The was one of the best scenes out of the show! Walkers soft side was always amazing to hear. His view on things is fucking amazing.

I like when he mentioned that the ranch is cursed and Beth agreed. I think that was some important foreshadowing of what’s coming. They’re going to lose the ranch.

I have had horses in my life since I was 5 years old. The best horseman I ever knew once told me "A horse can take one look at you and know who you are, where you came from, what you had for breakfast, what you know, what you don't know, and if you don't know that you don't know"! I have learned over the years that wasn't as much exaggeration as it seems.

It's absolutely true, they know more about you in a glance, and in a single felt moment then you will ever know about yourself. I love watching them connect with special needs kids. You can truly watch the horses eyes, and bodies completely transform from what they were 5 minutes before with me. And to gain the trust, and love of an abused horse is pure magic.

@@jsp7410 Indeed! About 40 years ago my first stallion taught me he could read minds! For example, I could be riding toward an object, such as a tree. All I had to do was just think about which side I wanted to pass that object on and that is the side he would always pass on! My wife experienced the exact same thing with him. He also had the ability to know what kind of horse he was supposed to be! With me he was a brusque, macho stallion because he knew I liked that, but still do anything I asked. With my wife he was like a mild mannered gelding. With out 8 year old grandson he was a dead headed kids horse. We tell ourselves we are the species with the superior intelligence, and for the most part that is true! But animals have cognitive abilities we humans can't begin to wrap our minds around.

It's not just about horses, how she treats the horse pretty much sums up the impact of Beth on the World around her, and she gets it a bit. Genius scene and something to think about. 👍

A horse will put your emotions in check every single time.
Good luck riding one if you’re full of anger and fear.
Inner strength and the desire to ride coupled with a good horse is one of the best pairings one can have.
Never let anger and fear get the best of you.
    Amazing scene/writing.

That line should stick out in your mind, because it contradicts itself later on and foreshadows what is to come. "A horse can feel a fly land on it's back".

Ryan makes for a good cowboy. I hope if he's successful in his acting endeavors (see 'Crazy Heart') he won't forget how much I love his music and patiently await his next album here in 'Situation Station' waiting for 'What Would I've Become' if he hadn't tried and "For What It's Worth' "Always waiting on a fucking train" on the 'Southside of Heaven' where this ain't no place for 'The Weary Kind'. Godspeed Ryan.

Ok. I've been married to a cowboy/ cowman/horseman for 32 years. Walker's hat would never stay pristine out of the store clean in daily wear on a ranch. That's a hat that's been worn to town. Beautiful hat,but honey that wouldn't look that way after one day in the life of a ranch cowboy. Other than that I've the show.
