skilled workforce capable of supporting its industrial and technological advancements.
    In this video, we will explore China's transformation into a superpower from a historical perspective, examining key turning points and milestones along the way.

      China economy is bleak now and companies in Shanghai, Beijing and other tier one cities are shutting down. China is currently in a major recession and falling into a depression. Everyone is taking pay cuts. Life is extremely hard in China now.Just like how Japan collpased back around 1985, China now is collapsing. In 2021, there was $344 BILLION in Foreign Direct Investment into China, but due to COVID lockdowns in China that damaged the entire manufacturing delivery food chain, foreign companies have been leaving China. In 2023, FDI into China was only $33 Billion; an astouding drop of over 90% when it was $344 BILLION in just 2021. This is why the CCP has contacted Westerners and given special deals so they create RUclips videos. This is why there is an explosion of YOTUBE videos in the last 6 months with so many with titles like 'Shocked about China" or "China is NOT What I Expected!" or "Honest Impression of Shanghi." Whoever gives a dishonest impression on Shanghai....except those who don't give you an honest impression.
      People are suffering economically in China as if a depression has started. On top of this, foreign visitors to China has dropped about 65% compared to 2019. This is why China has open to free temporary VISAs to China for some 53 countries as they need hard dollar currency from other countries.
      Foreign direct investment in China falls to 30-year low
      Companies spooked by detentions for alleged spying and U.S. sanctions
      BEIJING -- Investment in China by companies based abroad has sunk to the lowest level in 30 years, according to official data released on Sunday, in a sign that foreign corporations are leaving China due to tougher crackdowns on spying and U.S. sanctions.
      China's foreign direct investment totaled $33 billion on a net basis in 2023, according to the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, down about 80% from 2022. The figure was positive as new investment surpassed outflows. But FDI declined for the second straight year and is less than 10% of the peak of $344 billion marked in 2021.

      Indeed, I also think he ignores that after socialist transformation, China had to quickly receive and digest all kinds of heavy industrial support from the Soviet Union during the Korean War. Receiving this support has left China's grassroots farmers bearing a lot of grain taxes. After that, when relations between China and the Soviet Union deteriorated, China carried out the process of transferring some heavy industrial facilities and workers inland. Chinese farmers also suffer from excessive grain taxes and outdated industrial products. In the early stage of reform and opening up, a large number of laid-off workers and obsolete equipment entered village collective enterprises, which laid a solid material and talent foundation for the prosperity of village collective enterprises at that time.

    Literacy in my view is the Catalyst of change. only a Century ago less than 10 percent of the Chinese population could read and write ,Today that's close to 90 percent. When compared to Western Society the literacy is declining,When asked to identify America on the Map many Ivy league Students picked Africa, When asked why, these future Scholars said because it is bigger? The Chinese students however are way more aware of the outside World.Thats the difference between Education and Indoctrination Chinese Culture puts the needs of the many ahead of the few, USA puts Individual wants ahead of Collective needs ,and Applies American Absolutism !!!

    We have to thank Chairman Mao for everything. Without him tightening his belt to make atomic bombs, hydrogen bombs and satellites, there would be no China today. If the Chinese cannot protect themselves, then the history of the Eight-Nation Alliance will be repeated. Deng Xiaoping is not greater than Mao because reform and opening up was a determined route during Mao Zedong's period. It was just that it was not convenient to open up before, and Deng followed the times. Deng and Mao are both great men! Western media always deliberately belittle Mao, believing that it is all Deng's credit for opening up. Not to mention the intimidation and intimidation of China by Western countries, they even want to send an Eight-Nation Alliance to invade China in North Korea.

While its true the people were not exactly well off, the dynasties were wealthy until 1840 and due to numerous wars payments weaknesses of policies and imperial will that finally China became an extremely poor country from 1900 after the boxer rebellion onwards.

    我認為中共政權應該分為二個時期:前一個時期是毛澤東建國以後到其命終的中共政權,後一個時期是鄧小平出任國家領導後進行全面改革開放直到今日的中共政權。
    前者是力行馬列共產主義,在政治上搞階級鬥爭、搞三反五反、搞文革,批孔揚秦…等等;在經濟上搞大躍進、土法煉鋼;人民公社、…等等,結果把大陸人民搞得一窮二白、成為藍螞蟻辛苦度日。後者則採修正主義,走社會主義路線,在政治上仍採中央集權,在經濟上則全面改革開放,採納世界先進國家經濟之長,全力發展經濟;於是在國家社會安全穩定的大環境下,讓大陸人民有發展的機會與空間,終於令中國擺脫百餘年的積弱與沉痾,成為當前世界超級大國,其政績有目共睹。
    因此,不能忽視中共政權前後時期的演變而一概而論。畢竟在相同的名稱下,其內涵與政績是完全不同的。這也是在台灣的我不再反共並讚嘆今日中國發展的主要原因,因為今日的中共政權不僅能遏制外國列強侵略的威脅,更能讓十四億人民衣食無缺,已然成為世界各國敬重與忌憚的泱泱大國,實不負歷祖先賢之託也。👍👍👍🙏

      I am Chinese and I hate Mao Zedong, who brought famine and poverty and systematically destroyed Chinese culture to the extent that it has not recovered today, persecuted millions of cultural workers and artists during his rule, and highly controlled freedom of expression and thought in the country, resulting in China's former status as the cultural centre of Asia being reduced to its present level of insignificance.

    • @soliaz1911
      @soliaz1911 5 дней назад +1

      The most important thing is that the CCP, which he established and supported with his own hands, has been preserved and is still oppressively ruling all Chinese people as well as persecuting any person or group that might threaten their rule.
      Secondly, the CCP did not help China defeat the Japanese, the CCP did very little in the way of effective acts of resistance throughout the Sino-Japanese war, the absolute mainstay of the frontal battlefield was the Kuomintang regime that has fled to Taiwan today. And after the Japanese surrendered and withdrew from China, CCP fought a civil war with the KMT, another 10 million Chinese were killed or injured as a result of the civil war, but CCP publicised this civil war as a great victory because they gained dominance in China, I only sense evil in it. I hate CCP and I hate Mao Zedong, they brought disaster to China and to the Chinese people unrivalled at any time in Chinese history.

    • @soliaz1911
      @soliaz1911 5 дней назад +1

      Of course, you can also say that under the leadership of the CPC, China today has good economic strength and its military power seems to be okay. But I would say, how much of this is attributable to the CPC? In my opinion, at least the vast majority of it is attributable to the Chinese people, not the CPC. Just take a look at the places in the world with a high proportion of Chinese population, and you will find that whether it is Taiwan, Singapore, or Hong Kong in the past, and so on, all of them are very developed countries and regions, which proves that the Chinese people, irrespective of which political party is in power, have been able to make very high achievements, and that China has, in the course of a long history, been in the long term ranked first in the world. This is illustrated by China's historical feats of being among the first-class countries in the world for a long time. Even, I think that some Chinese rulers in history have rather slowed down the pace of the Chinese people's advancement, prevented them from creating higher achievements, and brought about negative effects or even catastrophic problems of historical retrogression, as the history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) from 1949-1978 effectively illustrates, as China's per capita GDP in the early 1980s was US$100, which was far lower than the GDP of even the world's poorest country at that time. the poorest West African country in the world at that time. I wish no one would praise the Chinese Communist Party any more, the Communist Parties all over the world have brought nothing but endless disasters to the countries and people of the world, and what has happened in China is the greatest in the world.

    But as with America in 1929 and the Depression ,Chinas first crisis as an Industrial nation has struck it hard.
    Since 2010 China has faced cycle after cycle of a sinking stock market and property is still mired in unresolved bankruptcies.
    This crisis is a longer term crisis than any other nations in the west has had in almost 90 years.
    Government involvement in property and its reluctance to write off bad debt seems crippling

      When China makes mistakes they are immense.
      Their inability to liquidate bad debt and their attempts to support a collapsed property market are huge mistakes.
      But Chinese pride makes it hard to admit huge sums were badly invested.
      This implies that the fall out will linger a long long time and the unresolved bad dept will effect the entire economy
      As to never bet against China?
      Right!
      There is a saying with no historical validity.
      China like India, lands of 100s of millions were defeated by tiny European armies sent half way around the world 180 years ago.

    视频整体有点弱化毛主席的感觉,毛主席在新中国的地位绝对是第一,可以这样说没有他就没有现在的中国,还有说大跃进和文化大革命个人也觉得出发点是好的,只是执行出现问题,但饥荒导致的死亡人数是过于夸大,大跃进和文化大革命期间中国取得很多成就,比如原子弹爆炸实验成功,东方红卫星发射成功,袁隆平培育出杂交水稻新品种--南优2号,原子弹出现让中国摆脱了核威慑,美国和苏联都曾对中国发出核威胁,东方红卫星发射成功标准中国进入航天领域,袁隆平培育出杂交水稻成功中国将解决温饱问题提供了坚实的基础。文化大革命还破除了很多旧封建的糟粕,也打击了思想被美西方殖民的部分知识分子的力量,虽然不够彻底,但是也为后续中国在经济改革过程中没有被美西方颜色革命成功提供了思想保障,所以,任何事情都有好坏,文化大革命虽然失败,但有一定的积极性。

      第一,文革和大跃进不论从哪方面讲都是错的,主要原因是毛泽东个人经历学历阅历的不足;第二,在目前阶段左派对中国发展并没有好处,一个劲的洗白毛并不能给毛带来声誉,反而客观的评价毛能够让毛更受人尊敬。毛是一个伟大的战略家,诗人,坚定的马克思主义者。但毛真的不是一个合格的社会主义建设者。第三,承认错误并不可怕,可怕的是故意掩盖错误,甚至把文革当做改革开放准备期的想法更要不得。假如这种想法是对的,是不是每隔40年要搞一次文革,然后再搞改革开放,这样对中国更好呢。我们都是正常的人,人都要自我获得利益的权力,没有必要把自己伟大化,做一个普通人并不会掩盖你的伟大。第四,第一伟大第二伟大已经不是这个社会的追求了,能够为社会奉献,能够做好自己的本职工作,就是一个合格的伟大的人,何必要第几伟大呢,一定要变成希特勒才能拯救人类吗。
