This upload is outstanding: it misses all the dross and BS, gets straight to the point, delivers the info one is looking for. Well done and thank you Gray!
Thank you very much. It is well explained. Basically I understood how system works , which is very important before reading the instructions on the box. I am definitely buying it.
Everyone seems to be going to,solar powered watering systems and I’m looking at this but yikes not cheap. Food for thought though Grey have a super weekend, Ali 💕🇨🇦
Hi there Gray. Can you post an updated video to see how the system is working today. I am having a hard time deciding doing my own or buying something pre manufactured. Love from California brother.
Cheers Gray, very impressed with this, how many drippers will the unit deliver to effectively? Happy for you to pass my details to your contact as I would love to review this model. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.
What happens if you want to use it on just a small number of plants? Is the amount of water pumped controlled by the number of drippers? Great video by the way, thank you
Hi, yes it is. You control how much water comes out each cycle. Less plants, less drippers. Ive tried a few different solar watering systems and this is by far the best 👍
2:29 Awesome Content! 🎉 We would love to see a follow up video on how well the product withstand several months of use. How about it? Thank you so much! ❤
Hi there, welcome to the channel and thank you for the lovely comments. I am definitely going to do a follow up video. This watering system is fantastic , it has kept my tomatoes, melons and blueberries watered all summer long. It will be switched off over the winter but I will be back to film it's effectiveness after 12 months 😊
@@tyronewoodly hi, I actually turn mine off over the winter as I only use it to water my toms, cucumbers and melons. But the solar panel charges the battery in any daylight so I presume it will still be fine
Thank you. Yes definitely. My green house is 5m x 2m. You can always buy extension pack of the tubing if needed, but see how you go. It's a brilliant bit of kit 👍
By the way, I always wanted to grow something directly on a bag of soil. It’s great to see that your tomatoes are doing great. Did you eventually transplant it out?
Hi, I've kept it at 03 all summer and my tomatoes and melons appear v healthy. The hotter it is the more frequent it turns on and vice versa. Could not recommend this high enough if you want consistent watering without the manual effort ☺️
Hi, just a low buzzing noise for 10 mins or so whilst it's on. I'll be making an update video in the summer so I'll make sure I capture the noise. But honestly can't recommend this product enough. Saves hours of watering time 👍
Would you use this system in a raised vegetable garden? I'm wondering if it would still work the same if the short extensions with drippers are closed together, for example to irrigate rows of lettuce. Would it produce the same pressure level?

Wow what a brilliant system, time saving too
Thank you 😊
That’s really useful Gray! I am already finding I’m doing loads of trips to my plot to water in the greenhouse
Get yourself one Amir. Life changer 😁
Liked the solar drip system! May get one for my new polytunnel 😊
Do it, you won't regret it 😊
Super useful & absolutely beneficial!
Glad you enjoyed 😊
Very useful gardener gray, I’m going to put an order in for my new greenhouse, great idea 🙌

Hi Terry, this model supports 24 drippers. Think they do others of different sizes too.
I'll pass on your details. Thanks for the comment 😊

I'm wondering whether adding some kind of universal fertiliser to the water butt would work?
Yea maybe. Just as long as it's diluted enough
Thank you. Are you keeping the barrel filled up with water via guttering or by transferring water from elsewhere using a bucket?
@@Clearlight201 hi. I do both. I have guttering linked up with a hose from my greenhouse but if there is no rain for 2 weeks, then I top it up by hose
Hi, do you know hw long it will take until it starts dripp, I can not see the water yet...?
Hi, it should start as soon as it's switched on, unless it's not charged. Are the numbers showing on the display?
@@GardenerGray I can see the number but no water..I am at work now but will check if it has started later tonight
Hope it works for you 🤞
How loud is the pump?
Hi, it's a dull buzz while it's in operation which lasts for about 5 mins. I can't personally hear it from about 10ft away. Hope this helps 👍
Hello I’m just wondering how well it works in the winter ❄️ when there is less light ? Great video 👍

@@GardenerGray thank you very much have a great day
very nice video. thank you for your video. you said you drip, then turn it off after 3 hours. how long before you start drip again?
Great video . Do you think this big enough to use on 6 x3 polytunnel ??
Thank you. Yes definitely. My green house is 5m x 2m.

Is it not overwatering tomatoes though? Do you run it at 03 setting for the whole growth period?

I’ve heard it’s kinda noisy. Is that correct?

The reason I asked is because I’m thinking of buying one. I can really see the benefits.
